I never really got to have that connection to the minor characters since getting ahold of comics where I lived as a kid was extremely difficult. So my exposure was mostly to the big name characters that had their own cartoons or movies. |
Mark Waid just announced on twitter that he finished his 58th and with this last script for Daredevil.

Previews for Octobers All New All Different line up has been leaked.

There is alot in there I like and alot I´m pretty meh about. I would have liked to see someone new on Guardians since I dont like the direction Bendis took that book. Greg Land on Uncanny X-Men also isnt my cup of tea. I hate that guys art.
And just something personal but now that we have Spider-Man a book with Miles and Peter in it thats set in the main Universe I dont really see a reason to keep reading Amazing Spider-Man. |

What I'm really interested in is Spiderman 2099, the new suit look snazzy. |
Quote:
The suit is all kinds of crazy. Liking that they are taking him back to the future. At least thats what it looks like. |
Carnage sounds good, but Venom is still meh, I have no interest in this. Can we get some classic Symbiote Anti-Hero again please? What is Brock/Toxin doing all this time?
And am I getting this right: They promote X-32 to Wolverine and Star-Lord is a girl now too? I have nothing against comics featuring lead woman but the re-branding to appeal towards woman is really annoying. At least give them new costumes and names, geez... so lazy. This "All-New, All Different"-thing is pathetic enough as is. |

The X-23 becomes Wolverine thing is something I dont mind either. X-23 is pretty much seen as Logans daughter so I totally buy her taking up the mantle of Wolverine to honor her "fathers" legacy after his death. |

I'll always take more Anya and Old Man Logan. Other than that, I hope Scarlet Witch is a cool book. The hell is up with Jess though? Quote:

Over 20 books that existed pre-Secret Wars. |

But a superheroine with a family. Yay! And it's Spider-Woman. Yay! |

Also, super powers or not, fighting crime like that seems like a baaaaaad idea. |
So is Spidey's marriage restored?
|
Quote:
So I take it these four are raised by a single father? |

Quote:
But that's a good question, I don't know their parents. |
Quote:
Eh. I'm sure she found a way around it. Jessica's smart. Quote:

Upon further research I realize that I for some reason thought they were the kids of Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman (hence me bringing them up), probably because the Power Pack have Franklin Richards, Reed Richards and Sue Storm, as an honorary member But yeah, superhero mommies ain't new. http://zak-site.com/Great-American-N...anlkin_303.jpg |

Oh well, she must be almost due, or the baby was already born and the cover is just for advertisement reasons. Quote:
Both teams have always been closely related. Ahh, Reed, you suck at humans. |

No, she's definitely still pregnant. It's an eight-month time skip, and as of Issue #8, she hasn't really had that kind of... Alone time with anyone. Yep. Especially in recent years when Alex Power joined the Future Foundation. |

And it could very well be a couple kept secret from the readers. But it was just a random idea. |

They can. But seven-months is a bit much. That is true. And it may very well change in the coming issues. But as it stands, I don't think she's had time yet. That it was. |
Spideys marriage has not been restored. This was always meant to be a one of thing for Secret Wars.
In regards to the Spider-Woman thing the cover is definitely a exaggeration of her status quo as a pregnant superhero. And yeah being pregnant and fighting crime is not healthy for Jessica or her Child and thats more than likely what the first arc is going to be about. |
Quote:
Heck, get the Home Alone and Goonies creators to make it while at it. |
Pregnant super-heroine named Jessica. Wait a minute...
http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2...e_Vol_1_14.jpg Oy. Let's hope there isn’t another "They killed my baby"-moment, because that's the biggest cliche you can pull in this situation. |

No I mean the way they handled it in Pulse. Mom has a “They killed my baby!”-moment and beats the shit out of Osborn but later the Doc tells her everything's fine because Super-Vagina.
But yeah, miscarriage is a lame plot device. If you decide to develop the character with pregnancy they should handle this properly and show the character adjusting to parenthood. There are some hero-moms, but no single hero-moms. Would be cool if they give us that and don’t ruin it. |
Yeah Single Mom Superhero would be pretty dope to have. Only future will tell how this is going to develop but I´m pretty optimistic that it wont end horribly.
Marvel developed more and more into a company that wants everyone to be able to read their books. And I like that Comics are going back to that. Sure its clunky here and there but overall I quite enjoy what they are doing. Its a time where I cant see things like Ultimatum happening ever again with violence just for violences sake and unnecessary character deaths. |

Reminds me I still have to watch the first season.

Do it. |

I saw the first episode and really dug it but never got around to watching the rest. |

We watched the first 10 episodes to the second season of Shield today and it is great. So far, it is already better than Arrow's third season. I really love what they are doing with what I am going to assume are the Inhumans plot with the Diviner. Really great stuff going on and both Hunter and Bobby are pretty awesome. I do wish we would see some damn costumed superheroes now though, since the main characters have been established, but whatever, that is not the purpose of this show. I can't wait until we get to watch more of it.

has anyone else checked out the first 45 #1 issues of the All-New All-Different Marvel that's going to be released in October? Which ones will you decide to read?
Personally, my ones are: All-New All-Different Avengers, All-New Hawkeye, Amazing Spider-Man, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Drax, Guardians of the Galaxy, Invincible Iron Man, New Avengers, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man, Venom: Space Knight, and Web Warriors. |
