Tarantula is definitely one of the better sentai mech designs in recent years.

It really is. Interesting how the additional legs over the shoulders are just duplicates of the arms without fists, complete with hinge and empty wrist hole.

I’m confused on #5 & #6, why are KingOhger wings and parts?

They are optional/upgrade parts for Kingohger. One set of wings is bigger to better cover the legs in beetle form. And one set is smaller for just the combined mode to better match the suit.

Same goes with the other King Ohger replacement parts. They better match the combined form suit.

Ah I see now, that?s cool that they added in those parts for accuracy!

I think the Minipla SP set is gojng to be a metallic version of the Legend King-Ohger set. I would love to see a Minipla King-Ohger ZERO though. I'm guessing the Minipla King-Ohger ZERO is going to be a Premium Bandai exclusive much like all of the other Minipla villain mecha.

Yeah the SP01 set will probably be a metallic version of King Ogher and possibly the legend Shug Gods.

The listing says there are 12 boxes so it could be similar to the Don Brothers metallic set which included Onitaijin, Omikoshi Phoenix, and Toradoragonjin.

We finally know what the SP01 version is. And it is indeed a metallic version with the legend Shu Gods as most have predicted.

I will say, this one looks hard to tell apart from the original. Metallic versions and glister coatings come in many varieties.

It's because of the sheer amount of black on the figure, coupled with the legend shugod's pre-existing metallic portions. I can only really see a difference in yellow.

The King Ohger mecha is particularly suited to the Minipla line. It has little to no broad areas without some form of surface detail or interspersed color.

Those gold stickers are still hella painful, though luckily they're optional.

Good to know we're gonna get the full Thunder Ultrazord combo in SMP form! Hopefully this does well enough for a Serpenterra, even if it isn't quite to scale.

Looks so awesome combined and an improvement over the original deluxe and Bandai legacy versions and that's no shot whatsoever to those versions.

I definitely want to add some chrome or metallic paint in various areas to make it pop more but I definitely look forward to this release.

Don't post here a ton, but figured this would be a good place to show off a bit. Did a KyurenOh kitbash - first time both painting and kitbashing. That in mind, happy with the results, and also learned a ton as I continue on.

Secret MVP in terms of non-Kyuranger parts should be... obvious enough. If it takes some thinking, my thought that it's forgettable enough is another added bonus lol. If anyone's interested, I'd be happy to give a rundown of non-Kyuranger parts used.

DairenOh SMP is looking great! Can’t wait for WTZ and Torr…hopefully Serpentara but I’m sure we’ll get them all. It look a couple of years for SMP Ninjaman so I’m sure this will follow the same formula…In Space still needs to more Megazords release anyway.

Given that DX Daijinryuu/Serpentara wasn't too much bigger than DairenOh and DaiMugen/Tor, it's probably in the cards at that scale... also since they now seem pretty set on doing everything without skipping.

Started building SMP Gao Icarus, only completed Gao Falcon so far and decided to use my gold gundam marker for the details instead of the stickers. I am very happy with the results! Some parts could use a little touch up but I probably will just leave it as it is.

Building up that bird was pretty fun. That was actually the first model kit I ever built.

The ice thing about Gundam markers and the in-set detail lines on the GaoRanger SMPs is that you can literally use a pencil eraser to get the spillover off.

Looks great! What kind of Gundam marker is it? I can't imagine getting anything to look this clean with the ones I have. But maybe I'm just terrible at it :lol

Did not know about the eraser trick! I just used cotton swabs with alcohol to clean it up.

It's a gold marker from a set, I believe it's the Sangoku Soketsuden Gundam Marker Set. But they should all be the same type of pen? I'm not too familiar with all the different types.

No, I have not applied any clear coat on it.
