This makes me shudder for a SHF SS Rod and Ax form would most likely cause them to release an alternate version of Plat Form with alternate back piece to display Rod/Ax form simultaneously.

It's not Plat Form's release that's a cash grab; stuff like that being released is good. I mean that you have to buy it if you want Gun Form, meaning you ultimately pay more than what you would if Sword and Gun were just separate releases. There was no point to putting Sword and Gun in the same pack.

I mean that's also assuming everyone buying SS Den-O wants to display both Sword and Gun Form separately. I'm sure some do, but I know I don't for example. I actually like the form swap gimmick more since it lets me have both forms without needing the space for a completely separate figure in-storage or on a shelf. And since I mainly display in base form, I can keep the Gun Form parts stored until I need them for photography. I'm sure there are plenty of other collectors who look at it similarly.

Same reason I like Evol. I basically get one figure with the ability to pull off 3 forms whenever I wish. And even then you'll still have completionists that want all 3 forms on display, thus they'll buy Evol 3 times.

I am assuming a lot of people would want to do that, because as compared to Evol's forms which are very minor and got like 1-2 episodes each and whose very release is a complete surprise; Den-O's forms are much more major -- they're actual characters and post-series stuff got to the point where there's actually people arguing they could be considered their own riders. They're a hell of a lot more important than other form switches SHF has recently done, and they know this, which is why they're releasing them this way to begin with.

Kurona, to reply to something you asked a while back on this forum, best selection build doesnt suffer the qc issues that were prevalent with og ultra. Plastic and rubber on the release is just as good as rider kicks or the first release. Only thing that concerned me was that i encountered a fleck of paint chipping from somewhere i couldnt see on the figure. I dont know if light paint chipping is common on case fresh figuarts. Oh and the joints were super tight.

Also hi im new here lol. I just made an account today after 10 years of lurking. Nice to finally chat with you. I had a question about rider shfs, is it common to see slight paint flakes after posing them straight out of the box? Or did mine just have excess paint near a joint since i couldnt find the flaking on the figure? Also is slight overspray common? Ive seen some copies of best selection build have molding issues on the rubber and and some paint issues there as well. I only saw this on the initial batch released in asian markets and thankfully my copy from bluefin was perfect so maybe just an issue in the first batch. Just something to watch out for.

After looking at reviews of SHF Evol, I suddenly want to preorder him if he ever comes back in the P-Bandai shop. The prices just keep going up up up! I'm starting to feel like a moron for passing him up in the first round.

That thing puts the 'art' in 'Figuart', it's a masterpiece in it's own right, even without weapons! And with how much charisma Evol had in the show, it's definitely bumped up my (really short) 'really want it' list.

You put words to my thoughts! I said it before when he was first revealed, but Evol really is the type of character who doesn't need weapons at all; even if a Steam Blade or something would be appreciated to recreate a few scenes. It ultimately doesn't matter as he looks beautiful and the poses and forms he can pull off are more than enough to warrant the price!

Considering the reissues are only on p- bandai, wont it be next to impossible to get a preorder in via middleman, since they're such in demand figures?

Premium Bandai figures are in my experience actually a lot easier if you know what you're doing. Retail SHFs sell out in seconds (aside from Vulcan and Blades), but Premium Bandai stuff stays on the website for about a month so you've got a big window of time to sort stuff out through proxy services like Zenmarket or good middlemen like Nin Nin Game.

I can't say it's something I've experienced -- even comparing the two Build SHFs I have (Cross-Z Great and RabbitRabbit, both of which I've had for a year or so), they seem perfectly fine.

I didnt find any chipped areas so probably some overspray on the near the joints. So it's probably nothing. Thanks for the clarification.

I can confirm the paint can flake but only on certain colors, I've found.

My SHF Vulcan's silver lavender(?) had chipped on his hips and both my Cross-Z Charge and Woz have chipped on the thigh and butt area. My Zero-One's silver chipped at the elbow. Definitely look out on the silver riders.

Weirdly enough it was the pinkish red on rabbit tank that chipped. I inspected the figure but didnt find any chipping. Maybe it was overspray or maybe i missed something. It was an extremely small micro- speck on my finger. I was really careful, so hopefully it's nothing. Thanks for the info tho TheRaizin, ill keep a lookout for it just in case. If it is chipping, is it preventable or an inevitability with S.H.F riders?

Definitely preventable. Just handle them with care. I screw around with my figures a lot, so those can happen.

This but it's Banjou. He's a joy to watch more so than Sento is since he fits into my guilty pleasure of "punch harder" protagonists. I hopped onto Build when Cross-Z's original SHF orders stopped, but I knew I had to get a figure of Banjou somehow. Got Charge later on a christmas shopping, not my favorite form, but it's Banjou. Looking forward to his reissue!

Pretty much, yeah. Lazer is the only one who left the Top 5 on one occasion, but I would assume since he was back on Day 3 he's locked in.

I... actually have none of them. But I'm only looking to buy Cross-Z and Ohma Zi-O. Cross-Z I have no mighty need for but if they're reissuing him why not. Ohma Zi-O I actually wanted ever since the final episode of Zi-O. But at that point he was long gone, so I gladly take a reissue.

I wonder when they’re gonna sell these next year. Hopefully like one every 2 months or something and not all at once.

Lazer did leave the spot on day 2 so while I think he's the most likely 5th place, I wouldn't hold your breath -- for reference the other contenders for that space were Blade King, Grease, Grease Blizzard, Blood Stalk and Zangetsu Shin.

Having completed Memory of Heroez, I kinda really want a Seihou of Mukachiri Combo now. Also very tempted to pre-order SHF Upgrade's' Flying Falcon kit, as that form was super useful all throughout what little of the game you're allowed to play as Zero-One.

Just a bit of a random thought that came to me but after rewatching Akibaranger I think I'd need to move out of house if I ever want to own the Season Tsuu Figuarts. I'm going to be a bit embarrassed if I ever own Super Akiba Red and my parents see it.

Still waiting on them for possible Punching Kong/Rampage and Ark-One converison kits. It'd be a nice little project.

Doubt they could tell the mechanical Z-Cune armor as a girl being cradled by Akiba red.

Ark-One and Rampage Gatling are 1000% getting their own releases. I could see Ark-One taking a bit more time because last-minute changes caused it to be a lot more major than originally planned (I imagine Ark-Scorpion will also take a bit because its entire existence was last-minute), but given how critically important it is and how popular Zero-One has proven to be it'll happen.

I'd be pretty interested in seeing them do a Lightning Hornet kit, though Valkyrie is of course a lot more expensive than Rising Hopper or Shooting Wolf and it would have to be a lot more extensive due to the armour from Cheetah to Hornet going from right arm/right leg to right arm/left arm.

Me and my parents are quite close; they take a close interest in my toys and I take a close interest in their hobbies; they're BOUND to notice sooner or later. Especially my dad, who sometimes looks at my Transformers and Gunpla and lets me play with his Soul of Chogokin. That's gonna be one awkward dinner conversation.

He mainly collects Voltes V stuff. Because, you know, Filipino nostalgia. He's not a 'collector' in the traditional sense so I got a bit annoyed when I had to stop him from throwing away the packaging for the SOC Voltes V 40th edition (and I'm the guy who throws away packaging!).

Going back to the topic of SHFs, I was listening to Evolt's theme song when I remembered about Black Hole's SHF and how it's a bit cheaper than regular Evolt. Did a quick google search and realized that his orders stopped a long time ago. Big shame. I liked Black hole.

I mean, there is the possible reissue coming up, but the inflation on that one is gonna sting a lot. Wonder when are they gonna announce the reissues tho. I'm itching for Cross-Z.

Unfortunately, I think the reissue is only for regular Evol not Black Hole.

Evol Black Hole is out this month, by the by (as well as Ixa and Vulcan Assault) so you should be able to find him secondhand soon enough. I imagine with Phase 1 being a lot more popular he shouldn't be toooooo expensive...

I actually think that's one of the most clever suit designs I've seen in a long time. Apart from the design's implication, you must admit they really nailed the theme and concept. Suit motifs were one of the biggest aspects of toku that pulled me in so I have lots of opinion on them!

Btw, did your dad pick up the Voltes V Mini Action figure from Action Toys? I picked it up recently and it's very impressive! Though, admittedly few things compare to the SOC.

I'd absolutely love a Lightning Hornet figure. Figures that make sense to be floating are easy to display with all the empty vertical space in my display has. I also think it would just fit in with my Kabuto figures :)

Isn't Action Toys the company that did the revamped machine robo figures? If so, wow, to do a voltes v at that scale with action toys quality, must be pretty good. And few things ever come close to the ChOnky might of the SOC line.

Super Akiba Red is definitely clever, although I'll still be a bit embarrassed to own it! Again, maybe when I finally move out lol. Akibaranger Figuarts are dirt cheap right now so I don't expect that to change when I move out.

And yes my dad did pick up the Action Toys ver. He also bought another one for a family friend when they reissued it (which hasn't arrived yet due to lockdown restrictions). It's definitely very impressive! Very sturdy and whatnot.

Speaking of reissues, if the SHFs are getting reissued next April, then, whew, more than enough time to save up for Evol then.

Actually, I already have enough money to buy SHF Evol if/when he gets reissued but I'm gonna go broke after that so time to get more money so I don't become broke hahaha.
