Considering Seihou Black was just release it would make since to me that Shadow Moon would get the Seihou release. Still I am hoping that Faiz gets a Seihou release because he is one of the older SHF releases...that or they could re-release Kabuto Hyper but that is a fools dream lolz

Just had a bad thought; since Saikou Shadow is a primarily black-colored 'Rider', they might make him a Tamashii Nations/Feature exclusive SHF since they typically do the primarily black Riders for that. Either that or its Saber Primitive Dragon since that's also a primarily black-colored Rider.

Event exclusives tend to be the super niche designs that only had a handful of appearances, not necessarily the suit color. Why they decided to make Diend an event exclusive is very questionable though

Don't feel me with hope for Sentai since I've made my peace with it through the Shodo series but I'd definitely love to see Metal Heroes brought back and given the Seihou treatment but I want them to pick up with where they left with B-Fighter and do Kabuto or the Metal Heroes series that was adapted into VR Troopers, Metalider and Speilban, please lol

The blog itself focuses on Rider teases though, as opposed to a separate one they did for Ultraman. So I'd say it’s fair to expect a Rider figure.

It announces a "large collection of Z figures" (so I would awesome Beta Smash and maybe Delta Rise Claw), Tiga from Ultraman Tiga (probably only the already revealed Seihou on display) and a large display celebrating the 55th anniversary.

Wouldn't Saikou Shadow still technically count for that, then? Since it's only appeared in like, 12 episodes, if you include X-Swordman Wonderful and X-Swordman Powerful since they're basically Saikou Shadow with special parts. Then again, I counted the number of episodes Saikou X-Swordman and it turns out it's appeared in 11 episodes, just one short of Saikou Shadow (+ X-Swordman parts).

But I guess Primitive Dragon is much more likelier to be the Event Exclusive with its 5 episode appearances.

It also, in general, tends to be the main character of the show in some sense.

Not really related to the above topic, but how's the limb change gimmick on Ultraman X/Gomora Armor? Does it suffer the same breakage as SS limb changes?

You don’t have to exchange any limbs, the claws use the wrist pegs, they open up on hinges and then close around the forearms after plugged in.

The armor change gimmick works beautifully on this figure IMO.

Off topic, how do you guys clean sticky soft plastic on figures? I found some old Busou Shinkis of mine, but their soft parts are all sticky. Mostly their hair, and I wanna try cleaning them before deciding to get new replacements. Though one of their necks won't hold her head, so I'm thinking about at least getting a new one of her.

They'll probably still make Shadow and still include the first volume sword, along with the arm and leg attachments.

Ooh, Busou Shinki's huh? That's the plasticizer messing them up. I do remember reading somewhere leaving them in lukewarm soapy water for a while, maybe an hour, and then rinsing them while gently brushing would work well.

Probably not. But I assume this is the same method when removing that same plasticizer off of gunpla runners so, use dishwashing soap.

They probably won't make Shadow at this point, especially when the release is actually marked as a set of both Kin No Buki & X-Swordsman forms. If they were gonna make Shadow they'd have done it now and saved X-Swordsman for later

I mean, my train of thought was that it was easier to engineer and make X-Swordman first and then figure out the leg/arm swapping later. Which I'm hoping is also the case why Buster, Slash, and Kenzan are still no-shows.

I mean, X-0 Genm, Kuuga's sub forms, and Ninnin Comic came out way long after their more later forms, so anything can happen.

"At this point" is such a ridiculous thing to say when the show is still airing, and we know for a fact Figuarts releases tend to go on for a very long time.

I mean, that's hardly difficult to figure out - it's simple parts swapping which they've done thousands of times before in different ways - and SHF never really has any scheduling issues because of that. If they're releasing X-Swordsman now they probably just don't plan to do the earlier form which wasn't even really a form. This ain't SO-DO; they often leave a lot of stuff out

I did what you said, and it actually worked out pretty well. They're not sticky now (or at least, not NOTICEABLY sticky). Dried them off with a paper towel, and just letting whatever little water is left in the holes I couldn't dry to air dry. Thanks for the advice.

Honestly we can't say what Bandai Japan will or won't do because who ever expected to see Build Nin-nin/Comic, a form change at that, released well after the show ended while we still have no Build Genius confirmed yet?

Of course we can state the many possible reasons as to why he's getting released but they're all over the place with these releases and seeing who's getting confirmed spots this year

I think NinninComic's circumstances are kinda being underestimated here? Like, don't get me wrong; it's AWESOME and unexpected that it happened, but it's clearly a very special case given how popular Build was and how well it sold. I really wouldn't take that as an indication that SHF's opening the floodgates, especially when the Saber line so far has been business as usual at best while Zi-O was pretty barebones with no movie riders or tsukuyomi. Don't go expecting this stuff, NinninComic's an anomaly

I think we can also shut the door on form changes. When was the last time we got those? Zi-O armors? Those look like they flopped hard given their low aftermarket price.

I'm not expecting Buster, Kenzan, Slash to get those interchangeable parts. I think their absence is more of Tamashii having their plate full with a backlog of other items.

I'm also curious how Saber's releases compare to 01. With as many figures as they've done for 01, I feel the debut of those characters was spread out vs Saber front loading 6/7 different Riders early on. So to me, the delay in Saber releases feels more noticeable because we've seen this larger cast from very early on. 01 SHF announcements felt closer to the character debuts, unless I'm misremembering
