SHF Assault Vulcan is out and some parts of the dark blue are weirdly matte. You also have to remove the forearm gatling guns to swap out the hands since the fist hands have their own strap. He comes with somewhat painted keys(opened Assault Wolf, and closed versions of S.Wolf and P.Kong). And yeah, I still think the head is too big and the shoulders too small.

Assault Hopper also had a closed R.Hopper key. I'm guessing the closed keys are included since those are something they actually used with their weapon. So, I don't know what kind of closed key would Rampage come with.

Bit disappointed now that Thouser doesn't come with a closed Amazing Horn key since he does use it on his Thousand Jacker.

It's because those keys are in the respective rider's holsters most the time! I just wasn't sure the SHFs would go that far.

I'm looking over a lot of pre-orders right now and it seems most get announced and go up about 5 months before release, so February is weirdly improbable but... hm. Seihou Sagouzo in general has been a weird oddity this whole time with how much it's been delayed for no apparent reason.

When they eventually release Z Original, I hope he'll include pointy finger hands, because I want to recreate this pose.

I'd pick one up myself, but I'm saving up the money for Calibur and Espada. Would love to see a Geiz Majesty tho, despite how unlikely that may be.

Not a bad suit design but it would look better with a less Iron Man color scheme, which seems to be somewhat of a default for generic power-armor.

Its amazing that in 10 years china has gone from just bootlegging s.h. figuarts, to actually making their own offerings that, at a glance, look good enough to compete with figuarts.

That was the point i was trying to make. China just deals with manufacturing, which is the reason they're also able to steal the molds and make bootlegs. If china manufacturing shfs meant they "made" them, then they would make brand name transformers too (hasbro just puts their name on the boxes lol). But for them to go out on a limb and manufacture and design their own homegrown competitor to figuarts, rather than bootlegging or manufacturing figuarts for japan, is amazing and shows how far they've come. I look forward to what stuff they've got coming next, i really hope they dip into their backlog and make some of the older series suits in this figure line. Some of those were real stunners.

You'd probably want to get Saber since he is the main rider, or you could just wait for one of his super forms.

Calibur can be a pass since we might get Jaouh Dragon, and Blades you can wait to drop in price. Ichigata would be a must-get tho.

Blades is almost certainly becoming very available and a little cheaper than retail. If Vulcan still is at this stage despite his become absurdly popular, even if Blades becomes popular himself; I think that's a pretty good indication. I'd skip Blades for now if he's giving you issues with deciding who to get, he's easily the safest bet of the lot on the aftermarket.

Saber of course will be a little hard to get too due to being a main rider unless a re-issue happens, so I'd try and get him while he's cheap -- you likely won't get that chance again. Calibur strikes me as the Premium Bandai rider that's going to be the hardest to get on the aftermarket, unless our eventual Q2 post-Christmas Rider ends up being awesome. It's hard to beat the cool-looking base form of an intimidating antagonist who's purple to boot.

That said? I think Saber SHFs on the whole won't be some of the hardest to get on the aftermarket. Unless something turns it around, unlike Build and Zero-One's stuff which are popular series; Saber is very unpopular right now from all indications and not something a lot of collectors seem to be clamouring for. I'd look at the likes of Ghost and Zi-O's aftermarket prices to see how this will go; aside from the main rider for obvious reasons I doubt it'll be hard to get stuff on the aftermarket if you really want it.

Figuarts Geiz Revive has popped up for as low as 5000 yen on Mandarake since the summer but you'd have to stalk the website to catch that from time to time.

I preordered Saber and Blades. I want Calibur because I prefer his base form more than Jaou Dragon honestly. Though maybe I should wait for aftermarket price considering that yeah maybe Saber isn't as popular as of now.

Amazon royally screwed me on the S.H figuarts best selection Build. They ran out of stock sold at the $35 retail price and i called them to ask if they were getting a restock, they said no. I then bought it for $50 with shipping from Lunar Toy stores amazon store, and now like magic, they have more in stock, shipped and sold by amazon, for $35. I can't even return it cause of price or get the difference because it was a third party transaction. So im out $15. That was almost enough to cover a Marvel Legends retro spidey, and they got some more of those in stock at $20 retail.

If Saber really does become unpopular and the Figuarts become cheap, win for me! Saber's story aside, I love the designs, I love knights and I love reading books (except for melodramatic romantic novels); this series' aesthetics was practically custom-tailored to my tastes.

At the current price tag i tried to preorder sabers figuart, but it sold out. I watched like part of the show, and didnt like it, but like you, Gashatfreak, i think the designs are great. Hopefully, you guys are right about the show sucking, i hope it lets me snag a saber close to or below retail.

I purchased the retro spidey from Amazon and they packed it in the bubble envelope. The only damage was the top and bottom of the blister were slightly crushed, but I feel it could’ve been much worse. The one time I care about the package and that happened. Saber might not be a masterpiece like Build, but you can't deny that it's definitely fun to watch right now so I wouldn't say it's entirely bad. Even if the merchandising onslaught is even more blatant than previous shows.

There are aspects I can understand about why some people aren't liking Saber right now, and even I have my own issues with it, but I'd never hope it does poorly. So far it's fairly enjoyable to watch even if it feels like it's moving a bit too fast.

Ever since the pandemic hit, BBTS seems to be getting alot of its stock super late. I know a couple pre-orders I had from them(like Revoltech War Machine) I had to wait a few extra months to get. And I'm still waiting on some others(like Moderoid Great Zeorymer). They must've gotten hit pretty hard.
