Yeah I think there is going to be more explanations down the line. I read the last issue of New Avengers so I know that book dealt with why they happened. I´m sure SW will explain more how exactly they work.

Is anyone reading Silk? I heard it's getting the same amount of praise as much as Spider-Gwen.

So... Anyone TLDR the Secret War please? Basically, anyone important die/join the main universe (*coughMilescough*)/the crossover ultimately result in much?

Because despite having loved Marvel and its characters since childhood, actually collecting and reading comics is still a money sinkhole I can't bring myself to fall in.. Yet the crossovers always interest me.

Nope. Avoiding most of the stuff with Silk in it like the plague since I hated that character in Amazing Spider-Man.

But I heard from numerous people that the solo book handles her a lot better.

So far everyone died. All of reality is gone pretty much.

But in the second issue this week we will learn that there was a new universe created called Battleworld where all the differen realities form a new patchwork planet.

Let's wait and see.

I actually like it more than Spider-Gwen. It has a good sense of humor, some enjoyable action, and it's really just a lot of fun. Cindy is also far, far more likable here than she was in Spider-Verse.

Yes, the writing is very good. Incredibly realistic in its depiction of Pakistani household dynamics, but also really funny.

the art is alright, not my cup of tea though. I'll probably look into it but I don't know if I might buy it just yet.

So.... I read Ultimate Iron Man today....

I hate that version of Iron Man... The origin is all sorts of messed up, and the armor.... don't get me started on the armor.

In my opinion, Ultimate Iron Man seemed like a very bad fan-fiction.

well, this is weird, since I watched incincible Iron Man on hulu the other day, and I found it a pretty good re-imagining of the origin of Tony Stark to Iron Man.

also, I like that they get a lot of use out of the Mark 1. I love it when the underpowered stuff gets to be the one taking on the greater foes.

Ultimate Iron Man, the comic, has been retconned to have nothing to do with the origin of Ultimate Iron Man, the character.

Don't worry, Marvel didn't seem to like that version much either. They still like the armor though, while I am neutral on it as it is an alternate universe.

Ultimate Iron Man is a bizarre book, but I did always find it charming, it's a weird as heck story, but I found it enjoyable.

Also, yeah, it's completely non-canon.

I have a question about Marvel figures if that's okay in here. Where do you guys purchase the Marvel Legends figures? To be precise, where do people in the EU buy them?

I'm interested in picking a few up, but I'm not going to pay import prices for those, that's not worth it for me.

Not EU, but I get mine mostly from stores. Walmart, Toys 'R' Us, and Walgreens mostly. I'd assume if you have any of those stores over there you could find them there too. If not, try your country's Amazon, Ebay, or just toy retail sites.

There is a german online store selling them called Actionfiguren24.de. but they only sell the complete waves.

He wasn't exactly spectacular (heh) in Merlin, but then I guess no one was. I'm down to see how it turns out if he's cast, he's certainly fits the bill of what they're supposedly looking for...

I wasn't a big fan of him. I liked EG, but I just don't see him as Spider-Man. However, Marvel has yet to make a bad casting decision, so if they pick him, I'll keep my mind open.

Ugh. Enders game was bad, did not live up to the book at all. Hopefully the actor could be better as Spider man, and evolve with each film.

Funnily enough that carries on the tradition of Phase 2 MCU stuff featuring a scene of someone getting a hand severed in tribute to the Empire Strikes Back. Every single film in Phase 2 features a scene of this occurring and now so does AOS. It's weird that they even did it, but pretty cool none the less.
