It makes more sense later on. Dr. Z was introduced by Hatte Saburo to make Akibaranger a more official-ish Super Sentai show. His character and motivations aren't logical because Saburo pulled him together quickly.

Personally I'm not a big fan of Akibaranger because I don't really like some of the more "naughty" bits. I guess you can say I'm a bit more prudish when it comes to Super Sentai at least.

I finished Bioman Episode 3 today, and I was considering stopping it but it made up for it today, so I'm going to continue.

Just finished Liveman episode 1, now that was one of my absolute favorite first episodes from the Pre-Zyuranger Sentai's.

I also just finished Battle Fever J Episode 5. I love there giant robo, it has sweet weapons and an awesome finishing attack. I fucking hate the Egos, but they are great villains so far. I love the team too.

I thought it was Disney thinking "the Sentai has Morphers that are like gauntlets and that will make kids punch each other and it will be too violent so let's make them pizza chefs that wear sunglasses because that way we can work around those bulky violence thingies because we think a show about martial artist superheroes shouldn't have any physical combat whatsoever. Oh Disney, what genius will we think of next? We know, a new teen pop sensation!"

But hey, that's just me.
Though, I would like to see genuine sunglasses that look like the Solar Morphers from the show.

I don't know. I'm honestly not that bothered by Jan when I saw the first two episodes of Gekiranger not too long ago even though I do get why people would be annoyed by him. For some reason, I find his personality to be rather endearing so far.

I agree. I've never heard of this DaiRanger thing. All I know is AkibaRanger was the greatest Sentai series of all time. Nothing has ever come close to it outside of maybe KakuRanger, which is the second best Sentai series ever.

I watched the first few episodes of Gobusters, pretty good series, kinda want to watch the rest but will get distracted and forget :lol

All you need to do is watch the first 8 episodes of Go-Buster, jump to 14-16, and then skip to 42. Hardly anything will change in between and you did not waste your time on boredom.

Onward with Gekiranger! I'll make it through ten episodes, then see.

Remember, you watch Gekiranger for Rio and Mele. The other characters are mostly just a distraction (and in one case a distraction with terrifying elongated tiny-handed cat arms).

I enjoyed the Master roll much better in Jungle Fury, then I love him as an actor. Rio and Mele need their own series.

Well that's not completely true. Rio and Mele are the most fascinating characters, perhaps, but the rest are pretty darn good characters in their own right. I was truly impressed by how much Jan, Retsu and Ran have grown in their "triangle".

I need to catch up with AkibaRanger, however you guys are amazing taking it this far.

Akibaranger is pretty awesome once you get past how dated it looks compared to Sentais from the 00s and 10s.

In what way does it look dated? It has better CG than nearly any other sentai I've ever seen for sure.

Well, yeah, for 1993 it's pretty decent. Not really fair to compare it to modern shows, though.

No... 2012 was Go-Busters. Akibaranger aired in 93, between Zyuranger and Kakuranger. I'm not really sure how you can confuse the two. :confused:
