Well, who here has read Watership Down? I feel that it's an excellent book that captures the true nature of the wild rabbit while still permitting humanization and fantastic elements you'd expect from a novel about rabbits.

I watched the movie and felt the most sadness that cut so deep. There was nothing uplifting about it. When I found out (recently) that the same people responsible for that flick, made another called The Plague Dogs and explained to my wife what it was about, she started cry and yelled at me to stop. (She's a big pro dog person.)

Can't blame her. It was horrible to read. Thought I'd watch a bit. What a mistake. The opening segment is one of the dogs trying to reach the surface to gasp for air and he unfortunately drowns. The lab resuscitates him only to do the process all over again, as they had countless times before.

That's just the tip of the iceberg...
