What is the most surreal moment of Super Sentai or Kamen Rider
For me, It got to be Gokaiger have so many Sentai Legends return I mean I would never thought those Sentai Legends reprise their role at all! The original plan for Gokaiger was to focus more on Character Development of Gokaigers and Toei wanted Gaoranger to Goseiger to be main focus however because the earthquake happens. Toei scrapped the character development due of former Sentai actors wanted to be on Gokaiger to support the people who got injured. Which could explain of how the whole Friendship thing from Kamen Rider Fourze came about! Earthquake! |

It's not really surreal. The former Sentai actors wanted to help keep children calm and boost morale in some way, so they did in the best way they could find.
Surreal would be Dairanger's ending :p |

Having several decades of past-sentai actors reprise their roles could absolutely be considered surreal. It's something that had never happened before, and something that no one ever thought possible until it actually happened. Up till that point, having that many actors reunite as their former characters was something only possible in a sentai fan's fever dream. It's not surrealism (see: Dairanger's ending), but it could be considered surreal for certain viewers/fans. |
I guess it's hard for me to see former actors returning since, prior to, Vs. movies were still common place, and about a decade earlier, Gaoranger vs Super Sentai brought 5 former actors back out of the blue to reprise their roles, including 77's Big One and and 88's Red Falcon.
I guess I'm just crazy~ |

I've come to accept that all Super Sentai shows happen in the same world (and mostly in the same Tokyo). The hard part for me to rationalize is why we don't get MORE cameos. Shouldn't the Kyouryuugers and Go-Busters notice that Japan is being taken over by evil train stations instead of just letting a team of literal children handle the problem? Nah, they only show up for one isolated event, showcased in a movie. Right.

Shared continuity is not a concern for Toei and the Sentai staff. BUT. If you must torture yourself with how they all fit into one cosmology (i.e., if you're like me :lol ), you should consider the Versus Universe Theory. This theory proposes that every Sentai series is set in its own unique universe, and in addition to those 40ish universes, there is a another -- the Versus Universe -- where all of the Sentai teams co-exist. That alternate universe is where every Versus movie, Gokaiger, and Ninninger take place. Not only does the Versus Universe Theory make sense of the movie crossovers (which are, by and large, never referenced in the TV series) -- it solves the continuity issues found in almost every Versus movie (i.e., how can X-Sentai be fighting X-Villain with X-Mecha when X-Villain was destroyed before X-Mecha was introduced). It also explains how the same actors can play different characters in different series (e.g., Kou's mom also being The Commander from Jetman). It's not a perfect solution, and it's not remotely official, but it's the best one we've got. |
Which Zyuohger's mysteries are you interested the most? Birdman or Yamato's parents?
For me, it's both. I wanted to know why Bird Man hates Zyuland (His Home) and his real name. I'm also curious if Yamato didn't have a great relationship with his parents On episode 2, He told Tusk that when he was little kid. He met Bird Man after he ran away from his home due of having argument with his parents. I thought that one is not important but on episode 9, When Sela ask Yamato about his parents. He didn't responds to her and his uncle help him out so he doesn't have to answer her question. How does this happy-go-lucky Red Ranger have a bad relationship with his parents and what was the argument that made Yamato run away? Yamato is NOT first ranger to have a bad relationship with his parents. Tatsuya cut his connection with his father who wanted him to inherited the company but he rather be a normal person than a rich man. Yukito hates his father for not only take away his childhood away from him but he was the one who paid his girlfriend's parents to take away his girlfriend from him. No wonder why Yamato stay with his uncle than his parents! Sad kid |

Why we don't another space-themed sentai ?
|

EDIT: oddly enough, it looks like Uehara wrote both Shaider and the Ohranger movie. Huh. |
Should sentai could had cosmic beings like marvel ?

I'm not sure if you've ever even watched Super Sentai. |
Well, Satan and Cthulu aren't really the types of monsters to come in mind when one says "Cosmic being" since they're more akin to demonic entities. Gekirangers' final enemy was more mythological than cosmic.
This isn't to say they haven't fought cosmic beings (2/4 of Gosei, Daijinryuu in Dai, etc). I just think when someone says "Cosmic forces" they're referring to magical alien style characters, rather than enemies from space. |
In which case a lot of the 80s Sentai villains fit the bill.

Like, the Zangyack from Gokai are aliens, but they don't come to mind for me. |
Exhaus from Carranger could be considered a cosmic being too ?
|
Is Birdman's Role a wild card one?
I wouldn't say he's allies or an enemy to Zyuohger because he save Yamato twice but he despise Zyuland You don't know, He could be a good guy or a bad guy. |
We could have objects like the infinity gems and chaos emeralds in sentai ?

Maybe you right but, they wasn't magical alien-like stones.

Shape is irrelevant. Function and purpose is all that matters. |
But we could have a history almost similar to the infinity gems ?

When Suit Actor went too mental on another suit actor?
Just says they are filming a fight scene between a ranger/rider and monster of the week. What if that suit actor got carried away and start fighting another suit actor too real I mean when did Seiji Takaiwa got involved on-set incident? He have been incident at least! What if he punch another suit actor too hard. |
These forums need a mute/ignore function.
I'll ask a question to stay on topic. What would you rather see first: a male Sentai Pink or a female Sentai Black? |

I'd like to see a female black more. Would be pretty neat~

Not sure where to put this but, here it goes, lol. Do you guys think this Superhero Time block of Zyuohger and KR Ghost is the best one we've had in quite a while? Both shows seem to be hitting their respective strides with flying colors having simultaneous great stuff happening in both shows.

But maybe it is the best SHT block in a while, just because even though Ghost is not that good, Zyuohger is so much better than Ninninger, ToQger and Kyoryuger. A mediocre half (Ghost) and a great half (Zyuohger) might be better than a great half (Gaim) and a bad half (ToQger). Same with Drive and Ninninger, even though I think Drive isn't as good as Gaim. |
Do you guys want a mecha battle with or without CG ?

Which day do you expect of the June magazine?
If Zyuohger and Kamen Rider Ghost doesn't get 1 week hiatus, I would say June 5th will not only being a debut of Ghost's final form but also a debut of Zyuoh TheWorld! :) Between those two, What are you excited the most? I am excited about Zyuoh TheWorld because we don't know if he's a good guy or a bad guy and maybe he can shake the story dynamic! Let me analyze this Episode 34- The Debut of Ghost's final form, Mugen Damashii Episode 17- The Debut of Zyuoh TheWorld, The Sixth Ranger of Zyuohger! |
You guys prefer a gattai with or without CG ?

With CG.
To be honest, Mech combination sequences lose all sense of wonder by the 3rd combination. Afterwards, it's just padding. And having the sequence done with practical effects means everything has to be shot just right, one at a time, where as CG can have 3 mecha transforming and combining at once while seamlessly combining with the other 2. I know people really hate the overuse of CG, and I do too, and I'll fully admit that the first combination, especially when done with practical effects, is a sight to behold. But when you have to see that same footage, but with only a whopping 2 seconds cut out, episode after episode, in a franchise that is already infamous for padding it's episodes out with henshin sequences, roll calls, and mook fights that don't really offer anything, I'd be willing to take the much faster CG combination if it means the action is a lot smoother and faster. |
With CG looks too artificial.
