I'm really confused HOW this is happening, though. There's Realising Hopper, sure; but that was a limited release and a lot of people really don't like the changes on that, and Tamashii Nation's rerelease of Ultraman Zero sure as heck didn't make him cheaper.

I would also like to point out that I did the most cliched toku fan thing: I bought a figure I didn't need right now (that Zero-One won't get opened until 2022) to make the shipping costs seem less egregious for the cheaper figure I really wanted.

Oh, I know that feeling. Recently I bought SHF Geiz specifically for the ridewatch stands; Geiz himself I was selling off to someone else. So what I was getting out of that purchase, purely, was the stands for Zi-O and Geiz (and also Kiva who I threw in). It was a pretty cheap purchase and I figured I'd just get it out of the way.

... and then it got hit by customs?! For no reason? It's, like, the cheapest import order I've ever made! And I was immediately so regretful I hadn't gotten anything more prominent with it to make it worth it.

Mandarake is unbelievably fast with DHL(and not too expensive tbh). I live in MA and most of my packages arrive in less than 2 business days. Kurona lives in the UK, if I remember correctly, so customs might be a pain in the ass over there sometimes. I have not had a single bad experience with customs in the US.

Get an idea of how big SHF boxes can be, and take note of the DHL box sizes that Mandarake ships in, so you can have a relatively decent idea of how much shipping will be. They charge only like, 10 USD for their smallest DHL box, so I keep my orders around certain dimensions.

So if i order just rising hopper my shipping could be 10 bucks and get me to me that quick?

Yeah our post office is just, rubbish. Got privatised and went downhill very quickly; shipping rates are ridiculous and the customs office is the worst. If you're outside the UK this shouldn't be an issue for you.

Mandarake is pretty basic in terms of use; it's like most any other website you'd import stuff from. The only real thing to keep in mind is that you have to order from the same store if you're ordering something together.

Oh I'm planning to order two more sets at christmas to complete my set (I already have one each of the Heisei 1 and Heisei 2 sets; I just need more stands so I can have all Rider stands at once). Amiami has had them reduced to 600 yen for about a year now so that's what I'm planning to use; especially since they've also got UAF Luna Miracle Zero on sale too.

SHF Zi-O is just a little under 4000 yen and he’s always in stock, I wonder what happened there if Zi-O line sold really well. Or was it just the DX ride watches that people bought ?

My recent Mandarake order got to me in 4 days from the day I paid the invoice.

Like other have said, you its really important to pay attention to the physical size of your order (less so weight, unless it is ridiculously heavy). They will split boxes if you request, but it doesn't always save on shipping and if you cancel too many orders your account will get banned.

I think a single modern SHF fits into the smallest DHL box and the shipping will be around $12. Although the last "small" order I made, had a shipping cost of 1,670 yen ($16). And my biggest order ever was $66 shipping.

For me it was always dependent on the store.

Complex was always the fastest, while Nakano was always the slowest for me. Sahra was the most expensive.

Cheapest DHL was around $13 for a single Figuart. Most was around $200 when trying to order an $8 Gashacon keyslasher. Which is one of the orders I had to cancel.

I learned from Kurona(or was it someone else? I forgot...) that Sahra is actually a warehouse, so shipping prices are kind of insane. For the first year I learned about Mandarake, I only ever placed orders with Sahra, since they always had everything I wanted, but always felt the shipping prices were kind of harsh. After actually shopping at their other locations, it blew my mind how cheap DHL actually was lol

Oh yeah, it's hard to get DX stuff via DHL...even if you get something that doesn't come with the box. Bigger shipments are the one reason I miss EMS.

Damn, well i guess i missed my shot. Maybe in another millenia rising hopper will pop up on manda for close to retail. At least the entry grade zero one is a somewhat decent stand-in with some paint and mods.

Rising Hopper figuarts on Mandarake pop up for no higher than 4500 yen....the problem always been getting one before someone else beats me to it. Since I was finally able to score one finally and recently from mandarake I've noticed they're no longer selling out as fast as before.

Meanwhile I'm just here praying a Tank Tank pops up on there again some day -_-

Thanks for keeping an eye out, but 4,000 yen was my limit on recent figure purchases as im strapped atm after black friday, so it was great that manda had a rising hopper for just that much. Thank you for taking the time to help me, it's much appreciated.

I love how "I spent ¥4000 on a figure I didn't need to save ¥1000 on shipping" is such a universal Mandarake experience. Also yes, be very careful buying DX from them. The prices sing a tempting siren song, but the shipping is the deadly rocks that lie just out of sight

No, yeah, you're fine with that stuff. The drivers and weapons are what will screw you over on shipping. The deals on gimmick items aren't as impressive as the deals on the drivers though

A lot of DX stuff comes in oversized packaging that makes them have to use large shipping boxes. And they won't fold or remove those big flaps that give the toys extra shelf presence.

Which older rider figuarts do you guys think are still worth getting? Any movie rider still worth getting or do you think seihou will cover them?

On a sidenote, would og figuarts zeronos altair or vega form look out of place with the figurise den-o?

Oh, those! I think any of the kaijin figures could pass because of their elaborate designs. Best examples could be the Orphnoch, Phoenix and Medusa Phantoms. I think the Zodiarts could fit too. Bit sad Aquarius Zodiarts was a Zero too...

Den-O's main forms and the blue box version of New Den-O can pass as well when put to none SHFSS modern figures, but putting them next to SHFSS Den-O or even FRS Den-O will make them too small or too skinny.

The really old ones however like the movie riders won't sadly.

Oh wow, that Gaoh really hasn't aged well. Looks more like a Souchaku Henshin figure than a modern SHF

The Horse Orphnoch is awesome.

N Daguva Zeba is a bit eh, he isn't terrible, but he is VERY dated.

Kaijin and movie riders feel like a crapshoot as far as SS goes. I didn't expect any kaijin, yet we got Daguva. Movie riders that share tooling with main riders (e.g. Nega Den-O) might have a fair shot, especially if they're from a popular show.
