I actually ended up training 2 Dusclops and a Dusknoir just because of that one Duskull I couldn't catch :lol

That...that really sucks. I've encountered a lot of shiny Pokémon-
FireRed- technically, it was on my friends game, but he found a Geodude. Traded, and now he's a Golem
Poliwhirl/Surskit- found them in the same day in my Japanese Diamond, now they are a Politoed and Masquerain
Riolu/Lucario "Lucy 1/Lucy 2"- Lucy "1" is the mother of the current Lucy, hatched in HeartGold, bred, then unfortunately deleted. One of her eggs, which was traded to my Platinum, was traded back into HeartGold and hatched into Lucy "2" Lucy currently resides in Black 2
Gyarados- in my English diamond. Random fishing :lol
Pikachu- in HeartGold, now in Black 2
Pichu- promotional one

I've only come across a small amount of random shinies. 3 I think. Weedle back in Gold version, Buizel, and Golbat. The other shinies I have are trades, poké radar chaining, and RNG breeding.

Only shiny I've ever encountered that I DIDN'T capture was in my own FireRed. Shiny Magikarp in the Safari Zone. That freaking ran after I threw bait at it -___-
