I would say keep trying? I had this happen before but kept clicking the button until it worked, and I could complete the order.

Although on other occasions AmiAmi did specifically give me a message that the item is not available anymore and removed it from my cart.

And...Shadow Moon disappeared from my cart.....Aaaaaarg

What really sucks is AmiAmi's preorder nonsense is starting to happen with domestic toylines. Ugh.

What baffles me the most is that European Tamashii branch refuses to try to get the Kamen Rider series Figuarts line in the European territory.

I was told by a representative of Tamashii Nations France(Cosmic Group) that the licence was pretty costly and it wouldn't sell well.

I remember them trying a few years ago with the Shinkocchou Seihou line, we had Kuuga and Agito.

Them having the Rider series on their site would clear a lot of major headache such as these >.>

I guess I'll wait for Shadow Moon to appear on Amazon Japan....

Really wants to make you give up the hobby entirely with how BS preorders have gotten.

Even with web exclusives, the increasing amount of them selling out day 1 (looking at you Ultraman Z) is getting crazy.

I wish Bandai could just do what GSC do and have designated preorder windows where preordering is never a problem.

I’ve been there too. Basically they don’t think the toys will sell unless we have the show as well. But then Toei clearly aren’t that interested in distributing the show without the toys. We just go round in circles.

I agree. It used to be super easy, just be there when pre-order open and you'll get it. Nowadays though, every pre-order is a gamble.

If they would start selling them over here that would make my collecting life very much easier though. Like, I recently started buying a few Dragonball Figuarts and these are available locally – I can basically buy them for close to what they cost in Japan, without shipping and import fees.

I will just use Facebook Kamen Rider groups, they are almost *always* LESS than ordering from AmiAmi or HLJ or wherever. Fuck these sites, how the hell can you offer preorders when your Servers CRASH when the wind blows??????? And I WAS spending roughly 2k every 4 months there on Figuarts.... They’ve lost my business

Except that Heo tried to sell Kamen Rider figuarts at one point.
Now they don't bother but at the same type, Kamen Rider wasn't as big as it coule be now in Europe.

And this debacle is exactly why I gave up all notion of collecting ANYTHING and focusing on what I REALLY want, and even then limiting myself to second hand goods and playing the long waiting game.

Unless what I want happens to be on sale at a nearby toy store. In which case, almost-instant purchase. Or LEGOs. No, always buy LEGO immediately, those things only become more expensive over time.

I do just that, because I cannot preorder as much as I want, and also, for some things it's completely useless.
Except that for some case like some Dragon Ball Figuarts or some Kamen Rider Figuarts, you get just that kind of debacle we had this morning.

What little we know about Black Sun is that it is specifically about the story of the Minami brothers, so yes, absolutely! Like with Amazons they'll be a normal SHF line

It's not really AmiAmi's fault. It's Bandai being shit.

AE is fine from my experience; I always got what I ordered.

I'd say there's fault on both ends. There's definitely a lot of blame to be laid at Bandai's feet for how little stock they seem to produce of these figures that have, for the past 4 or 5 years consistently now sold out in seconds; but AmiAmi and HLJ absolutely have to clean out their own house in regards to the servers

Bandai could also just not drop so much at once... That'd freaking help the stores a lot.

But also just ramping things up on drop days should have been something quite easily implemented years ago if the stores also cared enough to.

Sorry to all you who missed out. I'm real glad I decided to skip the 2 Riders.. only wanted Shang Chi lol. And even then, I woke up 2.5 hours after the drop and AmiAmi was STILL giving me the connections busy error trying to check out with just him in my cart. Long after the Roku and valks had sold out.. just garbage.

I never had a problem to access to Amiami before...and the trouble started last year.
It's absolute hell to go to their website even in normal time...and it's NOT my computer nor my network as I have this problem everywhere in Belgium.

I don’t order retail Seihou Figuarts any more. It just to freaking crazy they sell out way to fast. I go the webshop route for Seihou easier and you get your preorder. IMO the rider 1 repaint is not worth it and important enough I have the first one and that good enough for me.


Also I think people should stop using amiami they are a shitstorm to deal with they just don’t care about there site crashing every damn time new Seihou go up for preorder. I don’t know why people are still using them find another website to order from the hell with them there crap why would you still deal with there crap after all these years?

If you're not pre-ordering a retail SHF then the rest of their service runs smoothly, the shipping's decent, they have a fantastic pre-owned section, it's easy to cancel with them and they have the occasional good sale. Obviously their server issues for retail SHF Ultras and Riders is bad but otherwise it's a good site

Is that true? I’ve never done it myself because I heard they ban your account if you try.

If you do it too many times, yeah; but there's a couple things I've cancelled with them now and it was fine
