Y if I should watch the 0079 movie trilogy |

Also the compilations make Destiny half way watchable and somewhat coherent. Quote:

Well the 0079 movies do some good stuff, again, you lose a lot. Two examples include Garim Zabe's fiancee (at least, I think that was his name) going out for revenge and the Battle of Odessa is nothing more than a minor squabble. Thankfully, the movies seem to have left the last few episodes of the series fully intact though. On the other hand, there is no stupid find the bombs fetch quest episode.

Yeah, I have only watched the 0079 movies so seeing that young blonde Zeon Chick wanting to be that one Zabi's wife in the Origin was outta nowhere, plus I never knew where Mineva came from. But know I know after some research.

Build Fighters 24 and 25
Man this baby ass chairman really wants to win. Didn't he learn from Aila's experience not to fuck around with how somebody's mind and body work? Suddenly Rider Kick. I will admit though, I just love how the chairman's like "Yeah fuck controlling the world I just want to live the easy life." I'd so be like that as well :lol And speaking of him, his backstory is fully revealed; he's just like Reiji. What do I think of this, that's what final thoughts are for Alfred. That battle was pretty...ehh. When it was a back and forth fight it was pretty cool. But considering it's mostly Exia Dark Matter beating the shit out of Build until it gains it's second wind is a bit crappy. Plus I don't like how it ends all that much. So it's definitely not one of the best the show has to offer. And then the arena turned into space. Fun times. Welp, it wouldn't be a Gundam show if we didn't have to save the world. Even if the show is about plastic toy robots. So cue the badass 80s metal soundtrack and save this bitch! Oh, well instrumental music is fine too. Holy shit Mao...your Gunpla is OP. This battle though is fucking epic. It legitimately feels like it's ripped right out of a regular Gundam show. And that is simply awesome. It is the true rival fight wise to Yuki VS Sei/Reiji round 1. And thus the world was saved...again. Along with that we must now say our hard, very hard goodbyes. But first another kick ass fight. Good? Okay, now to the hard goodbyes. Sayonara Reiji. Oh and yeah, Gunpla Battle is still a thing even though the particles are gone, but I guess Nills figured out a way to make them so it's all good. The End ---- Final Thoughts And that was Gundam Build Fighters. How is it? Awesome. It's seriously the only Gundam show I've seen that I was never bored with and constantly loved and wanted to watch. As such I consider it my favorite of the franchise. But all of that aside, how is it? The whole concept is pretty damn cool in my opinion. Yes we've seen similar stories before, but that doesn't mean one will suck one after another. And this show makes that story work. I will admit though I find the whole other dimensional/world part pretty unneeded. I think the story could have easily been put together without it and just explain that in this universe science has actually found a way to animate toys. I also don't really feel the whole control over somebody's body and mind plot. Those though are the only two actual story gripes I have though. But there are two things that when you really stop and think about them are pretty weird and not so great. 1) Like Powerman said, the whole RG and TransArms thing is pretty BSy and is a definitely a Deus ex Machina. A Gunpla will be getting it's ass kicked, activate either system and then clean house. It's just something that is, as I said, fairly bullshitty. However the show is great at getting you into everything, so in the moment you don't really mind. 2) These are plastic model kits. How are these people able to make these things resistaint to particles, certain attacks, and all of that stuff. This is a lot more of a distraction when you take into mind that some of these people are kids. Plus how exactly can you assign power to the model and weapons? It doesn't make sense. But like with the RG this is something that you forget in the heat of the show because of how well it sucks you into the show. But even then this is an aspect which makes no sense logically. All of the characters are developed in some way and all are pretty fun and great to me. Yes some of them are stereotypical, but with how they're present it just makes everything more fun to watch. The action is great and damn near superb in moments (Sei/Reiji VS Yuki after the qualifiers, Sei/Reiji VS Fellini, and the final fight to destroy the crystal being the best IMO). The music is pretty neat as well. I'm not a big fan of rap and even I dug the songs. Both OPs and EDs rock as well and have become permanent fixtures on one of my Japanese music playlists. Overall Gundam Build Fighters is an amazing show which I highly recommend. It has some things people won't like, and it does have two aspects which stuck out rather sorely. But the show makes you forget about them for the most part with how well it sucks you in. Those aside, Build Fighters is fantastic and I highly, highly, highly suggest it (just prepare to make your wallet cry because this show will make you want to buy and build Gunpla like crazy). |
Yea I question as to how certain gunpla had those abilities, but like you said the show sucked you in good enough to the point where you shrug it off for a while.

Actually Trans-Am was pretty well explained in 00, so the rules of it from that show carry over to Build Fighters, so it's less BSy.
