I like the thought of the multi dino roles played by the gems that way if he needed something land based and fast, BAM, Velociraptor. Oh he need something strong?, BANG, Tyranosaurus. Needs something in between? BOOM, Spinosaurus....Get the Idea? and a Megalodon form could be seriously bad ass

If I understand right what the idea was is that each color gem represent a different class of Dino that way if he needs something specific he can switch to that class and the specific Dino he needs be it Aerial or Aquatic, Light or Heavy, Strong or Fast...

How does he switch to that specific class?

The magnifying glass/dial on his Driver perhaps?

That's what I had in mind as well.

I imagine the amber stones could come with a scrolling mechanism that switches the design inside the stone similar to Ghost's eyecons (I think) whenever the dial is turned, which will then be magnified by the glass. And after that you just pull and push the lever to activate the transformation.

I think the glass could have up to 4-5 modes so I guess each mode corresponds to a specific dino or class.

I was thinking there could be form change amber stones and power up amber stones. The form change ambers are based off of a group of dinosaurs such as carnivores, herbivores, etc. The power up ambers are based off of specific dinosaurs such as T-Rexes, pteranodons, etc. The power up ambers can only be used for a specific a form change amber. For example the T Rex power up can only work with the Carnivore form change amber and the Plesiosaurus power up amber can only work with the aquavore form change amber. Using this system we can keep the whole functionality of Yuu's belt except it will eliminate the dial.

See, that's what I was thinking initially. But I don't like the Idea of constantly switching out the stones.

OOOH! Maybe... Okay. He's got the Carnivore, Herbivore, Omnivore, and Aquavore stones (forms.) Each one has multiple Dino DNA strands in them, lets say four or five. By turning the magnifying glass to a selected dino and chomping the jaws, he gains its attributes. His form finisher is turning the glass to the last position and chomping the jaws. The attack (in base form, probably a kick) combines all five of the dino powers into a specialized assault.
