SRC Gokai-Oh is a really nice figure. Beautiful to look at and not to mention some great poseability as well (which I obviously didn't capture, still waiting for my Tamashii stages to arrive)!

Some day I'll be able to afford both GokaiOh and ShinkenOh.
|
Question: how do you know which stage is good for you? Do you just learn the Stages, or are they explained in the instructions? Just wanted to know.

Act 4 is mostly for Figuarts and D-Arts. Act 5 is motsly for SRC and Robot Spirits. |
It's been a while since Bandai released Daizyujin and we have no updates about the next SRC. I hope to see ryuseioh or Dairenoh soneday this year.

I took loads more pics of this guy, but these are the only pseudo-lightbox ones. I can't get over how awesome this figure is (I don't have any other Figuarts to compare it to, but still...).

Unfortunately, once we do get the other rangers, I expect them to come with only a portion of the accessories Ryuu came with. I just hope they at least include their DairenRods as those were my favorite weapons in the series. I want to be able to have all five posed next to each other holding them against their bodies.

Alright, this may not be me showing off my stuff, but I hope to show off a new addition to my collection soon. So far, I'm loving the SRC line (and holding out for Gaoking and Abarenoh releases), though I only have Daizyujin and Magiking.
I'm wondering if I should pick Shinken-Oh or Gokai-Oh first. (I plan on getting all of them, including Dekaranger Robo, I just wanted to see which one of the two I should get first. Dekaranger Robo will come later.) |
It just depends I guess on what one you like more and can afford more.

I guess I'll pick Gokai Oh this time, though. It's kinda hard when I like all options presented to me. And it only gets better since there are gonna be a Magi Gokai-Oh, Shinken Gokai-Oh (or Shinken Gaokai-Oh, as I like to call it), Gekitouja and Daibouken releases...soon? I really don't know when they're supposed to come out. Anyway, here's a photo of Magiking and Daizyujin. http://www.tokunation.com/attachment...1&d=1391645700 |
Of the three I owned, DekaRobo was by far the best, Gokaioh was the most frustrating, and Shinkenoh was a decent toy, but nothing really stand out.
So I'd suggest getting Gokaioh first, then Shinkenoh, then DekaRobo. That way you'll always be getting something better than what you started with. Except with Gokaioh, which I found not all that great. |

I have all 5 SRCS and I think Daizyujin and Dekaranger Robo certainly the best and most accurately represents how mecha look in the show.
I really think it was a bit of a learning curve. While all are great figures, Gokaioh and Shinkenoh are a lot lankier then they should be, particularly Gokaioh and Magiking is awesome but very stylized, almost to Retrofire levels. Dekaranger Robo and Daizyujin are when they really got the idea merging the suits with highly articulated figures right. Gokaioh, Magiking and Dekaranger Robo are notable for having an absolutely awesome set of accessories though. |
Gokai-Oh and Shinken-Oh usually seem to be between 2000-2500Y on Mandarake at all times where as I have seen DRR go for more like 4000Y. Although, the DRR I bought was 3000Y. MagiKing seems to be the rarest of the group on there.

Some pics with my new Ninjastorm Red:

Clash of the Red Rangers: Ninja vs Samurai (hope to see this) http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/a...psa8224691.jpg http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/a...psdd925880.jpg Guardians of the Arts http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/a...psdd07102f.jpg http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/a...ps1ddd8538.jpg My Forever Red is coming along (slowly). Thanks for looking! Edit: What I meant earlier, was I had hoped to see Ninja Red vs Samurai Red in CotRR, but I'll take a shot at this in SMF, even if it's a small practicing scene. |

I did like the cannon full burst mode or whatever, and that DekaRobo includes a little PatStriker that could combine with Gokaioh, that was neat. But in the end, i didn't like it enough to keep. I also didn't really enjoy Gokaiger that much either, so maybe that contributed. But then again, I didn't enjoy DekaRanger much either, and SRC DekaRobo is a REALLY enjoyable figure. I never want to sell it. But you certainly may have different results than me, and that's fine. I hope you like it more than I did. Kinda wish I had kept the bonus sword swoosh effects from Gokaioh. |
