Yep I have all those Desktop Heroes and love them! This is why I collect Converge figures, they are as close as we get to SD figures ​And also keychains. Keychains always do the SD look.

Man, in my opinion, none have topped Dragonic Knight yet so far.

I mean, I didn't really mind the grey blades but the silver blade definitely makes everything better. Hoping they do this for Primitive and Elemental Dragon as well.

Part of me thinks Primitive Dragon will be the Event Exclusive this year and Elemental Primitive will be the regular/PBandai release just like Build Hazard was an event exclusive.

Personally I'm ok if Bandai skip Elemental Dragon and surprise us with whatever Saber's final form will be.

As for Decade 21 being a possibility....after watching him in the special and seeing how easily he was beaten by Ohma Zi-O highlights an issue I have with Kamen Rider as of late with too many forms being made that hold no true value or purpose.

No way in hell they're gonna skip Elemental Primitiev and also make it a regular release. But Primitive Dragon does have high chances of being an event exclusive as it's a transitionary form like Shining Hopper and Build Hazard.

Dragonic Knight really is tempting me so hard. It's already become one of my favourite Rider designs ever and SHF have actually put in the effort here to do it justice. Now I just need to see if that sword is actually silver...

Oh! Good. I hadn't seen it specifically pointed out like the Ridebook tamograph, so I was starting to suspect otherwise. If they're specifically pointing it out I don't have much worry, then.

I kind of forgot but the reveal stream next Friday might be more important than I assumed. Because the Saturday after is the true 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider, it’s the day the very first episode aired in 1971. It would be way too lame if all we get to see is like one Kamen Rider Saber-related Web-Exclusive.

Yeah I know they aren't going to skip Elemental Primitive I was just saying I want some final form figuarts love lol...that's been absent and dragged out for too long. Like others I too love Dragonic Knight and the figuarts and would be ok with having base Saber, Dragonic, Primitive and whatever the final form is to represent my Saber figuarts.

Too many forms and too much gaps in confirmation and release date....the fact we're only at Zero-One's super form for release in April/May is getting tiresome for me in hopes of seeing the remaining forms confirmed and released.

I'm hoping with next week's news they confirm Rampage Vulcan since we know he's probably getting another form in the next V-Cinema...

Considering Build's popularity and the pamphlet that had all of Build's SHF forms plus one teasing a new form, no doubt we'd see Genius sometime soon.

Us just into Metal Cluster next month isn't off-schedule. But I doubt we'd see Zero Two anytime soon or even next year. I'd love Rampage Vulcan to get teased or announced, too. It's the form I'd want for Vulcan in my shelf, lol.

Most likely, however, we'd see releases for Eden, Ark-Zero and Ikazuchi before getting to the main and secondary's forms. We've already tackled a fair amount of the Zero-One suits.

I'm actually interested in how they'd do Zero-Two for Figuarts.

Would it be a single release? Would they pull an MMPR and make a second female version alongside it to represent Izu?

What are the differences between the Zero-Two suits for Izu? I haven't seen the movie.

You'll most likely just get SHF Zero-Two and it'll come with hands to have the suit do Izu's pose. I've joked around that they'd do a "Ver. RealxTime" in the far future, with the only difference being a shrunken torso, but it'd be weird to release a figure just for only that difference alone.

Izu's Zero Two isn't really any different. It's just the suit being worn by a different, shorter actor.

Then again... The Realizing Hopper SHF exists so...

I just miss the days when figuarts of new rider forms were confirmed around the same time it debuted in-show or at least a month or two within. I'm just saying I don't understand or like how they're dragging releases along.

Kamen Rider Build only needs Build Genius now to complete that series, Kamen Rider ZI-O needs Grand Zi-O, Tsukyomi, and Geiz Majesty...although the latter two are questionable. We already know what Zero-One needs but I would at least like to see them finish off the remaining Heisei series' this year or at least confirmation

The market has evolved is the answer if I had to guess. Releasing these figures has gotten more expensive, both for them and for us, so you can’t crank out a Rider figure every month anymore. Plus, they have much, much more licenses nowadays and a bigger audience, you need to cover these bases as much as possible if you want to make a profit.

Is that an explanation for how we still don’t have Build Genius? No. But it would explain why ongoing shows can’t be covered like they used to.

I do think it sucks though; Saber has some cool designs like Buster, Sabela or the new trident-dude, but good luck ever getting those. I feel like they'll never happen.

Another thing that I have noticed, them dragging their feet makes me less interested in their releases. They showed Dark Kiva in like what, October 2019? It will be up for pre-order this week, but after waiting nearly 2 years I'm like... I don’t want it anymore. Don’t care enough. I would’ve ordered it immediately back in the day but after waiting for so long I had enough time to decide that I don’t need it.

I mean, you raise some very fair points. Most of us have the kid in ourselves that want the cool thing we just saw on TV as soon as possible. It only makes sense you wouldn't want to wait long after a new Rider, powerup, weapon, or whatever makes its debut to have it represented on your desk. It just makes sense.

It's a shame that Figuarts just can't do that anymore. On the bright side, it seems that whereever Figuarts falls short, alternatives have been looking better and better. RKF if you want cheaper but still articulated, SO-DO if you want suits that Figuarts can't even fathom to cover, and SHF Upgrade nowadays seems to have something for most releases.

Honestly, I cannot be bothered to wait for releases anymore. I'd rather have the newest, coolest thing before I burn myself out and lose interest in it. My most anticipated SH Figuarts ever was Kamen Rider Chaser. I'll never forget how fucking miserable the wait was. He debuted in April 2015 and the SH Figuarts release was January 2016. I don't want to go through anything like that anymore. Like, can you imagine being the world's biggest Build Genius fan? 2 and a half shows have ended since it debuted.

I mean, I'm in the camp of being completely fine of the figures taking a while to release. So long as they actually do. SHF's not the worst figure line to have wonky schedules, Goodsmile stuff tend to take a year. It just means I got that extra bit of time to appreciate what I have for now and make it even more exciting when it does show up on my door step.

If I get the figure and my interest actually disappeared, then that's kind of my fault for buying something based only in my initial excitement.

Eh. As much as I actually wanted SHFs of Shinobi and Quiz, I never really found them as important beyond being Woz's forms.

SHF has seen a noticeable uptick of what they cover in the 01 line, seeing as we got both Naki and the two movie-exclusive suits (001 and Ichigata), which hasn't really happened in a while. Heck, around the same time we also saw Zi-O Ohma and Cross-ZBuild become a thing. I'm preeeetty confident that we'll see SHF do main riders.

I'm sure Buster and Slash for sure are going to happen given their prominence in the story. Kenzan as well despite being less involved merely due to him debuting earlier on in the show. Saikou will definitely be made as he's a Rider that debuted around New Years (so far those always get made, i.e. Woz, Thouser, etc). Sabela and Durandal, I wouldn't exactly get my hopes up, let alone Falchion (although who knows? They've been throwing some oddball releases lately).

My main concern would be either snagging Primitive Dragon/Elemental Primitive Dragon or just getting Saber, Blades, Espada and Calibur in the future so I'm not too concerned. There's always SO-DO but for candy toys they sure are pricey on the aftermarket.

I can expect Primitive Elemental to not be fairly hard to get. Much like ZI-O Trinity. Expect that form to probably be around April 2022.

Primtive Dragon, however.... Yeah that suit's most likely the Tamashii Nations exclusive much like Hazard and Shining. They are transitionary forms after all.

Saber should show up next week for me, Blades will be for a while, and I already have Dragonic in pre-order. Initially, I thought I'd just grab only three, but I might push it a bit to 5. With Saikou and Jaou. Sabela maybe, but only when she happens at all.

Yes, it seems after the Kamen Rider Gaim line is when figuarts started to drag out releases and confirm stuff. Luckily I wasn't too much into Rider figuarts at the time or else I prob would have been part of the group anxiously wondering and waiting for Type Trideron to get confirmed and then when he did still had to wait 6-7 more months for release.

While price has gone up and engineering has evolved too which is possibly why we're seeing stuff dragged out...some stuff I scratch my head at. I don't know how their planning or release schedule goes in terms of who they decide to give the go but as pointed out before why did Dark Kiva spend so much time in "Prototype Prison" lol before being randomly and fortunately confirmed?

As I type I'm gonna be all over the place but I know Bandai is trying to keep costs down for regular releases but would you all had like to see a limited 3pk of Saber, Blades, and Esparda like they did for Ex-Aid? I don't know how well that did at the time. Also, I feel bad for the Saber line because it kinda reminds me of Kamen Rider Gaim with multiple riders early on and Bandai did a good job covering all of those riders

I am starting to look in other lines like Sodo, Shodo, and RKF even though those are a bit pricey too for candy toys but they are cheaper for collecting multiple rider designs and characters. I gave up trying to have all 20 Heisei riders as figuarts...

Yeah SHF are really intended for the older collectors. They aren't really figures that should be handled by the target demographic of Kamen Rider. The DX narikiri toys on the other hand, more or less keep pace with the show and character reveals.

This also partly explains why there are so many P-Bandai or exclusive SHF, it's just too difficult to determine how something will sell. Valkyrie probably caught Bandai off guard with her popularity/demand, but it was always safer for them to make it an exclusive and sell out rather than over-print and overstock.

And like others have mentioned, the SODO and RKF lines easily meet the demand for figures. There's an entire division at Bandai dedicated to "lifestyle" goods which are things like character toothbrushes and bath bombs. I hate how difficult it can be to find certain SHF, but presales are a safe way to gauge interest while minimizing production risks in all but the most safe releases (ie: main riders). The real problem with the model is scalpers and re-sellers, but that is a larger issue with commercial goods as a whole.

Can't believe how low Kamen Rider is ranked as a franchise even though it's still in the billion-dollar category and yes as a person who learned about and got into Japanese merchandise because of Figuarts in which I mainly bought Super Sentai and bought a few Dragon Ball here and there and have now switched over to mainly owning a lot of Kamen Rider it's been hard to look at other lines stated above when I'm used to Figuarts being my go-to definitive representation of a character in figure form.

But costs and realizing financially it's not worth trying to own almost every figure not that I try to but there are so many beautiful suit designs and cool characters that I try to be selective lately with who I buy.

I'd honestly rather get Figuarts in a slow trickle than as they appear in-context.

Do you know the amount of money one would be blowing at a time if they came out that fast? Especially for Rider entries with a large number of characters like Saber.

Sidenote has anyone noticed the price of SHF Blades is cheaper than Saber? Did Japan do a price adjust or are just choosing to sell it cheaper because of the issue with the swords?
