Scalpers, man. They just suck all the fun out of the hobby.

It's not even scalpers, it's just how this line goes when it comes to a popular franchise or series. Ultramen always sell out immediately. SS Riders always sell out immediately. DBZ characters always sell out immediately.

THIS SH*T RIGHT HERE… I know of several dealers grabbing way more of these than regular folks.. regardless of the popularity of a character or demand, they just scalp it up on the aftermarket

Yeah I kinda have to think it’s scalpers at this point. Popularity can only account for so much; when it’s this consistent, scalpers have gotten worse with bots and these always end up on some ebay page for $200… I’m sorry but this is scalping companies

Out of curiosity I ran an api check via buyfriend a while back on some Rider SHF or other that was going up for preorder... If I have my numbers remembered right they only had about 150 pieces available, so it's not just scalpers and Amiami's ancient servers, Bandai also really underproduces a lot of stuff.

Remember when Base Form Ultraman Z was a retail release but also had limited numbers? Trust me, scalpers aren't the definitive answer.

It’s probably due to every retailer only getting a certain amount and that amount just sells out way too fast. What I don’t understand is why Tamashii isn’t increasing stock to test out the demand. Because I’m pretty sure they could sell more if they wanted to. Although they might be content with the numbers at current, plus, production also has their limit.

For me that's alright, I always end up getting what I really want but the amount of hoops I need to jump through increased way too much over the years, so "might as well"-pickups really don’t exist anymore. I either need to go into pre-orders ready for war or don’t try at all.

On the positive side that means less spending, on the negative, collecting these figures has become a chore sometimes which definitely dampens the enjoyment this hobby should bring.

Oh, this is probably obvious to some of you; but Ultimate Shining Ultraman Zero can actually detach his Aegis Armour so it acts exactly like the previously release -- and it even still comes with the parts for X to use it! It's unfortunately low on accessories otherwise (just hands and colour timer), but it's nice that this essentially acts as a re-issue of both Shining and Aegis. Though both of them are in shinier colours than before, making the Aegis wearers even better!

Oh, and a quick little comparison of Shining to its original release. Personally I think this one looks a little better with the metallic paint, but the difference is something you wouldn't see if they weren't side by side

Not quite pleased with the results, looks more like the action prop than the actual Haouken :lol, but I guess it'll do till(or if) we get a proper Haouken from a Xross Saber SHF.

Thou, I wouldn't mind grabbing the ones that come from a gashapon set if we ever get it.

Some may notice that the Brave Dragon head is ALOT more glossier than the rest of his body, that's cuz I used the leftover red paint I had from building Kuuga on it. Tho, in person, it barely looked any different than how it was back then.

Would you guys like to see Xross Saber's figuarts to incorporate form changes? Prob not possible now because I don't think the Saber figuarts are designed to be taken apart.

If and when Saber gets the renewal treatment it'll most likely in corporate that gimmick

If SO-DO and RKF can't even get Saber form changes down properly, there's no way in fuck that Figuarts ever will.

Saber has a neat gimmick all in all, but there's just so many big AND small changes throughout the different forms that would make it very difficult IMO. All 3 of Xross Saber's forms share so little in common(in terms of mold) that I can't even imagine why or how they'd have it form change. Buster, Kenzan, and Slash basically just have sleeve changes for their auxiliary forms but they're just intricate enough with small details that they can't even replicate that in Figuarts, either.

The hard part of SO-DO's form changes - the different face plates, would be the easiest gimmick to replicate in Figuarts since we've seen it already in stuff like Hazard Build and Metal Build, but that's about it. We've seen OOOs Figuarts releases split apart 3 ways but doing the same thing horizontally is not something I can imagine engineers figuring out within the next 2 decades. I'd be more likely to survive holding my breath for multiple Xross Saber releases.

And with the price of Figuarts nowadays(Hyper Muteki was 78 USD before shipping and middleman expenses) I am scared to see how costly a 3-in-1 final form would be.

Yeah, it's gonna be tough to have Xross Saber form change considering his arm changes as well, and we didn't see that kind of gimmick with Buster. Also, yes the price is going to be very expensive since it'll incorporate two more forms.

I think we'll just see Xross Saber and then they'll stop it at that. IF Xross Saber even happens, because despite Grand ZI-O and Muteki, the track record for final forms is still up in the air.

Of course, it's possible for them to do Featuring Saber as well, since they already have mold too. And I doubt we're going to see post-Drive renewals and even if we do, no way would they make Saber's form change gimmick.

Final Forms happen just fine. The only series they haven't happened for are ones that are still ongoing, with the only exception being Ghost

If this is a set-up for saying Cross-Z Build, Ohma Form and Realizing Hopper are the final forms, then I am placing a minor curse on you.

What I meant is they're still ongoing in SHF. Zero-One and Saber are of course not finished, and with NinninComic it's clear that Build is still ongoing as well. Outside of those three, the only non-Seihou Final Form not yet released is Mugen.

I think you need to chill out a little when talking about Kamen Rider toys.

I think you should probably start to, considering every time your responses get aggressive and rude it causes discourse. This hobby and these series are meant to be fun and boards like this are for civil discussion, criticism, etc.

But I still agree. SHF is inconsistent in its releases. NinninComic being an actual thing at all, Pegasus/Dragon/Growing/Titan getting releases out of nowhere, Sagohzo originally slated for February 2021 release but relegated to even further, or some other examples I'll forget to mention.

So, I can make the argument that it's still possible for Ghost's SHF line to be ongoing in a sense. It's still possible for Yuujou Burst, Sin Specter, and Kanon Specter to get releases, Tsukuyomi and/or Geiz Majesty to get releases however little it may be. I mean, hey, the Gaim line got revived for K.Durian/Lychee and Drive's for Brain.

The only thing I was saying here is that Mugen aside, the only Final Forms not yet released are ones whose SHF lines are still not finished. I have no doubt we'll see Genius, 02 and Xross Saber; that's my only point

Hopefully we'll get releases soon. Still shocked we got Grand Zi-O! Though it's a good point, SHF see Build as still ripe for more figures, so what else do we think is a reasonable release at this point?

For Build specifically? I am starting to wonder if we might actually see Blood and Killbas. It made sense to me before that there wouldn't be enough demand for them to happen, but... if we're getting NinninComic, then maybe so!

This month, Kuuga, OOO SaGoZo, Buster + Metsubojinrai is coming soon.

And those are just the ones I remember, there may be more. That’s quite a lot, but spread out over so many different Rider shows it might not interest you at all if you like none of these.
