I think the arc showed Inoue just doesn't care about Kiva, even though he was its writer. They got Yuri's actress and yet she didn't even play her. Jiro appeared in a few scenes, but might as well have been a new character since he basically didn't talk about Kiva, aside from the weird line about being a servant of the Kiva clan (rather than mentioning Otoya specifically).

With or without Ginga, it feels like it wouldn't have connections to Kiva as long as Inoue was the writer.

I don't quite agree. That arc really made me feel like I was watching Kiva again, what with it's baffling attempt at a love story and a power-up that comes in out of nowhere.

Well, Riku's actor (Kenji Tominaga) actually are suit actor for Kuuga. He also have other role as unnamed businessman (Kamen Rider Abyss) in Rider Time Ryuki.

I think it wil be really interesting if Riku are revived and he will portrayed again by Kenji Tominaga.

The worst thing about it is that Kiva doesn't appear. AT ALL. At least during the early episodes the main Riders are glimpsed even if the actors didn't reprise their roles, but Kiva is the only Rider to not appear in any form in his arc.

I know the episode is the 'so bad it's good' kind of thing, but I really want them to redo Kiva arc, especially when they would've go crazy with time travel and have Masao return.

It was bizarre to me that Kiva didn't appear when the end of the previous episode showed the suit very proudly.

That's easy, it's obvious Tsukasa rejoined Dai-Shocker to create them and then probably betray them once it's complete...... If it was exactly that it would be a nice homage to Ichigo getting himself kidnapped by Shocker again to upgrade himself, as well as Grease and Rogue.

Shinigami no2 is back. I wished the movie is an alternate ending instead of possible true ending like exaid according to japanese spoiler board translation. Should of fit him in the chase tribute. He could become drive as well like gattack as kabuto.

They didnt expand the lore too much besides the summer mvoie. It's like there wasnt any at all making all those diend and narutaki memes even more laughable during the time it aired. However, the character is more interesting than sougo. A tad bit more development. I'm wondering if they will do another cliffhanger ending. Movie war will still continues unlike taisen and Ss in theater.

Glad to see that the Zi-O Card has an actual use in the show.

I'm surprised they're doing a second Drive arc, when they still haven't brought back anyone from Kuuga. Unless I've missed something, it's the only series they didn't get a single actor from in the TV show. Granted, there's still three episodes left, a last minute surprise is still possible

I more prefer if Gentaro in Fourze suit are interacting with Sougo just like Kouta in Gaim suit are interacting with other Riders in Dr. Pacman vs Heisei Generations movie....

Also, since Godai's actor are more likely will not return in Zi-O, I think it will be really interesting if Riku is revived and appeared in Zi-O series or movie and Riku's actor are suit actor for Kuuga....

It's too bad that Onodera is hated by the fandom. I think Toei really intended for him to be Kuuga's proper successor. If he was written better maybe fans would've liked him and he'd appear in Zi-O

While Zi-O is almost end, there's still some surprise to be seen.

Speaking of which I know this is a fat chance since Geiz and Woz will get it, but I kinda wish that Zi-O's V-cinema would focus on Decade and Aqua.

Although there's a possibility that Woz's V-cinema could have him obtain Aqua Miridewatch.

Onodera's hate is primarily because he isn't Godai. Hell, he only exists cause Odagiri didn't want to return

I remember finding him the most pointless character in Decade without even having watched Kuuga. I disliked him on his own terms.

I get the non-legacy role he was supposed to fill - being a much more lighthearted and comedic character compared to Tsukasa and Natsumi - but he just never felt like a good character.

The issue is that it was pretty clear the writers themselves didn't like the idea. It probably came from a producer and was imposed on the staff. Sho Aikawa while he remained the main writer, although treating Onodera decently as a supporting character, never had him transforming into Kuuga after the Kiva World. Inoue and the writer of the Kabuto episodes outright disregarded him completely.

Kobayashi and Yonemura were willing to use him as Kuuga, but clearly weren't attempting to make up for how much the other writers ignored him, so even in their episodes he was just kind of "there". There wasn't a single one of Decade's writers who legitimately attempted to push him as the new Kuuga.

It sucks that Joe doesn't want to come back, because I had a thought that by some insane miracle that he did come back, that they would tribute the scene where we first see him try to cheer up a kid as a way of book ending the Heisei era.

Honestly I found it really bizarre how many times Onodera would be present but simply just didn't Henshin to lend an assist to Decade

I think for me the thing is, what saves Decade for me is the relationship Tsukasa has with the other cast members, and how bizarre yet real they feel in different ways. His relationship with Natsumi feels like the most sibling relationship of all toku siblings with how much they hate yet love each other, while his relationship with Daiki feels very much like two bitter whiny exes. And I kind of love these.

In a series that I found a lot to love - likely unintentionally - in how these characters were so awful yet loveable with some of the funnier relationships on a base level, Onodera... just... didn't manage to fit into that for me.

I think (it's been a while since I've seen Decade) in Hibiki Sekai he hid behind a tree in fear or something like that. It's like, c'mon dude, did you forget you're a Kamen Rider?

I definitely like Decade quite a bit overall, but some of those AU Riders were pretty lame, especially Onodera. I wonder if a different actor had been cast to play him (besides Joe obviously) if he would have been better received?
