Actually, Carol became Captain Marvel after Avengers vs. X-Men, specifically after Mar-Vell was briefly resurrected in the Secret Avengers tie-ins only to sacrifice himself once again in order to stop the Phoenix Force from coming to Earth.

Angry Police Chief Thor was pure brilliance.

It's a buddy cop Thor book, every scene is genius.

So I just finished Daredevil: The Man without Fear by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr. Both artists work really well together and Miller is still on his A-Game before he went completely nuts.

You can really tell that the Netflix show took alot of inspiration from this book without completely copying it so they are alot of surprises if you have seen the show. Its a great origin for the character that dives into who the character is an what makes him tick.

I thought it was a bit too dark. I mean, yeah, Daredevil gets dark later in his career, but he was a bit more of a swashbuckler at first. You don't really see that in the miniseries.

I still liked it. But it's not my favorite Daredevil story.

I never read much Daredevil so all I know him from are pretty much his live action outings and the Mark Waid run.

I liked the darker tone of the story overall when seen as its own story. It fit the context and was well rounded. Obviously it clashes with other portrayals of Daredevil who showcased his earlier years more as a swashbuckler like you mentioned.

That's a good way to describe all of his Daredevil work.

He was so unintentionally hilarious on his debut. :lol

The thing is that like many other characters that changed tone as they evolved, that dark tone is the one most closely associated with Matt, his life is hell, his enemies are monsters, he suffers more than his peers, but he reamins a good person.


Most DD stories are like the show and that comic in tone, though not necessarily in graphic violence.

Thats why I´m finally trying to get caught up on it :lol

His run on the character is great, hope you continue to enjoy it. :D

Given the logo its probably Brock. I would be fine with it if Flash keeps his symbiote which is the most likely scenario at this point.

Especially given the fact that there exists a Venom symbiote in the Ultimate Universe that could end up in the new Universe after Secret Wars.

Yeah, it does look Brocky... but unlike you I wouldn't expect them to coexist.
Heck, I don't want Brock to become Venom again, he clearly wants to avoid that.

That thing has been mutated so much it's kind of hard to imagine it as regular Venom.

I could do without Brock as Venom.

Love that Venom. Which one is it?!

Shes called Maniac. She was introduced in the last arc of Cullen Bunns run on the Flash Thompson Venom book.

She was one of Flashs students that got bonded to a part of the original Venom symbiote.

Did she last very long? Better question is, was she in control?

It was just a few issues where she appeared. She still has the symbiote but didnt showed up after the book ended. She was in control for the most part since Flash trained her how to use the symbiote effectively.

Cool. A female Symbiote User other then Shriek. Nice!!

She was a cool character. Which is why I hope she gets to return after Secret Wars.
