For anyone viewing this thread, it's an APPRECIATION thread. In other words the users who created and post in this thread appreciate the series and by extension the franchise itself. Even if you preface a post with something like "I don't want to start a flame war" you're clearly going to. Don't drop into this thread, or any other, with the intention of baiting people like that.

On the flip side, should someone drop in and try to start anything like that I would hope that everyone here is respectful enough to not let it spiral out of control. So people don't sink to that level, okay?

Pony talk is meant for this thread, and this thread alone, but people flame-baiting/openly hating in an unprovoked manner will not be tolerated no matter the topic. Threads are for critical discussion of the topic, not outright hatred. If someone dropped into the SHF thread and said something like "figuarts are awful, expensive, and I like my BOA toys better. Here's 6 paragraphs about how stupid SHF's are" then that too would be deleted. Keep it civil and respect each others opinions people.

Okay, moving away from this little bit of excitement. Let's get back to what we all love with my 7th favorite episode!

Number 7: A Dog and Pony Show

A Dog and Pony Show is the nineteenth episode of season one. In this episode, Rarity is searching for a new load of gems with Spike's assistance. However, when a group of creatures called the Diamond Dogs abduct Rarity, Spike and the other ponies head underground to rescue her.

Alright, this is it, the indoctrination episode... Well for me at least. I mean I was a fan of the show before, but this episode made me a fanatic! Much like how Sisterhooves Social changed my opinion of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, A Dog and Pony Show made me love the show to death, and the fair lady Rarity. I would have to say that she is at her best in this episode as she is complete control of her situation she's in and does it in probably the most hilarious ways ever.

I know that there are a few who don't really care for Rarity and if this that's the case, I'd say give this episode another watch. If your opinion of her still hasn't changed then there's nothing I can do but I will say that you'll at least enjoy a damn good episode.
