If Super is going to retell ROF then I hope Gotenks, #18 and Kibitoshin joins the fight against Freeza. I also wish the movie had Mr. Satan try to fight Freeza. He has meet every main villain in DBZ (Vegeta, Cell and Buu) expect for Freeza. Not to mention the times when he try to fight Cell and Buu where funny. I hope Super will try to give Mr. Satan a bigger role again.

my only major gripe I have to say is that Resurrection of F mentions Buu, but he never shows up in the movie.

The manga adaption that was a tie in with the movie mentions that Buu was taking a nap during the events of the movie from what I can recall. Besides he would just eat them all in bite anyways.

but Buu has promised not to kill, so he'd probably just toss them all around a bit.

Bulma was 16, NOT 8.

And Piccolo might have gotten over powered at times in Z, but he over came in. IN GT he gets beaten by Baby with ease. Then he shows up to blow up with the Earth. Then he shows up and traps himself in Hell. WTF? That is an insult to Piccolo.

But Super's story is only old to you because it is retelling BoG. BoG was a 100 minute movie. Super is not going to be THAT long on it. And what they are doing is fleshing on the characters.

Except Kai IS worth watching and IS superior to the original in every way. Not to mention Funimation actually took the dub seriously. The only issue with Kai is the cropping and green tint added to the Boo saga. Oh, and that they didn't cut enough of the Boo saga out.

Uub does not show up until years later. The final chapter of DBZ happens 10 years after Uub. Uub is a 5 years old when Freeza was brought back to life in the movie. However Super changes the events of the movies where they are set. So Uub is still a baby by the time when Super starts.

oh okay. I haven't seen Battle of the Gods yet so I don't know about the timeline changes.

Except it wasnt. BOG was a new story that build upon the mythology of the shows universe and left it open to tell more stories with these characters. Something Super isnt doing since its just telling us the exact same things BOG has already told us.

Doesnt change the fact that its still old and incredibly lazy. How are they exactly flashing out the characters? Up until now we have seen nothing that enhances the story of BOG.

Do you not rewatch things? I don't see why this is an issue.

And we have gotten to see Beerus be the god of destruction. We have gotten to see more development for Gohan and Videl. Mr Satan for the first time ever actually had a moment of not being a douche. We had Vegeta as a family man.

If I wanna rewatch BOG I rewatch BOG. What Super does is not "letting you rewatch" the movie its stretching the movie out and having you to sit through a story over the course of multiple weeks that most of the audience has already experienced. In most cases even more than once.
