And the Zanvat Sword used by King is different than Emperor's, it has no bat to slide up and down.

Don't be too excited about the stream tomorrow by the way, seems like there will be only a single reveal. Their most recent tweet regarding the matter reads that the "fourth" reveal of this week will happen there, which makes me think it's only one.

Or at least one that guess up for order and a few teasers. But after that tweet I'm definitely lowering my expectations.

The 1st Dark Kiva, King, used the Zanvant sword...it's been a min since I watched Kiva but I don't think he ever used it while as Dark Kiva...but when Taiga became Dark Kiva he did use the Jacorder in battle so I'm looking at this Seihou of Dark Kiva as the Otoya version lol since it includes neither of those weapons

I haven't seen Kiva in like a year, but if my memory serves me...

King carried the Zanvat Sword for a bit, threatened Maya with it, then threw it in the wall. That was it for his use of it.

Yeah I don't get the "Only hands" complaint for Dark Kiva.

Most of what I remember from him literally only included fisticuffs. When I think of him, I don't really think of any weapons.

It's been a while since I watched the show but the one thing I always remember about Dark Kiva is this:

Mostly because it is ridiculously dumb, but still. I wish we would've gotten that insignia on a printed screen, and the Jacorder is an easy inclusion. Aside from that I just feel like high-end releases like these feel too barebones without any real accessories.

With Showa Riders I can kind of accept it, or some have a new twist to them like Black with the soft plastic, but a fabric cape just isn’t that hot of a thing anymore.

I think the thing is that it's not necessarily a dealbreaker or something awful for a lot of people wanting this figure, but that it is disappointing to see a bare-bones release especially when it feels more like... Bandai is using this as an excuse to pack in as little as they can, which has been a trend with SHF for a while. Compare to lines like SO-DO and FRS where the designers there seem to try and find excuses to include more stuff, and SHF comes off as really disappointing in that regard. Hell, just compare to a little over half a decade ago where we got Fourze figures coming with random modules or Bravo coming with a wine glass. Or, hell, compare with Seihou figures in general -- most Seihous come with a lot of different accessories to replicate just about everything they can do short of packing in a bike.

Dark Kiva doesn't technically need to come with anything... but that doesn't mean it's not disappointing to have less options at a 8800 Yen price point.

It would've been REALLY NICE to have the Zanvat Sword or Jacorder.. but assuming we get them later I guess not as bad.. but then would still deprive their other users of them.

But not even having holding hands by the looks of it for those theoretical future releases makes it bad.

As much as I want him and still will get him, he does now feel overpriced for what we're getting.

It's not a deal breaker, I will still be staying up until 1AM and going through the stressful hell on AmiAmi tonight for him. He is my favorite suit, of some of my favorite characters, in one of my favorite Rider seasons after all.

He doesn't NEED those things, but it would be nice if he had them. Hell even hands to hold the violin from the Kiva bike set.

Yup. It's bound to look similar since it's the same suit, but the SHMA is completely new. It's not only the lack of electronics but also the scale; the Kou Kyo Kyoku Godzilla was bigger than regular SHMA's.

And as predicted, 5 minutes trying to fight AmiAmi's awful servers, only for Dark Kiva to be sold out before I can even get to the cart.

Well... Huh. I was initially thinking I was a bit rusty because of not wanting a lot for a while. Was able to tap add to cart on Dark Kiva on AmiAmi immediately on time in one device and sat refreshing the other for 5 minutes before seeing the sold out notice on the second.

But the first actually added to cart and I checked out 1 minute later. So... actually pretty nice? Still, that predictably and sadly fast.

Edit: Oh and of course the night of a Tamashii drop is also when they finally send me my payment request for last month's order lol. Right at 2 AM too. Yeah not even gonna bother trying to get through checkout to do that right now.

At this point, I'd rather they just make everything Premium Bandai. At least I wouldn't have to wait until 2 in the morning just to deal with this
