It's a "Looks Better As A Toy" kinda situation

Super Tatoba and regular Tatoba sure are one of the few designs that can pull off the Pan-African color scheme really well.

Hellrising Hopper looks great IMO, the colors are awesome.
I don' expect any listings today, probably next week when orders are open to everyone, but should something pop up I will share it here, it would be cool if we could help each other out since we don't know which site will get these and when. http://www.tokunation.com/attachment...1&d=1629184994 |

We got some new Acrylic Logos -- a Calibur mark and a mark and Core Medal set for Tajador! All set for October release; hoping BBTS gets those Core Medals

It is pretty nice! I was distracted by the gorgeous shots of Tajador myself

Jaaku is gonna be one of those SHF that I will always regret not picking up whenever I see it now. Same with Rogue.
Then again, I felt that way about Ichigata but now I'm over that suit. |

Thanks for sharing! |
I must confess that there'd been too many times I almost swallowed the $110 Espada pill. :lol
I only didn't because of: A. Waaayyy too much I'm willing to pay for for Espada Actually, ironic since I paid $95 for Valkyrie B. Kenzan might come up soon C. Fingers crossed for Golden Alangina or V-Cinema form Is tough. https://i.imgur.com/r2oNxvP.jpg |
I just buy everything. I hate not having what I want, and I want ALL of these figures….415 Rider Figuarts down,173 to go
|
There's a Banpresto statue of Espada that I've seen at my local toy stores. It looks excellent. That gold and silver paint, halo visor, and oh look at that, actual printing on the Wonder Ride Book.

-Main rider -Secondary -Q2 rider -Main rider super form, Tertiary rider or secondary super form I like Tho, these last two shows have broken my rule for that... I'll need to be strict on myself for Revice haha. Quote:

It's now been 6 days so I decided to release Seihou Tiga from his slightly awkward pose on my shelf and finally start moving him and swapping out his hands. Now I have heard here that there's some copies that got it worse than others, due to different factories, maybe? So I don't know if mine was drastically bad to begin with? But if it was then leaving it for 6 days at normal room temperature just on my bookshelf has seemed to work out fine for him; the paint is dry and unmoving when I touch it and there's a couple spots here and there, mostly on his back because he did actually fall over due to a spot of bad luck during the week; but ultimately he's fine. If you are in a similar place to me, you're a big Tiga fan but don't have air conditioning and just wanted to shell out this once for a high-quality figure of one of your favourite guys and you've got a bit of patience; this should work out for you.
And he looks kinda gorgeous, I've gotta be honest! Perhaps one of the best looking figures I have, maybe the best. Was it worth all this? ... no, I really don't think so; but in the long run, at the end of the day I have ended up with a representation of one of my favourite Toku heroes who looks phenomenal and makes for a lovely centerpiece of my collection! I'm just gonna be veeery careful with his arm articulation and not even think about touching the Zeperion Beam until a third party company comes up with something. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...697/image0.jpg https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...135/image1.jpg |
Now, do the beam pose.

It does look good!
But it is funny how all these precautions are leading us to handle figures less and less. And well.. it might as well be a statue. Setting a pose and leaving it on display is par for the course, but there's just something about the idea of being able to change it if we wanted. Also as someone who builds a lot of Real Grade Gundams, just seeing them on my shelf makes me think of the engineering marvel behind each of them. Perhaps when this whole rubber parts thing is perfected, we'll reach the next evolution of Figuarts. And then we can rebuy all our favorites all over again! |

Rubber parts do not look good when articulated, they sometimes outright limit poseability, and they degrade over time. There's basically no upside. And yet, more and more toy companies continue to do it, and it's a shame as I've had to miss out on some figures that I'd otherwise be interested in because of it. The 1000Toys DMC5 figures, for example. I just hope this trend doesn't touch any of the ongoing lines I'm going in on, like Seihou OOO. Much as I'd love say, Aqua, Birth, etc. If they decide that rubber is the way to go over plastic and/or diecast? Yeah, no thanks. Even if joints are "ugly" atleast they function and they're reliable(most of the time). |
rubber covered joints are so bad i don't get why there are people obsessed with having no noticeable joints on their figures
because rubber covered joints are by far more blatant and ugly looking than normal joints |
I mean, I absolutely get the appeal of joints being less visible. It... I mean it kinda goes without saying, right? In theory it's obviously more accurate to the suit and gives a more seamless appearance.
Personally though? And this might be a bit of a weird opinion, but even if there were technology that would allow for a perfectly seamless appearance; I think I'd still prefer the visible joints! There's something just really cool about them to me, at least on Kamen Riders? The appearance of most Riders to begin with involves layers and armour, so the joints feed into that and just look cool to me |
Also don't forget that the Akibaranger suits were designed to look like toys! The knees and elbow armor is supposed to resemble a figuart joint.
I actually think the Saber suit knees and ankles also do this well. |
Metsuboujinrai will go up tomorrow.
6,600 yen. I'll pass. Tho, neat he has the katana. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E9G8z5SV...jpg&name=small |
Oh, god, that's really sick actually
|
Here's the pre-order page! He's the first 2022 release, and perhaps more importantly than the katana, comes with his Go To Utopia pointing hand

So, uh, we're getting Dire Wolf, right? And ZAIA? Please?

Releasing Dire Wolf before Rampage Gatling would be downright hilarious. But I guess it's a whole trend now of not doing the Main Rider's TV Final Form for ages, right? :p

Just got my METSUBOUJINRAI with Hobby Genki, https://hobby-genki.com/en/shfiguart...boujinrai.html
