You know, considering the advanced life span of tortoises in the real world, it must be kind of sad for a Pokemon like Blastoise or Torterra who forms a bond with their trainer.
It'd be like Hachiko, except they'd live over a hundred years longer than the dog.

Makes me wonder how much a Magneton would live, or a Geodude, I mean rocks and machines should last more than Turtles.

Not necessarily machines. Those break down mad quickly.
But the rocks are another story. Pokemon like Corsola and Shelder, as well.

I guess that would be the opposite case then, the Trainer would have to see it's pokemon die slowly.

Onyx will probably bury every single person in Brock's family.
