I'm near the end of case 3 of Ace attorney 3, just one more trial segment to go.

Playing Saints Row IV. Got the explosive power DLC. Explosive Blast is gloriously overpowered. Same goes with Freeze Buff.

The Third is my favorite. IV is just a little to over the top for me.

So I recently read a story where a former Nintendo exec said that the dismal sales, and declining sales, of the Wii U are because of the name. .. Really? It's not because of the weird DS controller or your game lineup? YOu could call a system Kitten Murder Death Machine and if the controller was solid and the games were good people'd still buy it by the millions.

Actually I feel the naming thing does make sense. :lol People are very much psychologically affected by the names, and to most people the Wii U sounds like an add-on to the Wii. My sister believed that it was for the longest time.

Of course, the controller and games might have been a factor too. Usually, it's not just one thing.

No that's a very solid argument. You'd probably be surprised then at the number of people, mostly parents, who don't believe it's a new thing, separate from the Wii. They "don't see the point in buying it" if it's just the same -- to them. (I had a talk with my aunt about it last year around Christmas since my cousins weren't able to explain it well enough. The confusion is out there.)

At least with other console successors, like PS2, PS3, hell even Xbox One and 360.... The number makes it clear it's different. It's new.

WiiU is one... A pretty dumb name. Two, doesn't really convey it's new.

That said, it really is only a part of the problems with the console, that's true.

Weird Ds controller? The Wii U gamepad is one of the best controllers ever. People shouldn't be discouraged at the gamepad and the idea that you are dumbfounds me.

Persona 3 FES

I said I was in a ranting mood and damned if I didn't find something to rant about.

Disney Universe. The impression I have of the game is that it's confused. The target audience for this is kids, I understand that. With shiney animation, kooky characters, and the costume system? This game was clearly meant for anyone below the age of thirteen. Maybe twelve. You can see this also in the controls. It's basically a button-mash brawler where you can defeat anything, nearly, by standing in front of it and just beating it a bunch. But then they decided to make the game difficult. I don't mean a little, haha I died. I mean wtf just happened difficult. The challenges are the same way. I think, what happened, is that they tried to make a game that could be enjoyed by everyone. Kids and older alike. And what they did was fail. They failed with this game like I fail trying to explain to someone why I love Lady Candelira. It's fun if you need to kill an afternoon but.. no. Just avoid it.

Devil Survivor Over clocked

Now there's demon possessions in the mix and evil cops with comps and....good god this is getting insane.

If I could describe Persona 3 as my girlfriend, then Devil Survivor is her fun cousin that I'm not that into.

Just beat Ace attorney 3, god that finale is pretty dang epic, tomorrow morning i will begin the last game in this marathon before the release of Professor Layton vs Ace attorney.
Apollo justice Ace attorney 4. My favorite in the series.

Is there a correct path in Skyrim? I feel like there's a way to do everything correctly. The correct group to join, the correct way to complete a side quest, the correct skills to level up, the correct armor and weapons to use, the correct moral alignment etc.

I'm terrible at games like this.

I've been replaying Zone of the Enders.

But all the long pauses between play sessions means I honestly have no clue what I am supposed to be doing.

Unlike fallout, the Elder Scroll games have no alignment/karma system. So basically, it's do whatever the hell you want. You can be a law abiding dragonborn or be a criminal/thief/etc. That's what makes it fun too.

You're doing it wrong if you have to question correctness.

Playing how you would choose to act is the easiest. Or you create a character and roleplay as them, doing what that personality would even if it's against yours. And just going with it.

That said, my original run was an "every man." I joined all guilds, I acquired all artifacts, I saved everyone I could, etc. And there is nothing wrong with that! Because then you get to explore every opportunity without worrying about the consequences (except massacring entire towns -- that one you should avoid).

Ultimately your choices don't really matter at all though. There isn't a right way. Just... play.

As for gear... Go for the best for your playstyle, duh. Like to be fast and unburdened or stealthy? Light armor. Want to tank? Heavy armor. Want to cast magic a lot? Go for all the special enchanted clothes because you'll never make stuff as good lol.

I'm pretty much done with case 1 of Apollo justice Ace attorney.
I wonder how the response for this game would be if Capcom didn't rush the second half of it.

I've been replaying a game too: Shovel Knight. It's a fun game, but with everyone and their dog playing it on YouTube at the same time really burnt me out of it for quite a while now.

It really sucks waiting for games you want to pop up in the virtual console. Time drags on more when you want something badly.......
