I don't know what to tell you. I could make the same comments of "where is the SHF Standard Build" since that one comes with even less than Saber and with a dull red/blue metallic paint. Never seen much ppl talk about that. Or how ZI-O's pink isn't as bright and neon pink as the actual show suit or its P-Bandai counterpart and again has pretty much nothing as well.

I guess all I can answer is: there is no SHF standard Saber. I can say it's Dragonic Knight, but few would be convinced otherwise since it's P-Bandai and isn't the base form.

It sucks that these are the mishaps plaguing a main rider's release, and we've seen that Tamashii Nations know this, too. Are they gonna do anything about it? Probably, probably not. In a perfect world, I wish they'd go back to having the main rider just be 40-50$ like the rest and keep its quality up par with a standard release.

It is frustrating that Build doesn't come with accessories (and he should), but at least what he does have is done well rather than having glaring flaws all over the figure like the main riders that came after him. It's just a shame that this line isn't doing anything to counteract its flaws and is instead content to just keep diving down into mediocracy.

It's pretty far from that, in all honesty. Quite a bit of the red on the arm doesn't match up and looks a lot darker than it should; and what articulation is there is heavily hindered and in service of a pretty meh product. It's higher quality than a model kit, sure, but not in any way that actually matters. At least a kit would come with stickers for the driver and not skimp out on accessories.

Maybe Bandai should improve RKF so it can serve as the "main line" while SHF stays as an expensive collector line, eliminating the need for barebones entry-priced releases.

I mean, that's pretty much what they've been doing with the RKF Saber line. RKF is pretty fucking fantastic for its price point(especially the Saber releases) - I genuinely don't see how they could really improve it much further. We have torso rotations for figures that hover between 8USD to 15USD(only time it's higher than that is for big releases). Gimmick/budget line figures in the past hovered around 30USD AT LEAST and never had that(in fact, most of these lines sacrificed articulation for playability).

I think RKF will stick to its motto, "it's cheap and it moves", until the very end.

The crazy part is that RKFs to this day are DIRT cheap, to the point that Bandai is probably barely breaking even by manufacturing and selling these figures. I've never seen any other product line that is literally always on sale - even if you pre-order it. I cannot find a single website or retailer where you can actually buy these figures at full price.

I want something closer to Hasbro's 6-inch stuff in terms of quality and articulation. But like you say, sales probably aren't strong enough to justify it. Anyway, back to SHFs.

I strongly feel the same way. Something like Lightning Collection would blow my mind. Our next Rider will be the 50th anniversary series Rider, so that might egg Bandai on to start a completely new line of action figures. They've said some pretty concerning things about whether or not RKF will continue after Saber, which could lead to a new line, as well.

I still have a huge collection of 6-inch gimmick figures from past Kamen Rider series and at the end of the day, I still appreciate the quality. They were not cheap(even for their time), but they were cheaper than SH Figuarts and it was just nice to have an alternative that was close to 1/12 scale.

Honestly, no. I'm far more content what SHF has to offer than Hasbro. I've seen way too many and much more unforgivable mishaps (unpainted morphers, missing paint, inaccurate colors, wonky proportions fight me). I'm also not a huge fan of their gummy plastic. It's supposed to encourage play with it, I guess, but it doesn't mean I completely vibe with it. "But it's 25$", yeah, and entry Rider SHFs are 30$, maybe 28$ depending where you live.

That's hilarious; you just described a good amount of Figuarts(Kamen Rider, especially), which is less forgivable, given that they're sold at much higher prices. If the top of the line 1/12 scale figures can't get everything perfect, there's no way in fuck that the budget lines are pulling it off, either. Compromise is everywhere.

And how many Rider SHFs nowadays are sold at that price?

I'd rather pay $25 each to pick up as many Riders as I wanted from a series, than 1 main character per year.

It's pointless to compare the two lines, anyways. Power Rangers fans don't have a lot of other options, and neither do Kamen Rider fans. It's not like a Lightning Collection-esque line for Kamen Rider would have any impact on SHF Kamen Rider releases.

Entry Rider SHFs are 30$ if you have a fast enough internet connection and good enough luck and the free time to get in on the 1-minute pre-order window in the early hours, otherwise it's about 50$ on mandarake

Since my Seihou Tatoba's arms broke I've been looking for a Seihou Ratoratah (deciding to go for that instead of directly getting a Tatoba replacement for a lot of reasons), and last night I got super super lucky and found a pre-owned one on AmiAmi for a great price; just got it confirmed today and paid for. And following that I'm surprised how excited I am for it! Ratoratah isn't even a form I like a lot and I'm still hyped to have it in my hands

Something about the Latoratah figure no one mentions is that it comes with a second Medajalibur. So ya know, you can have Eiji dual wield. Not that I've ever done that!

I just found that out today and it's great! I assume it's because he notably uses it in this form while riding on the Toridevendor? I also adore the small touch that the alternate 'medals loaded' piece isn't just the same as Tatoba's; they changed the cell medals to the lion, tora and cheetah ones! Very cute.

It's a big part of why I'm getting Ratoratah over another Tatoba -- it's like a big accessory pack for Tatoba like this! I get extra combo change parts, evil Taka head, a pair of fingergun hands, an extra sword... just really increases what I can do with Tatoba!

Yeah, and like I said it's not an easy one to replicate... but I really don't think SHF have got it down here. In that new picture it looks very awkward.

I'm surprisingly okay with having the swords non-silver. I mean, yeah it sucks because people are paying premium price for Espada and everything but my biggest gripe with Saber's grey plastic sword was that it would look out of place with Blades' and Espada's silver-painted swords.

But if all swords are gonna be grey I'm surprisingly indifferent.

Would I rather have it painted? Of course.

But if it means literally any rider using the base Saber suit and sword design will have a painted sword while Saber doesn't, I'd rather take consistency and just have them all be cast in silver instead.

This is why I plan to buy secondhand after waiting for like 5 years.

Do you think any of the Saber figures will skyrocket in the aftermarket like Horobi and Valkyrie? I honestly feel like this wave will go down like Zi-O: Every figure is pretty available and won't break the bank. Probably won't even have to wait that long, unless Espada or Calibur have like, amazing arcs in the remainder of the series that shoots up their popularity.

Considering Saber is already 3300 Yen on Mandarake, yeah, this is looking like a cheap-on-the-aftermarket line.

I'm expecting at least one of the Calibur forms, Slash (considering he's a lot of people's favorites), and one of the super forms of Saber to stay a bit higher on the aftermarket price or its base price, but certainly not as egregious as, say, Horobi or Cross-Z.

The rest are going to be super easy to find later on. Especially the retail ones, Espada, Buster, Kenzan, Dragonic, King Lion, when they all get their SHFs.

Wish I had the luxury of just waiting it out for them, but I'd really just be paying the same price to import them here regardless of the aftermarket.

Yeah I don't see most of the Saber releases being like...Ghost or Zi-O simple to get since they'll still be TWEs, but they won't break the 200s like some Zero One releases unless the designs are really sought-after or the character's extremely popular.

Have a question about Zenmarket. How long does it take for a figuart to arrive at there warehouse a week or more? Second how many days does it take for them to ship the figuart after it gets to the warehouse just want to know how much time this takes.

Is it a p-bandai figuart or a yahoo auction figuart? I think it usually takes around a week-ish.

And it take anywhere from 1 to 5 days for boxes to get packed and shipped depending on size and amount of items.

I think's that more to the yahoo auction seller than Zenmarket if anything. Maybe try contacting the seller or Zenmarket on what's the hold up if you haven't yet.

The actor describes that he collects figures of the characters he played so he would buy an SHF Tartarus if Tamashii would make it, and he hopes fans would buy it if it would be made. So rather vague. At the same time, why bother with an interview and put Tartarus on their frontpage if there's no plans to make a figure of him?

Maybe we'll get one for the next season of Ultra Galaxy Fight since the Absolutians / "The Kingdom" are the main bad guys? I hope so, I would love to have a Figuart of Tartarus myself. But Ribut and Grigio aren't even up for pre-order yet...
