For me it's not so much Twilight having a love interest it's more of all Flash Sentry was created to be was that love interest. He has no character of his own and simply exist for Twi to faun over him... does that make any sense? :o

I understand where you're coming from. I just fail to see Flash as a bad character, especially after weathering through non-characters such as Trixie, Flim and Flam, Big Mac, Maud, Photo Finish, Vinyl, Fleur, etc etc etc.

I guess if you don't have a vagina, you don't get a free pass, because it seems only the male characters get any form of backlash.

Eh, fair enough. I don't exactly hate Flash, he's just kind of... there if you know what I mean.

So...it seems that season 5 may be the one to truly shake things up, since season 4 didn't do that all too much and we thought it would. Also, eat it all the people who ragequit thinking that Twilight becoming an Alicorn would cause her to leave her friends. She gets to be a Princess AND keep her friends! :D

So, I liked it, and I think this is the most action-y we've ever seen this show, yeah sure...we've gotten a single magical blast before, but never a full blown DBZ-esque fight scene. I also like that this episode really hammered home the subtitle of the show...sure the Elements of Harmony kinda did that, but not to the same extent, I feel.

I also enjoyed this season a lot more as a whole over season 3...but I'm not sure if it beats out season 1, but if I compare the finales...I like this one a lot more than Best Night Ever. I think I'd have to compare each individual episode, from both seasons 1 and 4 to make my decision on that.

All in all, season 4 was a fun ride, and I am very much looking forward to season 5! :D
