Yeah, there's some more pictures up here that show a few more angles of that scene. It's definitly Sengoku Driver-using Zangetsu, not any new kind of Zangetsu. Which means either the Gaim part of the movie war will be AU, or Takatora will come back to life/ be revealed to have survived his clash with Mituzane.

Ugh. I don't think I can handle another AU... But unless Takatora's driver somehow gets repaired, I don't see any other way he'd be able to use it again.

And I REALLY wish Ryoma would stop being lazy and design a new weapon to go with the new arms. The Sonic Arrow is completely played out.

So I found this on Tumblr it's part of the plot points from this Story of Kaito's background from the Real Riders magazine:

Kaito’s father was the only source of income his family had

After his company and land was brought out by Yggdrasill, his family put him in an orphanage cause they can’t afford to raise him.

Orphanage is near the shrine Mai’s family works/owns

Mai keeps asking Kaito to play with her but he was too shy

Kaito always watched her dance and believed that was the reason he had the strength to go on

Mai was the reason Kaito decided to form a dance team in rebellion to Yggdrasil

In high school, Kaito bumped into Kouta once and thought he was weak for apologizing instead of fighting him

Kaito kept declining adoption because he was waiting for his parents to come back to him

They never did so he lived in the orphanage until he was 16.

That was when he dropped out of school and formed a dance team.

He made a dance team because he heard that Mai’s family shrine was taken down and decided dancing would be the best way to pay tribute.

The Dance Teams used to dance in the Outer City Areas before being bribed by Yggdrasil to take place in the Inner Area with the Lockseeds.

Baron was one of the first to receive them.

Their first victory came from beating a team called Severe Beat.

Zack came from that team.

Peco used to be a classmate of Mai and was invited to Team Gaim but declined because he wanted to be top ranked.

Sounds like a awesome splice of life anime to me.

It could be a cool idea to have some novel, anime or something showing the lead up to the TV series.

If Ryoma comes back as a Cyborg then I wonder who rebuild him? Maybe Foundation X comes back as the main villains since we have the writer from W back. Another possible idea could be that Ryoma has team up with Roimulds in the film.

But in all seriousness, I'm really getting a forced suicide vibe from the latest episode. Mai was pretty much his world and with her gone he really doesn't have anything left. He's also kinda but not really yet sorta reason why she ended up dying, which I'd assume would make him feel tons of guilt that could worsen his depression. Once again it's probably just me but I'm seeing Micchy at the moment as somebody whose utterly depressed and seems like they've given up hope and don't care if they live or die. So I could honestly see him doing something that gets him killed on purpose.

Technically he is the reason she "died", he took her and hid her with Rushou, that backfired on him. He gave her the Apple. Then he took the unconscious Apple filled Mai to Ryouma, and left her there. Ryouma, the manipulative ass this whole series. Micchy thought HE could control the King of the Overlords and a guy as evil and twisted, if not more then he is, and it backfired on him. Hugely.

So yeah, he'll most likely lose it, more so, and just have this series end on like three main characters still alive. :lol

I honestly think Micchy will come back and try and redeem himself in more a sacrificial way, but if they want to go dark the suicide way would be something else. I am the more hoping for the sacrifice angle.

I guess he could change his form into the girl, or that locust.
Also there is another synopsis with Jam talking like a man.
Everything is possible.

Sounds like they will rehabilitate Micchy in the last episode a little bit, he becomes Ryugen again to fight Jam with some other Riders. Personally I don’t care who or what Jam is, it’s just a little obstacle for the Riders to face without Kouta, showing they can defend Zawame without the big orange-boss.

But if Kouta only appears in Micchy’s memories/head, why is he seen in Kiwami-Arms in the preview? It looked like they would fight together against Jam. Kinda like Dragonball Z maybe where Goku appeared briefly as a ghost to aid Gohan?

Also, am I the only one who saw Jonouchi donning Matsubokkuri Arms in the preview? Maybe he found out about Hase und uses the lockseed as a tribute to his former "partner"?

I see it more along the lines of Ankh at the end of OOO, where it's left fairly vague if he was actually there fighting alongside Eiji or not.

As much as I like Gridon, it's cool to see a "real" Kurokage back in action and it adds a little bit to Jonouchi's character that he uses the type of lockseed of his missing friend to honor him.

Looks like a vision/flashback, he stands in front of the big tree that was cut down by Yggdrasill.

I would be surprised if they didn’t do that :)
