Like Black had issues but after a few initial reports and warnings it was relatively contained. I've seen like twice the number of issue reports with Tiga.

I mean if you're doing that cause of these new SS releases I wouldn't worry about any QC issues like these. The mold's no different from the original sans the paintjob and OG Ichigou had no issues I could think of.

The new version is definitely different but I feel the lighting's making it look more different than it actually is. To me it looks like a case of where you wouldn't really notice the difference unless you had both in hand, or you're an extreme stickler for OG Kamen Rider. I'd stick with your pre-order

I cancelled an order by emailing them when I first signed up because I SWEAR they had in their terms or faq somewhere that you could if it wasn't paid for yet, which that one wasn't. Got a short reply saying they will since I was new to them but never again because it's not something they offer. Despite.. their terms saying you can..

So apparently no, but can always just try emailing anyway and explaining the reason.

I can totally understand people abandon ship with Shadow Moon after both Black and Tiga have issues, but I'm still looking forward to it. The replacement "pants" are reassuring so the only rubber part that could potentially tear is the shoulder covers.

I hope them being a simple black material and not layered in paint like the ones on Black helps, or that they can improve the composition of the substance used in time, as unrealistic as it is. Either way I will not stress it too much, and hope they stop doing rubber parts altogether.

So I dodged a bullet by missing out on Tiga? On the other hand considering that OOO has been out for 2 years, makes me worry if the issues will persists on future Seihous.

I'm not worried about them sold out, mass releases tend to be easily available, however the prices are jacked up. AlphaEdge and Taiga costs nearly $60.

I believe SS Den-O also has that swivel at the elbow joint, but we never really saw anyone report any breakages on that one

I think the OOO breakage had more to do with the forearm swapping and since Den-O doesn't have that gimmick the elbows are relatively safe from breaking.

Yeah. The arm swapping gimmick is something only TaToBa, RaToraTah and Tiga have with this type of joint so Den-O's could be as weak, though it's not something you'd really see any reports of because you're not pulling hard on it to repeatedly replace a part. In theory this joint could be just fine if it doesn't have an arm swapping gimmick

Granted, I don't recall seeing any reports on RaToraTah...

Yeah, re-issues of PB SHFs just... don't happen, unfortunately. The one exception is when the initial pre-order window runs out way quicker than expected, like with Z Gamma Future -- but that's essentially providing more stock to said initial pre-order window.

And the one time they made a big deal about reissuing a PB exclusive, it was only one out of the entire catalog...That being Ohma Zi-O who should be out this month.

Well the Calibur suit has been worn by 4 different users now! Maybe they'll re-release with a slight body change?

Speaking of joints, my Ginga has serious QC issues in that the left bicep was actually a copy of the right bicep because the pattern is all wrong and the joints do not fit when I try to correct it, and the saddest thing is that the joint broke.

I'd glue but I really hate using glue. Even my X's joints are broken and I'm considering buying a bootleg version (for a very long time since the last two years) just to replace the arm.

So, this guy, top coated his SS tiga in an effort to try and prevent the paint from chipping. Hasn't posted results, but I figured we should keep an eye.

He used a Mr. Hobby matte clear for this one. I have my own top coat too, so...

That sucks you have to replace the arm, but I'd say to just get any other cheap SHF and just grab that one's joints instead of looking for a bootleg version. Maybe a Best Selection Ultraman.

Bootleg joints, especially if the "manufacturer" goes by a "Legend Creation" are awful, gummy, and would break easy.

admittedly, my dragonic knight's got a weird shoulder spot thing (which is only noticeable if you look VERY CLOSELY to it), and the flames on his wrb have little paint bumps (which again, are only noticeable if you look VERY CLOSELY to it)

I heard a rumor that the Tiga QC issue is because Bandai uses two different manufacturers for the figure. A Japanese and Chinese company. The ones from China have all the rubber and paint issues. The ones from Japan still have issues but not as bad as the ones from China.

According to the guy who top coated his Tiga, it kinda worked. It's much harder to remove the paint now, but more strenuous poses such crossing arms very far will still cause it to chip, though.

Saw another guy spray Tiga with rubber protector, and man, I don't know if I should chuckle in admiration or be sad people are going to this lengths to protect their Tiga.

Also, uh you might want to be careful in spreading his arms forward. Some Tigas can have their gears stuck and crack.

I still don't understand the design decision to add gearing to the butterfly jointing at all...

I'm assuming it's to counteract any spring-back resistance the overlay causes when doing poses with the arms crossing over the chest, so it doesn't work against the joint, but it doesn't look like it was thought out well if it's so fragile that just the usage of the joint alone causes stress.

I mean I can understand, you can only make something so durable when working within these parameters. What I really want to know is why they spent four years overengineering this thing when they already had a perfectly good figure on display in 2017.
