Honestly it always drove me crazy how lanky and skinny SH Figuarts Zero-One Rising Hopper is, but I could never really complain since it was so cheap.

So, the SS tiga incorporates some gears within the torso to make sure that the arms don't pop back in to place when you bend it forward.

Guys, rubber torsos have never been a good idea, and I am so sorry that Tamashii decided to try it out on the first Seihou of what seems to be a really popular Ultra.

He’s the equivalent to Kuuga in popularity, prominence, starting a new era; he won a big award only otherwise given to Z, Kuuga and Dekaranger; the style of storytelling was for Toku so new that it influenced not just Ultraman going forward but Tokusatsu in general… so yeah, you could say that! It’s probably one of the most popular and influential Tokusatsu shows of all time

I mean yeah that's certainly a factor, but at the same time rubber parts not only degrade over time, but also tend to look uglier than joints ever do whenever said rubber is articulated, so it still confuses me.

Yeah, it SUPER sucks. Fortunately like Kuuga though a lot of the iconic poses you’d want to have him in have him standing straight up, or knees bent a little at most

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the rubber joints at all. They're just objectively worse.


Especially on Black, I believe the rubber part is only in the armpit area, so whatever aesthetic benefit it provides is minimal at best....at the cost of functionality.

What times does Figuarts Rising Hopper 50th version go up for sale on amiami this coming Monday?

Thinking of setting alarm just for it even though likely it will sold out again in instant just like Kuuga and Ichigo. Do you guys know any other websites I could get it close to retail price if I missed out?

I feel bad for saying this, but maybe there's a silver lining to the Tiga issues happening with such a popular character. Hopefully Bandai gets a very clear message not to take this kind of unnecessary risk again.

Well in an ideal world they'd release it and offer a replacement free of charge to those who already bought this F-35 of a figure. But that's even less likely to happen than what I initially suggested.

There are always other chances. I recall Zero, Geed, and Z getting reissues the year after Alpha Edge was released, so there's always a possibility.

They're kind of stealth reissues though, so you might want to take a look at twitter pages like Figsoku and Tokusatutoys often, and also HLJ to get updated.

At the very least it means they’re easier to find on the aftermarket. Z was also particularly popular so Trigger may end up cheaper

Wait, you have to swap out the entire forearm for the beam effect? Come on. Literally every other Ultra has it attached to the hand; you simply line it up with the forearm. Works perfectly fine, and you only pull apart a ball joint connection instead of putting stress on the elbow.

I'm watching a video review right now and this is how he looks after the guy's taken him out the box for the first time and messed with him for a bit... I can personally deal with some paint scuffs especially when I'm not gonna be changing his pose much or anything but this really is unacceptable
