Its kind of hard to compare the differences between two entirely different figures, It's an apt metaphor they are both figuarts, generations apart, except the original kabuto should go in the trash, not a museum. You can get the original for dirt cheap, but it doesn't hold up and will look really out of place next to anything but the other old riders people can't sell because an SS was released.

Thanks. I guess my question now, is, is the first one worth the $20 I paid for it?

Now, I understand someone attempted to edge in on my game. To them I have this to say: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C4RXUlxUcAAqMoc.jpg Stay out of my territory. |
I'm happy with it. I guess in the end that's what matters most.

I am confused about the hate for earlier Figuarts. Ok, so the SS figures are arguably better. The earlier figures are still Figuarts which are loads better than anything Hasbro puts out.
So they may not be the hottest newest thing. They may not be as accurate as a SS. There's STILL plenty of figures they look great with, and they still outnumber the SS line. So, my "old" Kabuto fits in with the older figures. They outnumber the new figures three to one. Are you gonna hate on the older figures who don't yet have an SS, or may never get one? It just doesn't make sense. The old Kabuto is a great figure. It might have been outclassed by the new one, but it still outclasses almost every other 6" figure on the market, EXCEPT the new one. |
