Yeah, I'd kind of like to get some of those cards or figures from those lines, like Hyper Zetton Deathscythe. Though I don't own any of the transformation devices anyway, so I shouldn't be too disappointed.

I suppose I should say that I’ve started watching Ultraman Dyna.

Overall, I’m more engaged with the first episode than I have been with most pre-Mebius shows (Seven, Taro and Leo being my major exceptions). I kind of like that Asuka has to live up to two legacies (that of his father and that of Tiga), which makes him pop off the page more than the fairly standard Ultra heroes I see.

I didn't think much about Tsupro's recent weekly re-uploads of Ultraman Z - aside from, well, awesome - but I just found out that, uh, they're not going away after 2 weeks. They're just straight up keeping all Ultraman Z episodes on the channel

Yeah, given they also specified it's specifically for foreign fans when this first started and I think the only people blocked from viewing are Japanese fans, this might be our definitive way to watch Ultraman Z online fully.

Gotta give Tsuburaya's re-airing of Ultraman Z cause I've been catching it weekly as a way to introduce myself into Ultraman proper after constantly falling off watching Geed from start to finish.

Not that I wasn't enjoying Geed, I like Geed enough to own the Figuart. I just kept finding myself falling off of it despite how much I was liking it.

In Z's case, watching it weekly's been great since I missed the boat when it was still airing. Plus since I'm watching Kamen Rider and Sentai weekly already, may as well finish the trifecta. Only real thing that worries me about getting into Ultraman now is the potential rabbit hole it could open for me collectible-wise since now I want a Z to go with my Geed...and Zero to go with both of them.

I only just realized that SHOUT! uploaded Ace everywhere SHOUT! streams, including Tubi!

Two new collections from Mill Creek one for Mega Monster Battle and one for Zero

This is really cool because it's basically Mill Creek's most 'obscure' thing yet! Mega Monster Battle isn't really a 'main' series like everything else they've covered so far (Orb Origin saga aside), so even though it does have Zero's first movie at the end; it's really nice to see this lesser-known part of the Ultraverse get a whole Blu-Ray release with official subs and everything. It's kind of awesome!

So. Fun little fact about these blu-rays?

This gave me a chance to check out some other Ultraman season pilots.

Geed is... really interesting to me. It wasn't that much longer than other pilots, but it... somehow felt longer? Like, everything felt more thought out and slow, delving more into the world than just making sure the season's Ultraman got to show their face.

And the mystery has already sucked me in.

This shouldn't affect their availability on TokuShoutsu/Tubi, right? I wonder if Gaia, Ginga, and Nexus will get added there.

Mixed feelings about them leaving. The big thing of course is that it's one less option to watch these shows... and your ONLY option outside of North America and Canada unless you import the DVDs/Blu-Rays and a region-specific media player.

On the other hand, boy I won't miss the quality of those subs, and 4/6 of them have official, far superior subs now anyhow.

Everything about this is fantastic. I love it!

Did you find Crunchyroll's subs for X, Orb, and Geed bad? Because I recall actually having a pretty high opinion of their quality, even if it's admittedly been a while since I've seen them. The difference between an episode of Orb on that site and an episode of Ginga is pretty much night and day, as I remember it. It's kinda part of the reason it was so frustrating for me that the bad ones were that bad.

With this, there are no longer any Ultraman shows on Crunchyroll. I saw all of them a few years back and after Geed, they didn't have R/B, so I stopped. Heck, I haven't gone back to Crunchyroll in a long time, since the ads ended up breaking my computer.

Also, I kind of want a new Ultra Galaxy style show from Tsuburaya now.

I'm watching Gaia right now and...the subs could definitely use some work.

Y'know, I've seen a lot of insane things in Toku. I've seen a time-traveling train full of bickering monsters; I've seen entire Sentai teams turned into bowling pins; I've even seen the entirety of Ultra Q!

But I don't think I've had my suspension of disbelief so challenged, so driven utterly mad; as this Gridman episode telling me that this chunk of metal is a popular all-the-rage pillow

I've always felt sad about this too.

Got my copy of the Taro set in today and watched the first episode. Oh man, they went all-in on the crazy aesthetic for ZAT's equipment. I'm not sure what's worse: the helmets, the aerodynamics-defying jets, or the ridiculous souped-up mail truck that they have. I'm not sure if it's so bad that it's good or just bad.

Either way, I did like the show's protagonist and will definitely get around to more of this show at some point.
