No one ever thought the show would be this popular. The production crew have said as much. It was just a 1 season filler thing to bridge the gap til Reconquista, but it was so immensely popular that it spawned a sequel.

So likely the in story explanation will be he died his hair to be more like Sei who he probably looks up to like a big brother/idol. That or China had another little brother we never saw :lol

I haven't watch a Gundam show since Seed was on Toonami, would Build Fighters be the best one to get back into the franchise? G Gundam is my favorite next to the original series and Wing. I only grew up with the ones on Toonami. I seen a few episodes of Seed Destiny and OO when they were on TV and I didn't like them that much.

Build Fighters is very different. It's in the vein of G Gundam but I wouldn't really use it as a way to get back into the franchise since it's such a different beast entirely.

I like 00 and would say use that to get back in by default but you said you didn't like it when it aired.

It depends. Build Fighters is the Gundam equivalent of Yu-Gi-Oh, Custom Robo, and even Akibaranger to a degree. It's plot is vastly different from the other series and while some conventions are probably still there, it is a completely different beast. That said though it's one of the first Gundam shows I watched and it sparked my interest to look at other shows and got me really into wanting to do Gunpla. So it definitely has the ability to bring one into the franchise I think.

Personally I'd say it wouldn't be a bad way to try and get back into the series. But if you want something closer to a regular Gundam show then it probably isn't.

I asked before is episode 51 of Gundam seed importance due to I learned it never got dubbed.

If G Gundam is among your favorites, then this is a good show to watch. If you go in expecting teen drama, countless deaths, and the futility of war, then you probably won't like it. This isn't that show. Build Fighters is a fun tournament fighter with very nerdy references and great mecha action.

However, the best thing to do is just give the first episode a watch. The entire series is up on Gundam.Info's youtube channel (Sunrise's official channel) with Eng Subs.

HG 1/144 Strike Freedom's wings on HG 1/144 Astray Red Frame flight type...

I wanted to kitbash a HG 1/44 Nebula Blitz once too but no way to get Gold Frame's backpack on Blitz...

Why not leave the flight back but remove the wings, then cut off a piece of sprue and use that as your connector for the dragoons?

If you have any Build FIghters add ons, the pieces that look like tops might work too.

Mehhh, my Gunpla building itch is getting stronger and stronger.

I'm wondering, does anyone know the basic story of Gundam 00p, the prequel manga to 00? I've been looking up summaries and they're all really confusing.

Not a huuuge fan of how the glossy white turned out, but this thing's a thing of beauty. Glad I decided to throw in an order none the less, this kit looks gorgeous.

I was actually attempting to paint my own but glad I don't have to now, just as well because I was having issues with the paint scrapping off on the joints...

I'll try but I'll have to borrow my mom's camera and it probably won't be finished till Early January since I won't be getting the kits till December and then I'll need some Black and Red paint...

So I am going to comic con in for weeks in the UK and hoping to find a stall with gunpla and I fancy to challenge myself. What is the grade that you ned to build every little piece of the Gundam cause I want to try one of thoes.

1/144 HG (high grade) - About an hour or so a bit smidge smaller than your average figuarts.

1/100 MG (master grade)- Can take up 5-7 hours and is taller than a figuarts and has more detail and articulation

1/60 PG (perfect grade) - Can take up to a week and is a big gunpla kit.

This is based on other many experience gunpla builders and Youtube reviews. I myself has build 1/100 MG Gundam Unicorn in 3-4 hours so honestly it really varies between people.

Yea I have only build 2 1/144 grade and I fancy a challenge this time round. Due to if I find some thing.

Could always go for a 1/100 scale kit then.

I'd go with a Master Grade personally.

Perfect Grades are VERY expensive.

Aile Strike

Freedom

Justice

Destiny

Strike Freedom

Speaking out of personal experience, I've built the Aile Strike, Destiny, and Freedom.

Real Grades are some of my favrioute kits in the line, but if I were to choose, get the Aile Strike as that one is the less problematic of the three.

Destiny isn't bad, but he's got a lot of weight issues due to the big wing pack.

So I caught up on Gundam Reconguista in G. I will say that it has an interesting story, kind of along the lines of Seed. Two sides but which is the right one.

I also love the beam chains. I do have one complaint but it's also a thankful thing. The cockpit toilets. I finally have one of the questions I've always wanted answered. Bad thing about it is that they seem to be fixated on the fact that's it's in there. They've showed it three times in 2 episodes. lol.

I always thought Robot Damashiis looked like crap but that G-self looks gorgeous.

Dude, that's only the older Damashii Figures, the Wing ones, the God Gundam, & the upcoming Master Gundam look AMAZING. As does the G-Self Gundam *obvs gonna be a March pre-order for the G-Self*.

I prefer Gunpla, very rarely will I dive into Gundam action figures.

Personally, I think Gundam looses something when you take away the DIY aspect of the fandom.

Speaking of Gunpla, another solid episode of BF TRY this week, my desire to get Build Burnning is growing...

I agree. Once you fully embrace the building aspect of it its hard to look back.

But I guess models aren't for everyone, so high quality figures like those are a nice alternative.

Unless You're a fan of Aegis Gundam or ANY AC suit that isn't Wing or Wing Zero Gundam.:(
