So not only is Revice the first Kamen Rider series to really give an fxf ship the same kind of bating it often does for mxm ships, but there’s implication they might actually do something with it? Jesus Christ, I almost want to cry.
As a lesbian who loves Kamen Rider, even just this makes me indescribably happy.

His devotion to Aguilera was always (imo) very one-sided, so to me I don?t see how this is any big shake up in their dynamic. It?s a change in Aguilera?s relationship with Sakura and vice versa, but Julio isn?t really a factor.

Which "straight relationship" would Sakura need to be involved in? Her parents are already married, and all of her siblings are busy trying to save the world alongside her.

I think he?s trying to argue that Aguilera and Tamaki have been set up since day one, and that Sakura is interfering in the development of that straight relationship?despite the fact that Tamaki?s devotion has always been incredibly one-sided, whereas the rivalry and feelings between Aguilera and Sakura has always been mutual. IE, he, and many others it seems, assumed that Tamaki and Aguilera was intended to be this ?long form straight romance, with Aguilera falling for him at the end? (which, you know, fair, that is a pretty common trope), and are unwilling to acknowledge even the possibility that Tamaki was always intended to be on the outside, because Sakura and Aguilera were intended to have a lesbian relationship from the beginning.

As for Tamaki?s feelings and whether they matter?they don?t matter as much as Sakura?s, no. Not because he?s a man and Sakura?s a woman, but because Sakura is one of our main characters and Tamaki?isn?t. I get that people are upset about that - I certainly do think his character has a lot more potential than he?s being written with?but the same can be said of Gentoku or Kazumi from Build, both of whom devolved into gag characters for a lot of the show.

There?s also the fact, of course, that Tamaki could develop importance that is unrelated to Aguilera, and he could learn to get over her, and become more self-motivated?but then the shippers will argue that Sakura and Aguilera?s stories don?t have to be intertwined either (even though theirs are mutually, whereas Tamaki?s is decidedly one-sided, and always has been). I don?t want to pin this on homophobia and be done with it, because ship wars do be like that, but I?m still disheartened that, in 2022, there aren?t more people excited by what this means in the grand scheme of things. There have been dozens of straight relationships in Kamen Rider, but this is the very first one that even might be canonically gay. There have been several in the past where the narrative is romantic, where the story stops short of saying anything either way, where, if one party was a woman, it?d be considered ?basically canon? - but, because they?re both men, the prospect that it was meant to be read any other way than just ?bros saving the world? is laughed at, and derided.
Nevertheless, I?ve always kind of expected them to take this step?I just thought it would be between two men, and probably two auxiliary riders that they can just ignore in marketing if it proves super unpopular. I certainly never expected it to be between one of our original central antagonists and the third rider, and certainly not between two women. As I?ve said before, as a lesbian, it makes me indescribably happy that, even if nothing concrete happens in the show - even if this level of chemistry between Sakura and Aguilera is maintained, without them saying anything explicit, or without Aguilera doing a 180 on her feelings for Tamaki?they still made that instagram post saying ?love is love? and ?happy pride?. The intent for you to be able read the two of them as lesbians is there, and I?m sure there is at least one little girl watching Kamen Rider in Japan who sees Aguilera and Sakura and realises who she is, and that it?s okay.

I know it's not a main series and that it was a very very short scene without a big impact, but you're exactly describing something that happened in Rider Time : Ryuki

More or less. Not exactly day one, but I recall it was definitely pretty early in the show that the Gif/Aguilera/Julio triangle was implied. However, due to Julio's lack of confidence, he never contested Gif/Aguilera and was willing to support it as long as it's what Aguilera wanted. I'm sure there's a lot of people watching this show for escapism, who can relate to Julio's problem and want him to succeed. Putting him in another position where he has to be second to someone else for Aguilera's attention does nothing for his character or his (probably dwindling) fans, unless he can actually find another love interest. So far, the show doesn't seem inclined to give him any other options, since as you say, he has the misfortune of being a side character. But even Kazumin succeeded in getting the girl and had a very memorable tragic fight scene in the final arc, so it's still possible for writers to treat side characters with more respect than Julio has gotten.

I mean, yeah, if some little girl gets inspired to come out or something, then there's no way I could say that this is an objectively bad thing. But more importantly than canonical slash (including femslash), I think writers should focus on writing good slash. Like I'm pretty sure I heard that Yui's introduction in Cross-Z New World was an executive decision to de-canonize Sento/Ryuuga. But I don't think that makes Sento/Ryuuga any less of an awesome ship. The joke's on the executive, whose meddling made a lot of people rightfully ticked off. The better the quality of canonical slash, the better the chance that people will accept it.

Is there any chance for Aguilera to become a rider after? If so, either a queen bee or a rattlesnake.

The final battle between Aguilera & Jeanne will decide. That goes for if Revice will use his power to save her too.

We don't usually get couples in Kamen Rider.
The one from Drive was one of the few where feelings were actually reciprocated.
This is why I don't think Sakura and Aguilera is a thing. It would be a very surprising leap where the Kamen Rider series is usually super tame.
With Riders it's usually not shoved into your face.

As for Tamaki, he is/was devoted to Aguilera and you see both characters caring for each other.
I mean, I thought we were going with that particular trope where each characters are in love with eachother but decide to be honest about it around the last 2 episodes of the series.

Sakura & Aguilera definitely need to work things out. Tamaki is just a servant & bodyguard of Aguilera's anyway.

I really dislike Over Demons's design because the design is very similar to Vail...
Even Over Demons have same colour with Vail.

It seems like lately they usually bring out the Final Form for whoever the perceived Big Bad of the show is at the time (Ark, Solomon) so I guess it depends on how they balance out Giff, Akaishi or I guess Vail now.

I've said this elsewhere before but this is such a dad joke and I love it.

It is literally (Vail)Over Demons and that's incredible, totally worth it.

Lazy? A bit. But it's not the worst suit I've ever seen tbh. Makes me think this is a temporary thing.

That being said I'd love to see an Under Vail that uses the Demons upper armor on the Vail Suit.

Is this meant to be a new Rider or a Vail upgrade?

The Over Demons's colour combinations between legs and chest armor doesn't looks good in my opinion.

I also dislike Revice Thundergale colour combinations.

Looks like after Thunder Gale they were blinded by its colors so much they forgot what color coordination means!

.... Eh. Not the worst thing I've seen. Wish there was a bigger substantial change, like instead of just reusing the right shoulder armor and cape from Vail that he got completely new armor on that side. Hell, wish that they could've at least added some more new bits to the shoulder armor as well, the horn on Vail's really helped break up the silhouette, but without it, something just feels missing. Like make that new piece that has the beetle eye extend a liiiiiittle more over the shoulder, make it like, point out a bit more.

I don't necessarily think the colors clash too badly, since Demons Spider Genome already incorporated silver into the color palette, but Over Demons could've used a bit more color for the Vail parts to make it match the Demons undersuit.

It's got a cool helmet at the very least. Wish the eyes were blue, but eh.

Honestly really makes me hope that we'll get an actual new final form suit for Revi/Vice/Revice, since the changes here are so minimal.

But jokes aside, I am a little disappointed with this, partly for the colors, but mainly for Demons' suit. "How could you do this to Demons!"

All in all, it's underwhelming. Great joke, but not so great form.

This reminds me of Live, how new pieces were just added onto an already existing suit despite not going together.
If the Demons suit was made black and the stag parts were symmetrical, then perhaps.

The poor suit is desperately trying to be Evolt Black-Hole and I'm just not buying it.

That's even worse. Because there are now two palette's of silver around the suit. Vail's warmer silver and Demons' cooler silver that isn't even silver and just leans more into gray.

Like I get why people don't like it (trust me, I'm also sort of underwhelmed by it), but it's not like, nearly as bad as it's being made out to be, to be honest.
