Secret Wars will go for about 5 months. The main storyline will release 1-2 issues each month, 4-5 part issues (such as Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars) will release an issue every month and single issues are most likely every week.

I enjoyed the first issue of Secret Wars Spiderverse one.

Reached volume 9 of Runaways (In whatever compilation I'm reading - that stuff's stupid and confusing since the number changes depending on how the chapters are grouped by the whim of the publisher. Yet I see a lot of places pick just one and insist there's only 3 volumes, so whatfuckingever...). The chapters right after they get back from the past.

I almost want to just drop it completely. I absolute cannot stand the art now at all.

Read the Secret Wars Old Man Logan book today. Really really liked it and gotta say I never thought there would be a day when Bendis decompressed storytelling would actually benefit a book :lol

Two issues in May/June, one issue inJuly/August and then two issues again in september.

Watched the other 5 episodes to Agent Carter tonight. They were quite good. There were quite a bit of unexpected turns and it was interesting to see how much Howard is like what his son will be like. Also loved the stuff towards the project that will create Black Widow.

That'd be Volume 3, everything from that point on is basically filler and not up to par with the previous stories.

Okay, so I got the first season's BD of Agents of Shield for my birthday and we have watched the first 4 episodes thus far. Why do people hate this show? Sure, it isn't Flash or Daredevil, but the show has been interesting, funny, with some good character moments so far. I'm not seeing why people are hating on it so much. Is it because it is about shield agents and Coulson rather than super heroes? Because so far, the show is giving me exactly what was advertised, Coulson leading a bunch of shield agents around situations that exist in the Marvel universe.

I loved AoS, personally.

Giant Size Little Marvel AVX is now among my absolute favorite secret wars books. The comic is just pure fun all around.

So, I went to a local Comic Book shop today. Is it me or is Gwen Stacy getting into everything these days? I saw two comics that really got my attention; "Armor Gwen" and I didn't get the other ones name but the cover had Gwen turning into a She-Hulk. Anybody care to comment?

So basically Marvel's just giving up on having a multiverse and is using Secret Wars 2015 to cherry pick what they want to use for their new, singular universe.

It could work. I mean it's going to stink seeing an entire multiverse die but this might be crazy enough to work.

From what Axel Alonso said in interviews the last few days the multiverse is not entirely gone. Spider-Gwen will still exists in a seperate universe for example.

But yeah for the most part this is meant to streamline the universe and get rid of older universe while having the more interested characters out of them still being a part of the universe.

So Marvel's version of COIE. Gotcha.

It's going to be weird seeing how different Marvel's going to be once SW2015 ends, but at the very least it looks to be a fun ride for the fans.

Pretty much yeah. Instead that the characters wont get rebooted. So the way it looks right now the Characters in the new Universe will still remember the old one or at least will remember what happened during Secret Wars.

On a different note I finally sat down to read the first trade of the new Ms. Marvel. And I gotta agree with everyone who gave this book praise. Its not a mind blowing or complicated cosmic adventure with deep philosophical concepts. Instead its a straight forward and fun adventure comic about the life of a teenager in the 21st century that just happens to be filled with a ton of superpowered beings.

The tone very much reminds me of the Spectacular Spider-Man tv show which I absolutely adore. Highly recommended.

I finally got Spider-Gwen Issue #1, it finally arrived at my local comic shop. Really happy.

I've been reading the Original Captain Marvel run from Marvel and I am loving the hell out of it. I'm like seriously Marvel you guys suck for keeping this amazing character dead for so long. I am at the first appearance of Thanos right now and it's so good.

I really want the Original Captain Marvel to come back just not replace Carol as the current one. I see no problems with having two Captain Marvels.

When did Carol Danvers replace Capt. Marvel? I knew she always had the moniker "Ms. Marvel", bur I never thought it was in relation to Capt. Marvel.

At some point in 2012.
And before being Ms Marvel she was a supporting character in Captain Marvel, so she's always been tied to him.

Yup Carol was friends with the original Captain Marvel and was genetically altered by one of Mar-Vells enemies.

She took the mantle of Captain Marvel some time after the war between the Avengers and X-Men.

Oh. Thank you for that info. I never really delved much into Carol's life or journeys. She just wasn't one of my favorite characters. Now the X-Men...until about a few years ago, I was all over them. ^_^

Carol took up the name "Captain Marvel" for herself after the House of M story after being inspired to resume hero work. I believe the original captain (Mar-Vell) was dead at that point so she might've adopted the name in tribute; i'm not remembering perfectly.

At the moment there's a new Ms. Marvel too, a young woman from New Jersey named Kamala. and she is awesome.
