I was stuck with inspiration last night and made Kamen Rider G-san (the toy designer of retail SO-DO). He can use any body that can fit the head and driver. Picked the Build Driver because he cranks out great toys. His weapon is the Meat Removal Cannon and should always be viewed from the hollowed out side.

Does anyone have a comparison of the Zenkaiger Yu-Do and the Zenkaiger Mini-Pla?

Thinking about picking up Yu-Do Zenkaiger to fit in with the Minipla Kikanoids

Don't have the Minipla, but they size well enough to the point that the blog showed that you can mix some the parts.

Yeah I figured they are about the same. I remember that blog post and thinking how silly Magine looked.

That gives us Yu-Do, Minipla, Change-Hero, and the Vinyl figures all at about the same size! I even saw that someone put the Zenkaiger Yu-Do open hands on the Change-Hero figure.

Yeah, I've seen people switch around the weapons to. For example Change Hero Zyuran doesn't come with a shield, but YU-DO made one.

I'm fairly surprised we don't have SO-DOs of the Megid generals or Dezast yet. Or do those come at a much later time during a line's lifespan?

They usually come later, yeah -- especially since Saber has constantly had a bunch of suits to catch up on. These are also often based on popular requests, which this time around have asked for things like King Arthur Robo and Ark-Zero-One.

I very much think Dezast will happen next wave, at least. They're slowly running out of suits they need to do!

Die has reminded me I'd like to see SO-DO or Shodo Kiva, partially so we can get Saga.

CHRONICLE Kiva would be super easy too, what with there only being 6 (main) in-series Rider suits and 2 movie suits! The main question is if they’d prioritise DoGaBaKi or Rey and Arc

I gotta assume any TV suit is going to take priority over movie suits. The few movie suits Chronicle have done have all been P-Bandai specialty releases. I can see a Wave 2 of Kiva being DoGaBaKi, Emperor, IXA, and Rising IXA.

Rey and Arc would probably be their own 2-pack... although now that SO-DO is doing more oversized releases, maybe they do Arc as his own big boy box?

I feel like Kiva is better suited for SHODO, which can provide better sculpting and paint.

Yeah SHODO VS has already seen remakes already, so its not out of question. Kabuto for example!

So in the latest Zenkaiger Minipla update, they announced a second YU-DO wave for the series -- and to start it off they teased Twokaiser!! (note the Cuttaner and Riki he's with are the Minipla versions). No idea when more details are coming but so far he looks great!

Blades has some pretty cool engineering into letting his mane look good while still allowing articulation, and Saber has the third variation of the Xross sword and an agnged sword holding hand

Also I don't know if anyone here cares, but they're bringing Kamen Rider Kids back again and making Saber and Zero-One, along with rereleasing the Heisei 20. Only one I have is Build, and from what I can tell he looks the same as the Zi-O release, but I may be wrong.

If the set is cheap enough, I might pick it up. G-San mentions there being 24 types, but I only count 22? Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but it seems like he specifically says 24 types and 24 to a case as separate things. Also!

There are indeed 24 figures in the Kamen Rider Kids set, if you look at the product page they are all listed with 23 and 24 marked as "???".

Considering it doesn't come out until October I'm guessing the two mystery ones are Revice.

So do you think I should buy these so-do figures out? I want em, but they're just a bit over what they'd be at retail. At the same time this may be the best price I find them for, for a while. Also at the same time I've been buying a lot of things lately.

For P-Ban stuff it's best that you act on them really early, or you risk paying a lot in the future. I think you should jump on them!

Also these resellers are crazy fast, I think the 2 sets were only mailed out today to Japanese buyers.

Apparently the rules of So-Do Chronicle have changed, and we're now getting 5 figures in a case. They're making Darkraider and Genocider, but we'll have to wait two weeks to see them.

Saber TV-Kun is releasing with, well, TV-Kun on September 30th! Not part of the main waves, but you probably already expected that.

Ryuki Wave 2 actually seems to be a big step up from Wave 1 even before counting the fifth figure; because all of them come with their main weapon in addition to their visors! Knight Survive also has an alternate open visor. Just super cool to see them do this!

Blank Ryuki is such a curveball but amazing all the same. Surprised they're doing Knight Survive so early and won't be double packed.

This also brings Saber's list of Riders to do very low!

Ryuki... it definitely looks like they're gonna be focusing on the TV stuff. So for the final wave I'm expecting Ryuki Survive, Odin, Imperer, Tiger and Alternative (with optional stickers for Zero). That would actually round out the TV stuff perfectly, leaving Femme, Ryuga and Verde (and Abyss, perhaps? Or Ouja Blank?) for a PB set!

I'm crossing my fingers all this ghost love will trigger a SO-DO Chronicle Ghost. Otherwise I could Kanon Specter, Pretty Den-o, Ichigo from that ghost film, Aqua, Posiden, and I don't know what else as like a SO-DO Extras wave.

Have we had a lance weapon in SO-DO before? There are some rules they have to follow for candy toys that may make Durendal very weird!

A few times, and they've only recently gotten good. We had Woz's spear thing as 2 pieces, rod form as a big long piece, the kurokage's lance which I think is 1 long piece you thread through the fist hole, the metal shaft whch I've forgotten how thar works, and the bugster lance which works like the kurokage spear.

How are the shoulder pads for SHO-DO holding up for you guys, after being stretched out for a long period of time? Specify the figure, if you'd like to chime in.

The ones on my Ex-Aid guys I got in April I think are fine, although the parts they're attached to tend to ride up when the arms are lifted.

It's probably SO-DO's biggest L yet, but it's understandable -- they underestimated just how long that thing was, so I guess it'll be coming later instead. Either way, full lineup time!

Ah yes I figured we were gonna get the short stick for Durendal (pun intended).

I love the full lineup! Many Kamen Rider Saber has been such a weird show. Sometimes it really doesn't feel like a Rider series.

I hope, in the end, they'll have everyone sit down at a long table for a nice supper.

Honestly, I'm okay with this. Durandal's trident chages shape a lot between modes. G-san talks about how he wasn't sure how the actual prop was going to look and had to watch the show to see. So he opted to make the trident later so it could be good.

I definitely think we'll get a weapon pack later.
