And well He's pretty nice that backpack is a bit heavy, so I kinda have to balance it out with his upgraded shield, I would also like to use his sniper life but considering his whole backpack deal I have to settle with his normal beam rifle for now.

So after weeks of waiting. I decided to marathon the current 6 episodes of BFTry today. Oh my god. THIS SHOW IS AMAZING!!! So many G Gundam references my heart is gonna explode!

So... am I the only one here who legit likes the Cosmic Era? :o

I've seen jack shit from it, so I don't have an opinion. Only stuff I've seen is UC, AC, and AW.

SEED? Eh. Destiny is a sweet ass design, but as for the rest of it, I like it as much as I do everything but G. :lol

I've only seen 00, Wing, G and Unicorn, the designs of the Gundams in the later series never really strikes me as much well at least for the main characters mobile suits.

I like the Astray mangas,the Seed compilations and the parts of Destiny that don't feature Seed's cast.

Cosmic Era catches a lot of flack, but it isn't horrible unwatchable stuff like internet hyperbole would have you believe.

SEED is what really pushed me into the Gundam rabbit hole, I remember watching it on YTV's Friday night anime block so it has a special place in my heart.

From what I remember though, there's a lot of soap opera/angst involved wasn't there?

Still the Astrays and Freedom remain some of my favrioute MSes.

SEED/Destiny/Astray produced some of my favorite MS designs of all time. The series however, I'm not so much a fan of (Astray aside). SEED was alright and a decent retelling of the original series, but Destiny had... a LOT of issues.

But dear god is the Destiny itself one of my most beloved Gundams. The whole "Angel of Vengeance" motif just kicks so much ass.

Based on what I've seen/read of Astray….I feel like that should've been our main story line over what we've got.

It helps that it was created to fill in the plot holes in the main series.

That it has better and more consistent characterization, that's another matter entirely. I really need to track it down some time and give it another read.

Right? So glad I decided to find the HG version of it. I'll be getting the MG version too, but I need me some Winning after this episode.

Sometimes I'm shocked when I find out most people despise the SEED universe. I love it. Anime/Manga & everything else. I feel that aside from UC continuity it's easily the most fleshed out universe we've ever gotten. I really enjoyed SEED, and I actually like Destiny more. If that makes me crazy then so be it. The only animated foray into that universe I didn't much care for was Stargazer.

Yes. Very much so actually. I like the circumstances of the series a bit more. It feels like a more sprawling comprehensive story and war than SEED. And I really enjoy how the new characters get sidelined for the old cast, no that isn't sarcasm either. I truly enjoy most everything Destiny had to offer.

I can see that. The first series just had too much soap operay drama, not to mention that Kira kinda sucks. Could not stand his whinning and crying, you're in war for crying out loud grow a pair!

Seed is one of those rare instenses where I think I prefer the dub over the sub.

That's the worst part for me.

Oh we definitely disagree. Shin is the most worthless character in either series. Couldn't stand him. Which is again why I love it when the new cast takes a back seat to the cast that matters. Though I agree that I hate how the Cagalli/Athrun relationship ended.

Shinn making Kira his bitch in the Impulse was the highlight of the series for me little prick should have stayed dead.*grumbles*

Also Meer was better then Lacus who was as flat as cardboard.

Considering the SEED Universe is made up of two huge wars with tons of room for side stories that's not really a surprise.

But considering my favorite series, 00 has some shitty expanded universe stuff of trying to pointlessly expand upon a very self contained conflict in the show( minus the major gap 00p covers) I can't really say anything.

00 is a great show as well that I've seen a fair amount of distaste for over the years. People tend to like Season 1 but not 2 most often. But I enjoyed the show as a whole.

I'll agree that trying to fill in the background with side stories for 00 didn't quite work out though. There's some interesting stuff going on, but it's tough to believe some of the background battles even occurred given the shows pretty explicit history.

Oh right, that crap. Is it any wonder Shinn ended up the way he did with Athrun's superb job at mentoring the hot head?

Well looks I caught the gundam bug cause now I'm watching G Gundam. I like it and am seriously considering getting a shining gundam set.

Make sure to buy a Nobell Gundam.

I love 00 so much. Hell I even love the movie so much, no matter how much people step on me for it because I think it is amazing.

I agree all of the 00 sidestories are pointless. The only one I kind of liked is 00p.I'd love to see an animated OVA series that would serve as a prequel to 00. Not exactly following 00p because there is some stupid things in that story, but just to see how the pieces for my favorite series fell into place.

Now the 00 Movie, man even I have a tough time loving that one :lol But that's mostly because the ending sort of tanked what had come before it.

Pretty bad, I've been AWOL on Gundam for such a long time. I finished Unicorn about 2 months ago, and I bought the model kit after I finished it, I then finished Build Fighters in 2 days and soon after started on Build Fighters Try, and I bought Build Burnin Gundam, and I'm planning to buy Kampfet and Dark matter Exia... I want a whole gunpla shelf :lol

I also have Winning Gundam on pre-order too

If it makes you feel better, I have to wait till Monday for my Fenice to get here.
