Tried to do my own little "SHF Upgrade". Did it work? I swear it looks darker looking at it with my own eyes vs the photo. I've got ones for Kenzan, so definitely excited when I get my hands on him.

I use a black Gundam panel liner marker to dye the edges of the stickers from white to black.

Yeah, he’s the only figuart reveal, but some were hoping 50th anniversary Decade would be part of the drops tonight since he was revealed recently.

The drop is rather small too so there's probably another one next week or something. Getting pretty excited to see Revi and Vice!

Marvel and DC have a weird mandate on guns and merchandise. With DC, action figures and statues can't be advertised with firearms, but can still come with them. Meanwhile Marvel has a rule where none of their toys can come with realistic firearms, which is also why most Marvel Legends figures come with Nerf-like guns instead. From what I understand this is to help prevent "glorifying guns to kids" or whatever. It's a thing.

I'm aware of that mandate. It's just... hard not to notice that they very clearly included points where the holsters attach on his costume and yet, no holsters. Bandai's guilty of a great many sins, and laziness is absolutely among them. But not so lazy that they wouldn't cover those ports up if there wasn't *something* meant to attach to them.

Nerf guns and gun accessories are already glorifying guns to kids, I dunno what on earth they're on about. I mean, I understand the thought process but if they don't want to 'glorify guns to kids' maybe not just include them at all?

Probably left in so that people can put in their holsters/guns if they have them. Same reasoning behind leaving in trigger hands despite not coming with firearms.

While the sentiment is nice and all, it just confuses me because these are items that are aimed at and advertised towards adults.

With a company as big as Disney/Marvel, one department's overarching mandates don't often take into consideration another, more niche department.

I imagine the no guns thing was a just a blanket PR thing that results in bizarre implications for legal purposes.

Heck, in the US, companies are still not allowed to pack toys in with candy without insane oversight due to a legal precedent from back in the 80s surrounding a frivolous lawsuit.

Speaking of figure modding; does anyone know the material some of these folks use to attach the shoulder armor to the chest armor?
I've seen one person drill into the side of the chest and insert a tiny spring, but I think others might use a different approach

I've done it myself with a small strip of felt and some glue, but "amateurish" doesn't even begin to describe my merger attempts, especially compared to things like that Xross Saber!

Ain't that what TARAI_YOU did? He cut a thin strip of cloth and glue it to the chest armor and the shoulder armor to connect them together.

Beautiful custom and I liked Crimson Saber out of all the modes of Xross because of the skirt on both sides. I don't like the one sided skirt design atleast not for a final form design. I feel the same way about Primitive Dragon too...imo it would look much better with the double-sided skirt

Really awesome to see Valkyrie get another form. It's not Lightning Hornet, but her final form's the next best thing and currently relevant.

Given that Justice Serval is like 80% Lightning Hornet I imagine this could lead to that anyway. Still great to see, though!
