Because Captain Force makes more since and also helps explain the pirate theme. Also, I only suggested alternate universes due to the fact that 1 Disney tried to treat the first ten seasons as not canon ( or cannon ) to their seven seasons and 2 Saban doesn't really care for the Disney season's and wants very little or nothing at all to do with them and the Power Rangers from those seasons; which seemed obvious in Clash of The Red Rangers and The Legendary Battle.

I do agree that Saban Brands has been less than cordial to the Disney seasons, but SPD was used more than any other team in Super Megaforce. The CotRR thing was because of a strike, not to any animosity from SB. Dino Thunder celebrated the legacy of Power Rangers, SPD used the Time Force suit which makes it appear to be cannon with the other seasons, and Ninja Storm mentioned in the first episode how Power Rangers were real, so I don't agree with you Disney treating the first ten seasons as not cannon.

And renaming the second half of a season makes no sense. They were the same team except for Orion and the suits were a power up from the Megaforce suits (they called it "Super Mega Mode"). And it is also not going to happen from a branding standpoint, so it is a moot point as previously stated.

I have no idea if Haim Saban dislikes the Disney seasons (no reason to think he wouldn't like them), but Saban Brands (I guess JT at the time) tried to ignore them by not inviting any Disney era actors back for the legendary battle
