Yeah use clear nail polish. Different brands may behave differently with SO-DO plastic and the stickers, so I always recommend trying it on a test figure or inconspicuous spot.
If you really want to brush the clear nail polish, you just have to use a softer brush (the ones included in nail polish bottles are pretty rough). Any fine sable hair brush will do. I've also seen people thin out nail polish with acrylic paint thinner and airbrush it on to figures. https://i.imgur.com/9amGirg.jpg From left to right: Converge Figure, SHODO, SO-DO, and YU-DO. |
Thank you all for the tips!

We're getting the Gatriker!! Made up of three boxes, it's super well detailed; has turning handles and rolling wheels... and the guns are detachable and feature SO-DO hand compatible pegs. Which leads to some amazing opportunities

Nice! Now we can recreate all 2 of the episodes it was in! Actually I don't even remember if they actually did the gatling gun thing.
But seriously, I love when SO-DO does vehicles and non-figures. It's cool to see how they fit them into boxes and piece them together. |

The gatriker looks great.
Currently I'm sitting here wishing I had a Candy toy scale sasword. I know I could buy the Motion Revive, but I'd really like SO-DO or SHODO. I'm wondering why we never got a SHODO Sasword, Drake, and TheBee. Also part of me wants the next series of figs to be Kabuto since that'd just be like 2 boxes? Kabuto, The Bee, Drake, Sasword, Gattack in One, then Hyper Kabuto, Kick Hopper, Punch Hopper, Dark Kabuto and uh something then p-bandai movie riders. My other wants are Ghost, but that would take forever to get everything done, and Faiz. Faiz would also only be like 1 wave with the maiin 3 riders, then Orga and Psyga p-bandai set, and rio troopers... somehow. |
I think 555 due to its popularity would be likely to have everything done in 2 retail waves -- Faiz, Axel, Kaixa, the Auto Vajin; then Delta, Blaster, Orga, Psyga and Riotrooper. I don't know how many boxes the Auto Vajin would take up but it strikes me as something that would have to happen and I played it safe with 4 boxes. But if not then maybe Delta could sneak into Wave 1?
If Kabuto were to have 10 retail figures, I imagine the 10th would be a ZECTrooper. Could see them chucking Hyper Gatack into the Preban wave too? But the thing is with Kabuto is that they'd have to do Cast Off, and I wonder how possible that is for two boxes per figure. |
At least, you'd have a separate box for Masked Form armour and Rider form armour, I imagine. And the way SO-DO is going, there's probably minor differences on the base body they'd decide it would be worth doing a very minorly different but more accurate release for.

I think I found a good place to display Saikou

Hah! Love it

On the Zenkaiger Yudos…how do they scale with an SHFiguarts?

Just posting some fun SO-DO pictures, don't mind me:

I just want to check something; did YUDO Lupat never release red, yellow and blue coloured splayed hands for the Lupinrangers? If they didn't it's okay because Kiramager did and I can get around it that way, but it would be nice if Lupat had at least done red...
|
Nope and Kiramager hands are not compatible with LuPat arms. Kiramager uses way bigger pegs, so modding might be an option. They also use a very different blue though, so that will look wrong regardless.

Oh. Oof...

I really want those angled hands for the Saber riders but they come in all sorts of mixed boxes.
And wow you can really see how SHODO-X can't keep up with the intricacies and uniqueness of the Heisei suits. SHODO-X Showa suits look amazing and well painted, but the later Heisei suits are just too detailed and complicated. Fourze's belt looks like he 3D printed himself a replacement. Wizard fares a little bit better but no other suit screams give me clear parts like he does. |
For what they are SHODO-X 14 looks amazing! It's so cool that we're now at a point where this many Heisei 2 Riders are being covered and you can see their dedication to doing everything. Though, maybe finish up the few Showa guys left? Pretty please...?
Ah what do I care, seeing Fourze here got me so excited |
What an out there line up Book 10 is. There's only one Rider in the wave and it's a power up that appears for like 10 seconds. Then there are FOUR monster figures and tricycle. This is up there with the wave that made a Sentai weapon in a Rider line.
Shodo-X 14 is a must have. Been trying to track down the old candy toys for ages with only luck for Fourze himself. |
Wizard plus Meteor are, like, my first ever Kamen Riders. They're close enough to my heart, I might try and grab them.
And yeah, Wave 10 is mad. I remember back in Build how they didn't do Evolt's monster form, now look, three in one wave. |
Is there any way to get the Zenkaiger Yodo set at this point? The full box seems to be sole out everywhere, and I've been checking Mandarake every night for weeks hoping for a complete set to go up to no luck
|

I can see full sets on Yahoo auctions, but they are around $50 before fees and shipping and everything. But it does look pretty rare. The usual places I look for candy toys don't have the full set anymore. Mostly just Zenkaiger himself. |
The dupes in the box were 2 Zenkaisers and 1 accessory box, so that'll be why you're seeing him everywhere.
That said, the other Zenkaigers were on Mandarake alone last I checked... might be your best option at this point |
|
Yeah, I've been able to find individual Zenkaigers in a few places, but buying them one by one would kill me with the shipping

How do I use that site? The price is fair, I accept that it's my fault for getting into Zenkaiger late, but I've never used Zenmarket before

But basically Zenmarket is a proxy site, so they buy goods on your behalf. You give them money to buy the thing. They charge you a ¥300 service fee for each item. You also have to pay for shipping from seller to Zenmarket warehouse*. *This fee is not always easy to find, and sometimes it's not even calculated until the item ships. But in this case, the seller has listed that the shipping is ¥510 nationwide. Then once the item arrives at the ZM Warehouse, you pay for shipping from them to you. Again, you won't know this until after you bought the item. You can make an estimation based on weight, but ZM will quote you before you have to commit. So the total will be ¥5310 before shipping. Also worth noting is that Zenmarket works on a balance/credits system. You put money into your account and then spend it. Rather than spend when you buy something. This can cause a lot of issues when you put money into your account and then lose an auction. You get your money back, but its as a credit. Adding more funds and withdrawing funds have associated fees. Because you essentially pay for shipping twice, and there's no fee to consolidate orders (unlike some other sites) Zenmarket is good for ordering a bunch of stuff. But small candy toys on their own will end up with more fees and shipping than the item it worth. I still recommend their service but be very careful about scams and bad Yahoo Auction sellers. You have very little protection and recourse if something goes wrong. |
Ah, damn, sound like I'm better off just being patient with Mandarake. So-Do stuff seems to come back into stock fairly regularly, even older stuff like Chronicle Den-O. Not sure if Yu-Do is the same though.
|
You can set up an email notification on Mandarake whenever an item is in stock,
; although they’re gonna send it to you on Japan time, so their business hours might be late evening/night for you |
Problem is they don't send it as soon as an item comes in stock, it does a check at set times. By morning a lot of new stock sells out. It's better to manually check in the evening

AH yes, this is the SODO figure that completely sold me on the SODO line.
Before I got this figure, I had picked up 1 or 2 SODO randomly at my local market, and thought they were just nice candy toys. After getting Grand Zi-O and realizing the paint potential they had, I was addicted and starting scouring online for them. Just look at the detail on such a small figure! IWAE!! |

Some fun surprising reveals this time around -- Kamen Rider Storious; Super Hero Senki; and Primitive Dragon's creepy book arm! But Book 10 has been fully revealed, so how are these getting released...? Tune in next week to find out, apparently!
