Suit looks good. It's probably missing a whole lot of visual effects. The whole thing would look cool if it had a crystalline/glowing effect.

Okay, I'm liking the space colors and stars, but do you SEE that ten rider lineup!? That is EXACTLY what I've been hoping for this whole time. Now we just wait and see where the Espada-Calibur situation goes.

Also, I noticed that Charybdis Megid fighting Blades and (Cross) Saber in the corner there, so that's finally going to be important again.

If Cross Saber really is Touma's final form then they must have totally blown the suit production budget on Blades' final form.

Honestly I don’t see an issue with this Cross Saber being the final form...I just wish it had something a little more...extra I guess. Maybe Emotional Dragon should have been the final form as I find that it’s a better enhancement from Brave Dragon while this is just a color palette swap but who knows...maybe there is more to it then what we are seeing from the scans.

That’s what I heard as well but it seems like it was just a rumor...or hear me out in this but what if there is a new WRB that goes with the new sword and Tina will find that later in the series?

The ten vs 1 gar line up is cool but saber didn’t earn it like say gaim or ryukik. The series had too many character to balance and missed out dekevip their bond . Just expect audience to believe they’re amazing friends brotherhood now like build + cross cast even zio + geiz is better.

Last year i dissapointed because Zero Two is similiar to Zero Rising Hopper but after seeing this,repaint again??

The new Seiken looks fucking sick, even if it doesn't really scream final form weapon to me. Beyond that, there are so many strange things about this.

Almost every other final form we've gotten has taken the show's gimmick to the next level(or at least not go back to square one) - the Genius FullBottle being this giant bottle that takes up both slots on the Buildriver, the Kiwami Lockseed being completely unique in every way possible(on top of the fact it literally compliments the Kachidoki Lockseed), and the Hyper Muteki Gashat speaks for itself. Zero-Two looked very simple, but personally, you can sell me on it for the Zero-Two Driver alone(then again, in-series the Progrise Key itself isn't that unique) Stuff like that is what screams "final form" to me, which I feel is pretty important considering we have more than one Seiken Swordriver user. I would have expected an adapter if he was still going to use Brave Dragon.

The glowing hand that Saber has going on looks to be part of the suit design, which is pretty weird to me, too. I dunno, it's a bit jarring that this is the second year in a row where people are just like, "are we sure this isn't a part of a side/special material?". I hate to call it a repaint, but surely every single soul that watches Saber expected more. I'm all for simple designs, which I guess this technically is, but still.

I don't hate it. I don't love it. I loved Zero-Two because of the Nigo homages. Zero-Two being simple made sense to me because in-universe, Zero-Two is a new Rider with a new Driver. I think that's what they're going for here, as well. Cross Saber has a new Seiken, and new Seiken in the Saber universe also means new Rider. With Zero-Two, I was hoping for another gimmick or some kind of extra form change, but I still loved what we got. With Cross Saber, I'm a bit apprehensive at the high possibility that this is all we're getting.

I wonder - if in-universe, Rekka transforms into this new Seiken, how does Touma become Saber Brave Dragon again? I guess it just gains the ability to switch back and forth.

I really hate to say it, but this reminds me of Fresh Orange Arms. I want to hope that we'll see other WRBs being used with this new Seiken, but considering that this form will probably debut with 10-11 episodes left at best, I'm not holding my breath.

I think it avoided just the right pitfalls that made me dislike Zero-two so much.

A different color scheme, even with a few more detailed things like stars. It stands out from other Saber forms simply for its color. And it's not so top-heavy, but that's a freebie given it's Brave Dragon 2 :D

Come to think of it, not a single Seiken has been sold without a WRB. Knowing that, I'm willing to hold my breath for a new WRB. Maybe this is introduced since the new Seiken can't just revert to Rekka, so Saber needs a new base form.

I don't really get the comparisons between Cross Saber and Zero Two when the latter took the idea of the "Enhanced Base Form" and did it 100% right, imo.

Base design, slightly updated and streamlined to give it its own feel and uniqueness. Like you can't look at Zero One and Zero Two and go "This one's just a repaint" like you can with Saber and Cross Saber.

All that said, the only context we have for the form are scans. So I'll wait to see what it can really do once it hits the screen.

I am really curious to see if we'll get a book for this too since yeah usually books and Seiken's are paired up.

Instead this is just a Seiken using prior books, so of course it wouldn't look entirely different. Really curious to see if we'll bring back older Wonder Combo's via this form too if we don't get a Final Book.

Cross Saber's seiken is Haohken Jyusaber(刃王剣十聖刃) which translates to Blade King Sword Ten Holy Blades. Typically the Haoh is written as 覇王 which means ruling king but given that this is a show with an emphasis on swords makes sense that it uses 刃 instead of 覇 so nice wordplay there. The name Jyusaber I guess means this could be sorta a cosmic states affair where everyone's powers unite to form this maybe? Just a guess until we actually see it in action or we get better quality scans. So in short this is the seiken to rule all seikens. It's the king of all seikens. Also just realized Jyusaber maybe a reference to Ten of Swords from the Tarot Cards.

My joke theory that Toei is making Saber specifically for me has ended up getting way more mileage than it has any right to. These things just keep happening! :p

I still wish Saber's final form was something like Agito Shining, not too much like Wizard's Infinity Style.

Maybe add a touch of Ryuki Survive if ever.

That said, I love this repaint. I am waiting for a higher res pic in case they do have some intricate details but until then, I am fine with a blue repaint. Heck, the OG double riders were repaints.

Is Saber’s form star themed because of Luna, because her name is Luna? Seemed like they missed on the opportunity to have it take power from all the Seiken.

Also, I didn’t notice earlier, but the guard on his new sword seems to be able to move up the blade. We haven’t seen that since Kiva’s Zanvat Sword.

I was thinking that too because of the circle sections on the blade but a part of me thinks no as well cause it feels like a easy facelift at the most for Rekka.

I can't really make out the Wonder Ride Book Touma's holding in the right side of the scan but I think it's Brave Dragon? Does this mean Cross Saber is just Brave Dragon being used by a new sword? Is that why Cross Saber is a repaint?

If the rumors that we'll be getting 50 episodes is true, I think that it's entirely possible we'll get an entirely new WRB later and Cross Saber will serve as the new base form for that.

Here are my actual thoughts lol:

Progression-wise to how Saber's forms look, this is like walking on the stairs and then jumping towards another one. It's wholly different. But, it makes sense for Touma's character for it to be like this. His whole schtick was about the sword, not the book. His arc in Q2 on how he was to rely less on his books and more about his swordsmanship, this culminates on that. Using a new sword, but he goes back to square one.

In short, not my favorite final form, but it's one I can love for what it's supposed to be.

Yeah, this just makes sense. Toy-wise it makes sense, too. No other Seiken is sold without a new WRB. Final form weapons are already hard sells to the point of breaking tradition - how and why would they be able to sell this new Seiken without a new WRB, at least?

New Seiken means new base form. It makes sense to me that Saber's final form would require some kind of transitionary form - cause how would he go back to Saber Brave Dragon now that Rekka is a new, different sword?
