SIC hasn't been doing as many secondary Riders lately. I suspect it's partially because the main Riders have had more forms since W and partially because they were focusing on the new Showa figures.

Actually it is the decision of the one who is in charge of the line, who wanted more main riders instead of secondaries (the same guy who started the Kuuga -> Gouram, Kabuto -> Zector thing).
The guy also has another request for the sculptors to make full use all the gimmicks. This is why there are so many power unleash forms for OOO, and beast forms for Wizard.
Gojima mentioned about the guy wanted Fourze's attachments to be able to combine into a shuttle or a tool when unused. That is one of the things that the design team are unable to achieve at this point (or the price will jack up to an unreasonable number).
Birth's CLAWs is pretty much the test to see if there is any pressure when the price range gets close to 10k.

This thread was named SIC & Sublines with the express purpose of grouping similar lines into this discussion. Kiwami Tamashii, Takumi Damashii of course fall under that directly. But Makai Kado & Shougeki Kado likewise share many of the same elements as the SIC line including design teams & scale. Considering SIC and MK consist of only a handful of releases annually anyway, and aesthetically they more than sync up, I see no reason why we can't have these discussions together.
