Espada's preorder page is up on P-Bandai and something that caught my interest is that it will come with "wonder ride book (closed) 3 types".

One of the product shots shows Espada scanning a yellow Wonder Ride Book on his sword, but I find it redundant to include three blank yellow books so I feel like this means that Espada will come with a blank red book and a blank blue book for Saber and Blades respectively. After all, Saber and Blades didn't come with closed Wonder Ride Books.

Don't have either figure, but from some speed builds it looks like the head on the entry grade is attached via balljoint. So you could try to swap the two. I think in the most extreme case, you can remove the neck peck from the SHF and 3D print a compatible one to go with the entry grade head

I was referring to the possible option of swapping the actual mask since I already got the SHF's mask out of the way. I noticed that the peg on the SHF is on the chin, possibly same position to the EG as well. But I'll try the head swap too.

So when they explained the situation to me when I messaged them two weeks back, they had sent out all the units to those who paid in-full first. They were receiving another 18 units last week and then any other units would come as available. For example, for preorder fulfillment I was around #26 on the list so that shipment wouldn't have covered me yet.

I'd also keep in mind that the holiday season probably also means their shipments coming into their warehouse will probably be delayed given the business. I highly doubt they'd take money and run given how responsive with shipping they've been with my prior full and partial-payment preorders, so it's more that we gotta just wait for when they get refresher shipments since it's understandable that full payment preorders and early partial preorders would get priority.

I feel like if there had to be a perfect opportunity to give Sentai SHFs another shot to test the waters, this would be it.

The suit is classic yet modern and fairly unique in the sense that it isn't repainted 4 times, which makes it easy for people to purchase the "Red" of the show with no worries concerning "completing" a team. Yes the 4 robots are part of it, but the way I see it they are not Rangers in the traditional sense.

Plus, it's a big anniversary season which is sure to get people excited.

The only downside I’m seeing is picking up a modern Sentai hero while so many others are missing, but they have to start again somewhere.

I'm not sure if I've said it here before, but while I get why Sentai SHFs didn't sell well; I'm still surprised they don't at least make the Reds (and, uh, Kaisers?) and Sixths of the cocurrent season, I'm pretty certain they'd get their money back on those. So, yeah, they totally should do him! Only thing is I'd then be sad they didn't do this back on the 40th anniversary

I can see an SHF of ZenKaiser what with it being an anniversary season. It might even be a P-Bandai or limited release thing, because I still don't think SHFs are a good fit for the target audience of Sentai.

They have a very small fan base even in japan and the line died off in 2015 and I would believe that (according to bandai) once a line is dead it stays dead. This holds true for others lines as well I don’t want to get hype only for nothing to happen.

I believe like this back in 2015 when we got that rumor figuart list where Megared and cyber slider were coming and it was not. I learn back then not to hold my breath for a figuart that’s never gonna be made why because BANDAI says it does not sell.

One of the last Red's for an ongoing show they made sold so terribly it was in the clearance bin for years - might still be, haven't looked in a while.

Kyoryu Red for anyone curious, although that might just be due to the character and not Reds in general.

Part of me feels the team aspect is why the Sentai stuff didn't sell as well as they hoped it would.

Compared to Kamen Rider, Ultraman, etc, you have more options in terms of how you collect those sub-lines. For Sentai, it's usually either you're only in for the Reds and/or Sixths or you're in for the whole team. There's no wiggle room unless you happen to be a huge fan of a single color.

I imagine that compounding that is the price increase -- years ago SHFs didn't cost that much; they were most commonly around the price of... well, the lower pricetag that main riders get these days. But as the line increased in quality the prices increased with it -- and that's why you see a lot less accessories, a lot less forms being released, a lot more things being Premium Bandai.

Like, for example; back in 2014, SHF TriceraRanger was 3780 Yen. 3780 Yen. And he was Premium Bandai. That's about half the price most SHF Riders on the site go for these days and he's got way more accessories; so if full teams of SHF Sentai were having a tough time selling back then, can you imagine how badly it'd go today when SHF prices are such that they'd at least be breaking 5000?

IMO I feel Sentai figuarts didn't sell aside from Gokaiger/Zyuranger/MMPR was because they avoided seasons that didn't have an American counterpart such as Megaranger amd Ohramger. Also like others have mentioned why didn't they do figuarts of cool designs like Dekamaster, Kingranger and many others. I understand their main audience was Japan but they could of capitalized on the MMPR sales by following up with with another popular American season

I feel as if Kamen Rider Mars and Kamuro has more chance of being made into Figuarts then them going back to Sentai Figuarts. At least there's YU-DO.

Part of me still can't believe how much more I am paying for SHF's nowadays. I first started back in like 2012 getting some Shinkenger and Gokaiger ones that were on sale from HLJ for like 1000-2000 yen (which translated to about $20-30CAD) and now I've come deep enough into the rabbit hole to accept that it's the norm to be paying $100+CAD for a regular or Premium Bandai SHF (though now I am mainly focused on MCU stuff which seems to be on the pricier side). lol. Obviously prices have gone up in the past decade but it's still something I think about every now and then. Haha.

Yeah, inflation is definitely part of it, but... wow. I do appreciate how much better SHFs are these days, but I've said this before -- I would definitely take like Fourze or Akaranger level SHFs if it meant having their low prices, their wider availability and their large array of accessories. Getting some of the older SHFs has been a treat just for how easy it is and how much they come packed with!

TBH, with Lightning Collection being a thing now it makes up for the loss of Sentai SHF, at least for the shows I really like. Sure, I probably won't get a decent 6 inch Patren#1 but I'll probably get a decent Ryusoul Red; and the TimeForce Red is a pretty great release.

On the topic of the state of Sentai target audience, I haven't really seen many Japanese Youtubers make videos on sentai items. At least the one's I see put much more focus on DX, SG, Gashapon for Rider and Ultra in addition to the usual figure reviews.

I still remember when I bought Figuarts Ryuuki and Knight on release week for about $50 a piece. If those sets came out now, they'd easily go for $100+ on-release. Inflation's a hell of a beast.

Lightning Collection's one of those things where it has good and bad sides when it comes to filling the Figuarts void. One one hand, the articulation is very good, the character choices fill gaps, etc. On the other, lack of paint in a lot of cases can be distracting, lack of certain accessories can be very noticeable, some teams having members swapping genders on-adaptation means if you're Sentai-only you'll have male Sentai members represented on female molds, etc.

There's also a lack of hands, too -- they only have two pairs including the one that's attached out of the box, and they mostly prioritise 'action' poses so fists, chops, weapon holding hands. Outside of Abarekiller and Timered this means there's very few good options for expression

The lack of signature pose hands in favor of generic chopping or punching hands is a huge detriment for the LC.

They seem to base hands off the awful American promo shots where everyone is doing generic "karate" poses, instead of signature poses from the show. With exceptions of course like AbareKiller and Beet Buster.

I'm still amazed Beast Morpher Gold came with the Magi-Magi hand. That honestly felt like something a Figuarts Beet Buster would have come with if it ever happened.

To anyone still looking for a SHF of Shining Assault, I just got an alert for it for 5,500 yen. Though, someone got to it first. So, he's kinda lowering in price slowly, which I somewhat expected.

I don't know much of anyone who does figure commissions since those are pretty rare. But, I did some digging around Twitter and you could probably hit up @XavierCal_Store or @KingRangerProps, since it seems like they do custom commissions.

I'd take alert that commissioning figures might get real pricy.
