The DX Don Onitaijin size is really big.

Maybe DX Don Onitaijin size (without swords on the back) is same size as DX Go-Buster-Oh.

I've literally never purchased a current Sentai mecha before, what places would carry this? Would HLJ have it?

Yeah HLJ, Amiami, just about any Japanese toy store. If they don't have it listed now, they will later.

Don Onitaijin looks awesome and I'm glad that it's a suit and not CG. (The CG for Don Zenkaioh is actually alright to be fair though. But still!) I hope he rolls up on a boat every time.

The DX toy looks great. It's gonna completely dwarf the Kiramager Robo.

Though the individual robots look a little rough. Especially Onisister.

It's been up for preorder on Tokullectibles for a while. That's where I got mine.
