I like to think that Evol not only sucks at making coffee, but he sucks at naming in general.
Sento Kiryu is literally smooshing the kanji for 'Tank' and 'Rabbit' together for 'Sento' and then just adding the surname 'Kiryu' from the barber he was visiting that day. Mad Rogue? Well, dude is bat-themed kinda like Night Rogue, and he's obviously gone insane, so 'Mad Rogue' it is. I wouldn't be surprised if he named his own Driver. 'Uh, I'll be the main user, so this should obviously be called Evol Driver'. It's obviously not canon, but I would like to think this might be the case behind Evol's naming schemes. |
Wonder if the next rider after Gavv is will JP beetle like Kabuto & Stronger?
Just question how for such a series to exist after Gavv? |

In a Reiwa anniversary season, what if there are new monsters who'd want revenge on all the riders for those many years?
I notice a lack of monsters lately from Megid, Magia, Raiders & Smash. |

Okay I'm thinking of what the next three riders after Gavv will be like! As well as what vibes!
|
I don't think they're basing future seasons on previous seasons. There are superficial similarities, but those are just recurring tropes within the whole franchise. Of course, humans are really good at reinforcing what they already believe, so if someone starts with the assumption that there's a pattern they'll see even random coincidences as evidence.
Watch, I'll "prove" that the Reiwa riders are based on Sentai seasons after the handoff tradition started: Zero-One & Dekaranger - both have a future setting where nonhumans live peacefully with humans, and the monsters are nonhumans that go rogue. Saber & Magiranger - both have magical and elemental motifs with the main hero being fire, and both feature more loose fabric on the suits than normal (the Saber riders' coattails and the Magirangers' capes). Revice & Boukenger - both make visual homages to past seasons and have multiple villain groups, at least one of which is a secret society using ancient powers. Geats & Gekiranger - both use animal motifs for the heroes, and both take inspiration from sports, with the DGP being based on e-sports (and Geats' helmet resembling a bike helmet) and the Gekirangers' gear being aesthetically based on sporting equipment. Gotchard & Go-Onger - both have the heroes getting their powers thanks to nonhuman partners and combine two motifs into one, with Steamhopper even being a combination of animal and vehicle exactly like the Engines. Gavv & Shinkenger - both have family and character growth as important themes, and both have villains who slip into the human world through hidden passages to gather emotions (happiness for the Granutes and suffering for the Gedoshu), and who often but not always use aquatic motifs in their aesthetics. Based on this "theory" (which again I just made up!), the season after Gavv will have similarities to Goseiger, perhaps with the rider having holy powers or the true villain using multiple groups as puppets. |
Actually, the Reiwa riders are based on Heisei riders but going backwards:
Zero-One & Zi-Oh - very similar names, futuristic technology, the main rider becomes a dark rider near the end. Saber & Build - combining multiple motifs into a single form, have large handles on the side of the driver. Revice & Ex-Aid - PINK! Geats & Ghost - eye-themed villains and references to past time periods. Gotchard & Drive - a non-humanoid sidekick who helps the main rider transform, a white second rider whose father is important to the plot, and a purple third rider with a vehicle motif. Gavv & Gaim - foods (especially sweet foods) as the main motif, a corporation as the main villains, and monsters coming from another world. So, what connections do you think the next season will have to Wizard? Probably not rings, since it'll be airing at the same time as Gozyuger. |
(To be clear, I actually find it fun looking for patterns and similarities like this, I just think it's silly to assume anyone at Toei is doing them on purpose or that they predict future seasons in any way)
|
So I just found out that Toei is doing a Lachesis special for the online fanclub, which apparently features all three Abyssalis Sisters, Geryon, and Ultraman Geed. I'm all-in on this.

I thought that Kitaoka was actually lucky not to win Rider Fight. He has cancer, but his wish is not for a cure, but for immortality. Which makes sense, since the fear of imminent death torments even completely healthy people. But in his case, it’s not exactly the best option. Recalling the myth of Eos and Tithon (who was turned into a cicada, funny) and other similar stories, Kitaoka, if he won, would gain defective immortality, namely eternal suffering from the disease. Well, or until a cure is invented in the future, but most likely his case would be too unique and advanced for that.

So Toei has decided to bless us with a sequel to what I consider my favorite TTFC project they've ever done.
http://pbs.twimg.com/media/GmHyTuDbc...jpg&name=large They announced it yesterday with a bts video, so no official trailer yet, but I can only imagine they're hiding some good stuff. People have already caught some interesting things in it too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7j7gFRnqkM |

I'm also happy to report that this video continues my streak of absolutely failing to recognize/remember Tsukuyomi. Saw the line-up from the first movie and immediately went "Who the fuck is that between Sawa and Reika? Is that Yua?" |

What snack would be fitting for Gavv?s female rider?
|
We have NO IDEA even *IF* a female Rider will represent. Why do you ALWAYS have to assume???? Can’t this WAIT until we KNOW if a Woman Rider is going to be in the show. Ugh speculation on something that hasn’t happened yet is just reaching. Gavv doesn’t “need” a Woman Rider to be complete, no more the Precure needs a Male for anything.

I just wanted to quickly check out some Ryuki and now I'm re-watching the entire thing. I got hooked so quickly, it seems impossible to not fall for this show all over again, it really is one of the best out there.
It's kind of fun to return to this show now that more than 10 years have passed after watching it for the first time, I can't help but enjoy it even more now. One moment of Ruyki stuck with me for the all these years and I was curious if it would still hold up, and I just got to episode 19 and saw it again. First all, holy hell is Asakura terrifying AF. I remember the worst of him, but even at his introduction he is so brutal and scary. It's funny how nowadays I'm like "How does Toei plan to sell merchandise of the pudding Rider given that he abducted people" and then there's Ruyki being like "Here's a purple snake man who beats people to death and points a gun at children, buy his funny Jafar-ass toy staff that makes noises when you put cards in it!", WTF :lol It's also quite interesting to see Takashi Hagino's performance again after having seen Changerion. It's so awesome how he can pull off both of these rolls so well, even though they are so immensely different characters. But back to the moment I was waiting for: It's when Asakura takes the patrons of a restaurant hostage, including a little girl, and Shinji grabs a small stuffed toy to tell her everything's going to be OK. For some reason this perfectly encapsulates Shinji's character to a tee for me, the wholesome goofy guy who has unbelievable strength and courage when it comes to helping others. I will never stop loving Kamen Rider for shows like these, Ruyki will always be awesome. https://i.imgur.com/GVoFXiF.jpeg Also this shot at the end of the same episode is so epic, like I need this framed up on a wall in my house! https://i.imgur.com/uLwGBAW.jpeg |

New returning guest for Majade Girls Remix. Kanon Miyahara is returning, but not as Clotho from Gotchard, but instead as Nozomi from Amazons

Thanks to the promo photo they used for the thumbnail we get to see that Sawa just has the Crocodile Crack Fullbottle on her this time. It was a blink and you miss it with the first teaser, but you could see her holding onto it when she was fighting.
She'll probably pull a Banjo and just use it to enhance her punches. But it'd be funny if she did end up transforming into Rogue. It's not like Gentoku doesn't have another belt and fullbottle anyway... |

Teaser with new familiar faces and plot details:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjcbkbI5jpg As we can see, in addition to the previously mentioned heroines, Sachika, Sofia, and Yoko/Kamen Rider Marika will also appear. The latter seems to have a significant role in the plot. I assume that this is a belated celebration of Gaim's 10th anniversary. |
Sophia’s gonna need a new upgrade as Calibur
Plus imagine Sachika & Rakia as a couple! |
Who’s Rakia?

Double could sure use some new memories! Which for Shotaro & Philip to take to complete the alphabet?
Shotaro:
Philp/Raito:
From this list of Gaia Memories to make new forms:
Excluding Accel, Skull, Eternal & Queen. Queen could sure use a female rider. |
It's probably obvious to many people at first, but OOO's Greeds seems to be based on Super Sentai. Judge for yourself: there are initially five of them, each with an assigned color and animal type. The sixth one appears later and is noticeably different from the others, and Red has a special role in the show.

I'm wondering on what Kamen Rider Zeztz's vibes will be like?
Based on the leaks so far, will it be like 555/Faiz? Blade? Hibiki? Kabuto? W/Double? OOO? Drive? Ex-Aid? As it follows the 7th rider like Stronger from Showa & Kabuto of Heisei. |
