Red Buster is still loads better than anything Hasbro put out. But that doesn't mean that Red Buster isn't a HUGE disappointment compared to any other Sentai Figuart.

No, but there's a difference between an old figure and an old figure that's scrawny and suffers from noticeable bow legged-ness. THAT's the issue with the old Kabuto Figuart, it hasn't stood the test of time like many other Figuarts do and a newer one has only served to highlight those flaws even more.

As above. But hey, if you're happy with the figure that's all that matters.

It's not hatred. I don't know of anyone actually regarding the older versions with contempt. It's just that times have changed, technology has advanced, and some of us prefer the more modern, more accurate, more robust version over the older one.

And it makes perfect sense. We all have our own preferences. You find the old Kabuto to be suitable, and that's good, for you. Personally, I never thought for a second to add any of the pre-Ryuki SHFs to my collection because their engineering is so outdated that it'd be an eyesore, especially alongside modern figures like Blade, Gaim, and Drive. "Better than everyone else" doesn't mean much for people who want better than that- and that's what SS is. It's the creme de la creme.

I'll put it this way: the only pre-SS Kabuto figures I have are Hyper Kabuto and Sasword. Hyper Kabuto does not even belong in the same universe as the new S.S. Kabuto, even though Hyper Kabuto itself isn't a bad figure. Sasword is more or less serviceable next to the new ones.


But I'd take new versions of either of those figures in a heartbeat.....once they release TheBee, of course.

Still wondering if they're gonna make the bikes for ZO and J. I mean, they've been making them for every other Showa Rider so far.

Well J has a set "bike" hands, so I wouldn't rule it out.
