Jeeez, what has been going on in Seihou SHF lately?
|
My only guess is this is due to them switching factories from China to Vietnam.
Or am I misremembering? Cuz I can't recall if it was GSC or Bandai who switched factories or maybe it was both. |

I know for sure that it was Tamashii Nations.
People talked about it on a forum dedicated to Dragon Ball SH Figuarts. Also... I think I’m gonna hold off a bit on collecting Kamen Riders Figuarts for a while (Mainly the seihou line)...it seems to be riddled with QC Issues. |

I think a combination of both these issues are the reason behind most of Tamashii's major flaws this year, particularly in regards in what appears to be pre-order stock.
|
Pretty sure this cape problem's fairly isolated, also? I don't remember seeing any other mention of Dark Kiva's cape not being glued securely before seeing it here.

I've literally never had a problem with their other wired capes, hence I was just unprepared to deal with this one. Gonna grab some fabric glue and hope I've got a steady enough hand to apply with a toothpick along the edge and get it fixed. But it's just mine. |
Pretty sure you just keep on bending and straighten the cape until the glue loosen. Had the same issue with beast mantle keep on bending and straighten the mantle until the glue loosen.

Been a while since we've seen SHF complete a main rider evolution tree.
Ex-Aid technically doesn't count because we don't have Mighty Creator :lol https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E_hsz89V...jpg&name=large Ninnin Comic looks fantastic btw. I thought they'd pull an Ichigata and have it so his yellow is just plain plastic, but it's in this weird semi-metallic mustard yellow that looks so good. I kinda want him... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E_iYBWsV...name=4096x4096 |

Grand Zi-O is my most anticipated Figuart! What an insane accomplishment. When I first saw the suit debut in the show (okay okay first saw the suit in a leak), I was like, there's no way this is getting a Figuart. In my mind it was relegated to Build Genius Status of impossibility.
Actually until I saw the very early prototype previews for the Figuart, I wasn't even a Figuart collector. Before that, as mostly a Mecha collector, I only had a few older Figuarts here and there. Now my collection has grown significantly. So this figure is actually responsible for me getting into the line without even being released. It may have also opened the floodgates for Nendoroids in my collection too! I now have Buster and Ultraman Z Original on pre-order, making this possibly the best year of Figuarts in my mind. If the Den-O Liner Form rumors are true, my wallet will never forgive me for this year. |
I'm only a little miffed that he doesn't come with weapons. I mean, yeah, Grand can borrow any weapon he wants, but having at least the Saikyo Girade would've been cool and alleviated that hefty price point somehow. Final forms are... a luxury at this point.
I'm hoping Genius goes up within the year, if there's one final form I'd have trouble hesitating on it would be that one. Weapons or none. Edit: Gamma Future comes with this. https://i.imgur.com/zNqNJ1O.jpg |

Definitely hoping they'll be including optional wings and an alternate head for Chou Climax!

I really hope they'll reveal Sabela and Durendal soon. Probably will see something at least at Tamashii Nations 2021. Really hope so. Also hoping for Saber Primitive (Elemental) Dragon and Xross Saber, Blades King Lion and Tategami Hyojusenki, and Saikou Shadow (as unlikely as that's becoming).

Question: it is possible to pull Figuarts apart from the waist? I mean, yeah obviously you can because many people do it, but like, how? Do you just yank them apart at the waist or something?
Just curious. |

If you want to be sure, you can dip them in hot water like TARAI_YOU does. |

the joint between the biceps and shoulders is easy to pull off for most figures. most of the time you don't even have to try. the real difficult joints are the double jointed elbows and knees. you definitely need an external tool for those and even then you probably won't get a clean pull. the thing is, these joints in particular aren't "meant" to be taken apart, hence they're pretty difficult to pry, but fun fact - almost every kamen rider figuart uses the same pegs for the knees and elbows. honestly once you dissect one figuart you become very comfortable with messing around. these figures aren't as intricate as they lead you to believe. |

Another question for you guys, how tall are the Ex-Aid Figuarts? I'm thinking of buying the three-pack now that I can afford them but I'm not so sure how tall they are. Yeah I know that the Figure-Rise is bigger but I have my reasons for wanting the Figuarts. |

They are like 14-15 cm. |
Okay so Figuarts are roughly 15cm tall, just roughly under the size of a Voyager-class Transformer, got it. Thanks guys.

Hey guys, just wanted to know how sturdy/fragile are Figuarts and how careful I have to be with swapping hands? I know Figuarts isn't supposed to be for playing like you do with Transformers but just want to know how durable they are. I don't want to end up, like, accidentally breaking a super expensive figure if I get one. Thanks in advance.
|
They won't survive a young child, too many small and fragile parts, but as an adult I think build quality is comparable to Marvel Legends and stuff. Only difference is the articulation works a lot smoother because the figures are made with a higher budget, and the plastic is much better.
You have to use force to swap parts, but I haven't broken a single one yet. If you ever swapped a part on a figure that was connected via a balljoint you know the drill. Can’t hurt to be a bit more careful though, especially if you haven't handled a Figuart yet, but as soon as you have it in hand for a few minutes you’ll get the idea. |
Make sure you are pulling straight out; lateral force is more likely to break something
|
Only times a hand has broken on me was a fluke Cell saga Gohan, and a ROTJ Luke with a known defective wrist.
Only other breakages came from a Cronus falling off the shelf and landing on his horn. |
You can also overcome stiff joints with heat, either letting the figure submerge in warm/hot water or using a hair dryer
|
Worth noting that joint and parts-swapping (like the hands) are much more stiff right out of the box. They loosen up to a comfortable amount with a little handling.
|
I play with them like they're transformers and they're fine. these aren't statues or model kits they're meant to be extremely durable for the most part. I also recommend messing around and "breaking in" every single joint right out of the box.
|
I always get so worried and stressed that I'm going to snap the balljoint when I'm swapping out hands but it just never happens
