I broke the wrist joint of my Seihou Wizard swapping hands, and I think it's given me an anxiety disorder. Very, very anxious when I swap hands on any Figuarts.
|
Most of the time wrist joints on Figuarts are very durable and easy to swap around.
If it feels like the connection to the hand is too tight, I recommend shaving the pegs down just a bit with an exacto knife. I do this with all Figuarts that have tight wrist peg connections and it always works perfectly, especially on releases plagued with pegs prone to breakage like the Go-Busters or Kyoryu Red. |
Rather than shaving pegs down, something easier to do is to just widen the holes of the hands using a single turn of a screwdriver.

Did it when I saw a little white mark on my flamingo Jin's wrist one time. Though, I'm not sure if that was just the light reflection making it look like a stretch mark or if it actually was. In any case, if one does break a wrist joint, there is this tiny ball-joint-and-peg that's included in gunpla add-on sets (Namely, Ballden arm arms and No-Name Booster, etc.) that fits perfectly where the wrist joint was and the ball perfectly fits the hole in the hands. I think I said this before here. |
I will say shaving the joint doesn't risk damaging it at all. It's trimming the plastic, so you are technically customizing it, but it's at most lightly shaving the ball portion of the joint on at least two sides.
Not as risky as some might think so long as you're not going nuts and just slicing it into a stick shape. Don't even need to heat the plastic beforehand. |
Thanks for all the input guys, I'll be sure to remember this when I get to buy a Figuart. Turns out the only available shipping Mandarake offers to Australia is DHL at the moment due to the pandemic, which jacked up the cost way too high for my liking. I mean, it would be one thing if it was multiple items, but I'm not shelling out over $200 AUD for a single item, even if I do get 3 Figuarts out of it.
I'll just wait until this whole situation blows over or until SAL comes back before I buy something. |
Plat Form ver. Keitaros Phone and Axe/Rod forms announced.

What?! Like, I'm glad they're technically re-issuing stuff, but... man that is mean. They knew what posting an image of the Keitaros phone as a teaser would do like- oh my GOD. I'm kinda laughing actually this is funny |

Kind of fucked for anyone who bought twice of the original Plat Form. |

That's genius.
And I mean that in terms of money-grubbing, not actual functionality. Especially since I'm pretty sure Plat Form is already up there with Momo as being an easy SS to find. |
I had a feeling something like this would happen. Not exactly in the way I thought but I called it.

I never noticed Ax-Form has a green dot on the forehead, lol
|
Top coat your Tiga, bros. It makes him feel less sticky and a little more resistant to paint chip.
Edit: I'm gonna pull his arms forward and leave him there for a while. Let's see what it might do. :lol https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E_2S1OzV...name=4096x4096 |
I bought 2 Plat forms but I was unsure if they would either put up a different Plat form or include the other torso piece. At least with this I'll have all base forms.
|
Do we know what is the different between this new platform and the old platform?

I guess technically if anyone did buy a second Plat Form expecting it to be compatible, with the new Plat Form you'll be able to have all 5 base forms on-display at once.
Thinking about it that way makes it even more genius from a marketing perspective. |
The listings are up on Premium Bandai, so you can check for yourself. But yes, it's just the Keitaros and that there's mutually exclusive compatibility with the forms

SS DenO and platform were not selling really well and it is vastly available even until now, so I am hesitate to preorder and will try to see if I can get it cheaper when it is released next year |
|
Has anyone else's SHF Z pre-orders on HLJ shipped? Mine's been stuck at 'processing' for almost a week now.
|
No, but on a similar note, I haven't received any information on my orders for Z Original and Gamma Future from Nin-Nin Game and Nippon-Yasan respectively.

Amiami, who's usually pretty quick processing these things, also got hit by logistic delays. Guys, everyone is experiencing setback |

Gotcha; I wondered if that might be the case but I was worried so I just wanted to check. Very happy to wait given everything going on, was just kinda scared I wasn't getting him for some reason :)

So I know it's been asked before but I can't recall the answer so I'll ask again:
How hard would it be to kitbash, say, a Hyper Shinken Red into a Hyper Shinken Blue? |

I mean, if you're careful, the only painting you'd need to do would be the torso.
Everything else could likely be swapped with the standard blue parts with a bit of work. |

you'd be surprised at how compatible sh figuarts are in terms of engineering. as previously stated the only issue would be color matching - which can be really difficult.

They really don't want to release Ribut and Grigio I guess? Heck, with the trailer for "The Destined Crossroad" out I assume they will only release a "Grigio Dark" instead. |
To be honest, I figured they would eventually release that version of Tri-Strium after they did Zero Beyond Galaxy Glitter earlier this year.
What I can't understand is them hyping up the entire even around a repaint. For Christ 's sake, they even had the Grigio prototype in the livestream, why couldn't they have made that the release? |
The story may not have been super great but Taiga is just such a nice modern take on the Taro design. Here's hoping Regulus gets a release.
