I still have yet to see Tri outside the first one. I thought the first one was decent for what it was. I will probably watch all of them dubbed because I like Tai's English voice better. I'm a casual Digimon fan, so I can careless about sub vs. dub for it.

So part 6 was good for the most part thankfully. Still had problems with it like:

1. Omnimon power up was just a pull it out of your ass thing like any special card in a Yugioh final battle.

B. Asshole rapie Genai didn't die but did say Diaboromon and Creepymon so maybe they will continue.

They also had the Adventure 2 team in stasis tubes which is where they been since the beginning which that alone still brings up fucking questions like:

A. Seriously how the hell did the others not know they were gone before? I mean if I had gone into life or death battles and saved the world with some of the people here, I am sure as hell going to try and keep in contact with them.

2. The scene showed six stasis tubes and one was empty. so who the hell was the fifth person? From what I can tell from the silhouettes might be a guy but I can be wrong. Still who is it? The original Genai? The guy from Hurricane Touchdown? Or is it the woman who did all this to get her Tapirmon, speaking off.

C. What happened to the woman? Did Tapirmon kill her out of fear of the crazy woman?

4. What happened to the Adventure 2 team digimon? In part two they showed a Black Imperialdramon so they kinda hinted to them possibly being controlled by Rapie McGee and Yggdrasil yet this is never goes anywhere.

E. This is called Adventures Tri as in the third in the Adventures series not Adventures 1 the second!! The 2 team is still a major part of the Adventures series so actually have them be a fucking part of the story for fuck sake! And stop having Rapie McGee posing as Ken for no fucking reason!

I thought the series was OK, I mostly watched it for Brave Heart.

Remember how Digivolving Spirits WarGreymon had his mask made out of diecast, but not the horns? Meanwhile, MegaKabuterimon is like:

My friends and I re-watch the Digimon movie for laughs. I'm glad that Battle of Adventurers and Runaway Locomon never got edited into two movies by Saban in the early 2000's. Otherwise we would have got a soundtrack with music from 3 Doors Down, Creed and Linkin Park.

Finally got around to wasting some precious moments of my life on Bokura no Mirai.

I swear you could get a solid drinking game just out of every gratuitous shot of Ordinemon's ass they got in there. Shit got really comical really fast. That or every clearly-padding-for-time unnecessary transformation sequence.

That's about the extent of what I have to say about the movie. It wasn't very good. Tri wasn't very good.

I wonder if things would be different if they hadn't needlessly staggered out a mediocre two-cour anime over three years.

I'm just glad I dropped Tri early. It was handled so poorly.

Next year is Digimon Adventures' 20th Anniversary!

I still need to finish Tri, I own DVDs for most of the movies now and I haven't actually watched very far. I liked what I have seen so far though.

Digimon's Twentieth Anniversary was last year. This is explicitly for Digimon Adventure's 20th Anniversary. Doing something about Tamers for Adventure's 20th wouldn't make sense.

Not that they'll do anything for Tamers' actual 20th, though...

As right now Toei own full international right to anything digimon now as saban was not people who dub tri that was Toei. So doubt it
