It's good that it's a 3-piece soft plastic cape. Cloth isn't always better - especially when the cape is tied to the shoulder pads. Look at Prime Rogue.

Tamashii just announced that the next pre-order date for retail release sis June 3rd, so chances aren’t bad that if Shadow Moon is retail he'll go up then.

It can not sadly because the first suit doesn't have stripes on the pants. The monochrome color probably refers to the base; it's supposed to look like that.

Oh, geez. I forgot it's only the new Ichigou suit that has the strips.

Shadow Moon looks great. It looks to me like it is doing the rubber parts like Black. Rubber joints would look good for the hip joints.

Seeing Shadow Moon has me super excited for Black RX.

My fingers were crossed for a First Appearance Ichigou, but it's always nice to see a figure of Ichigo in any form.

We already had Seven and Taro so Leo does seem to fit the bill and about time too. Also Zero and Taiga have red feet. But aside from these, right off the top of my head I believe there is Jonias, 80, Zearth, Max, Zenon, and Mebius left.
As for Super Sentai returning as figuarts I don't see it happening yet, but a S.H. Figuarts Zenkaiser and Stacaesar I think would be worth it.

You know what I'd like to see get revealed at Tamashii Features? An S.H. Figuarts of Shin Hayata.

It's about that old mold for the Faiz Figuarts that they used as a rerelease when Zi-O aired.
To make it able to stand at somewhat the same size as other Kamen Rider figuarts I used the hip joints and this was just ugly...I completely forgot that you could use the Abdomen to gain in height aswell...

So just to have a laugh, I tested something.

There's a small blog post for Shadow Moon too, basically the hopper legs on the feet are articulated and the pistons are interchangeable for a walking pose. They tried incorporating actual moving pistons for a fully automated gimmick but the scale is too small for that too work properly.

Not really, but I assume concept art has him supposed to move it like that.

Yup. Basically, the hopper legs are on pistons that extend beyond the feet so when the suit actor puts his feet on the ground the pistons move up and take the hopper legs with them. It's a pretty cool effect, with a really nice sound effect attached to it.

Seems like he doesn't have any so far. And even then, if he does have it on his armpit like black, I think it's easy enough to replace with cloth unlike Black.

Just FYI, the hopper legs + piston thing is not present on the action scene version of the suit and also appears less when Shadow Moon makes Heisei cameos. So it makes sense if you have never noticed it!

It's pretty much the same sort of deal that base Kiva got, then; very cool aesthetic, not necessarily the safest though.

looks like S.H.Figuarts Jaou Dragon is using back 3 piece cape.

The "Jao cloak" on the back is divided into shoulders and back, and the shoulder armor moves independently of the arms, allowing for both style and movement with a huge cloak, allowing for natural action!

Depending on the execution, we might see something like TARAI_YOU's mods to his SHFs where it gives a visual upgrade to the figure, or something like Prime Rogue where it's a janky mess.

This pic and the other where his arms are out does give me hope that it isn't, though. Of course it means his arms won't go all way in the arm, but nor does the physical suit anyway, so it's whatever.

Yeah, it looks like they've opted for the show-accurate style of shoulder pads. This picture pretty much confirms it because they NEVER take that into account when they pose these figures for promotional purposes. They usually just turn the entire arm/shoulder as far as they need to. It won't function all that great as an action figure, but it makes a lot more sense for them to do it this way.
